    Looking online

    Google maybe?
  2. I hope that your patronage of the FNRA dinner last month didn't keep you from helping anyone out. Regardless, I think it's awesome that you are willing to do this for other members of TGO. How many Benefactor memberships can we count on you to sponsor?
  3. If you can afford to do that for other people, why aren't you a Benefactor? You clearly use the site a lot.
  4. Yeah... sorry. The memo about this is probably on your desk under the TPS reports. PS: We need to stock up quick!!!
  5. A while back, I asked for some feedback from people who weren't afraid to think big. The feedback gained from that thread was invaluable and confirmed many of our suspicions. Namely, that most gun shows suck and for some pretty basic reasons. Now is the time to make an announcement. So without further adieu, I would like to introduce to you all... Joe @ Hero Gear, and I have teamed up to begin producing a series of quarterly Firearms Expos that are being designed to surpass the idea of a simple "gun show" and push the envelope into territory approaching that of a smaller version of what you might expect to see at huge events like SHOT. Both Hero Gear and TGO have become known for going all-out and the new Mid South Guns & Gear Expo is destined to receive the same treatment. We are already signing up vendors who typically don't even bother with gun shows because their own brick and mortar shops kick too much ass to be bothered with such things. These vendors share the same visionary spirit and are as excited about this as we are. More information is coming soon, but I just wanted to get this out there from an official channel before the word leaks out on the street through other means. Joe and I aren't real good at keeping secrets sometime, and I know we've both been spitballing this idea with some of our friends to get feedback. Things to know right now: ... We already have a contract on a venue and it's centrally located to a lot of people here on TGO. ... The first show will be held the weekend of December 12-13th this year! ... We will be doing shows the second weekend of March, June, September and December of 2010. ... It's not going to suck!
  6. Work day's not over yet... he shouldn't have left.
  7. Wow... Mike kept standing really close to me the last time we were at Hero Gear, and would drop things every so often. Now I'm starting to think it wasn't an accident.
  8. Joe tells people all the time that he was a cook in the Army. I believe him. Don't you?
  9. I just don't like the SK. You give up too much grip and mag for too little return in concealment.
  10. Don't drop it while you're out in the weeds or you may never find it again. Joe does good work. Probably has something to do with actually having to make weapons blend into the scenery for real at some point in his career as a Chef with the Boy Scouts of America Advanced Ninja-Pimp Task Force.
  11. Does Greyhound make travelers pass through a metal detector? If they aren't, then I don't see how they can guarantee that any passenger won't be carrying a weapon.
  12. My guess is that their prices are likely calculated off of a few different variables in their site's code. If someone changed something during an update or at the end of their big sale last weekend, it could have thrown everything off.
  13. I noticed it earlier as well while looking at some other HK's online just to see what pricing was like. My wife wishes I had never gotten rid of my HK P2000 so I've begun looking around again.
  14. Maybe sometime this week. If not, it will be at the TGO shoot @ Guns and Leather on the 30th.
  15. I don't think the HK45 is as large as the USP 45. I may be wrong, but it doesn't feel or look that way at all. It's only slightly larger than the M&P 9/40 full size in both length of slide and length of grip. In fact, last night I learned by sheer luck that the HK45 fits into a DeSantis leather OWB holster that I bought to fit my M&P but ended up not caring for. So I technically have a holster that I could carry the HK45 in if I wanted to.
  16. So who got to shoot the Skank target? That's my favorite part of the CIS classes! Skank Hunting.
  17. It would be appreciated if you wouldn't use serious threads to cut up and show everyone how witty you are. We do have a policy against crapping in people's threads. Thanks.
  18. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/class-iii-nfa-firearms-accessories/22193-engraving.html It's a sticky in this forum.
  19. Actually, Daniel knew I was looking and ordered it for me. It hadn't been in the shop for more than an hour or two before I stopped in to pick it up. I even had the honors of wiping off all of the HK packing grease. I had this guy do all of the roughing-up for me...
  20. Crap... outrun by the old dude with the hexagonal head!
  21. There was no hearing today, just the filing of papers.
  22. I used to own an XD45 Compact. Used to. Got rid of it for better firearms. I've owned several XDs and will never go back down that road again. While I never had major problems out of them, I did not care for having to replace firing pin indicator roll pins every few hundred rounds or having to send them back to Springfield for penny ante service that I could have done myself were parts sold to individuals. Big, big thumbs down for XDs from me. I cannot recommend them to anyone out of good conscience.
  23. Moody, let's talk sometime before you jump in a 9mm 1911. If you just want a single-stack 9mm, there may be better (and cheaper) options. If you're wanting it just because of the 1911 factor... there may be other options.
  24. I hadn't really. Apparently a guy on HKPro has found a case of these old annuals laying around, new, unopened and might be selling them with the proceeds to benefit a charity of some sort. I think it's a great bit of history, but I'm not sure I am amused enough to spend $25 or so on one of them either.
