  1. All of the PMs sent by that user have been deleted as has that user account. There should not be any further confusion.
  2. This issue has been taken care of.
  3. If anyone knows this AKer's real identity, please forward it to me.
  4. FYI ... "Pushups" is code for things that neither Todd or I can discuss on TGO.
  5. I want to hold one before passing judgment but this looks really cool.
  6. You were beat by jluttrell (by PM) by a scant 120 seconds. Sorry.
  7. Up for grabs... Ed Brow... just kidding! Up for grabs, Don Hume Agent 711 OT (open top) holster for 5-inch 1911, non-railed, right hand carry, cordovan color leather. Barely used. Easily a $60 holster but I figure someone here isn't carrying their 1911 the way that God and John Moses intended, so if I can fix that, I'm happy to help the cause. Please only speak for this if you do not already have a holster for your 1911, or if you're carrying it in some rickety POS plastic junk made it China. Either of those are an affront to the good Lord himself and this will make things right. Again, be honest. Don't snatch this if you aren't in need. Let someone who is take it.
  8. It's sad when a grown man acts like this. Very sad. Oh, and word.
  9. I spy a lot of M&Ps being used. Nice.
  10. I read an interview with Tommy Flannagan yesterday and he was saying that they are really going to develop more of a backstory with his character in this season and Season 3... so it sounds like he's not out for the count.
  11. We don't protect our vendors from their own practices. If it's a problem to them, they shouldn't have that policy.
  12. Honestly I think that this sort of damage control should be done by the owner of the shop rather than by an employee. Not that I doubt your sincerity for one second, but the people want to know that this spirit of "making things right" goes all the way to the top. If only one guy in the trenches is the only person with a profound sense of customer service, then it's going to be mighty frustrating when a potential client comes in and doesn't get you, or worse yet, you get burned out being the only one who has this mentality and leave for greener pastures. As an aside, I've been in there a few times and spoken with Brian about Franklin Gun Shop supporting the local gun owner community by becoming a Supporting Vendor here on TGO. He always seemed to dismiss it as if he was too busy to even talk about that. Perhaps a good way of making an inroad to the community would be to support the site that many of your customers and potential customers enjoy so much. Just an idea.
  13. I should ban myself for setting you up so perfectly.
  14. May it always be Mexican Food Night in your little fantasy world.
  15. I concur.
  16. I dunno, but I really hope that Chibs (Tommy Flannagan's character) isn't out for the count now.
  17. Is there an account of this story somewhere on the 'Net? I Googled it but couldn't find anything.
  18. I'm not sure why anyone would intentionally try to embarrass him like that.
  19. I've... heard... things. Cleaning out Wal-Mart of all their ammo makes a guy feel better sometimes.
  20. Here's the deal: I don't offer empty apologies. When I apologize for something, it is sincere and demonstrates the fact that I honestly believe that I did something wrong and that I am truly sorry for it. None of that stands true in this case, so I'm not going to satiate your need for recompense by giving you some sort of half-hearted "Hey buddy, I'm really sorry I pointed out some things that were pretty obvious but sadly just odd coincidences" just so that you feel better about the world. I hate it for you because you seriously seem to feel like some sort of gauntlet has been thrown here and that your honor is at stake, but the fact of the matter is that my own personal sense of honor doesn't allow me to devalue my own word by telling you something that isn't true. Namely, I'm not sorry because I didn't accuse you of anything. Get over it. Let it go. Embrace it. Go clean out a Wal-Mart of all of their ammo... Whatever helps you sleep better at night, but don't hold your breath waiting for something that isn't going to happen.
  21. Add to that list the Smith & Wesson M&P15 series of rifles as well.
  22. Man... if you guys knew what really went on behind those closed doors. (Not very much!)
  23. You initially asked about carry with a legal HCP, which is what I will inquire about.
  24. You're working your way into having even more in common with Slim than simple coincidences.
