1. I read an interview with Tommy Flannagan yesterday and he was saying that they are really going to develop more of a backstory with his character in this season and Season 3... so it sounds like he's not out for the count.
2. We don't protect our vendors from their own practices. If it's a problem to them, they shouldn't have that policy.
3. Honestly I think that this sort of damage control should be done by the owner of the shop rather than by an employee. Not that I doubt your sincerity for one second, but the people want to know that this spirit of "making things right" goes all the way to the top. If only one guy in the trenches is the only person with a profound sense of customer service, then it's going to be mighty frustrating when a potential client comes in and doesn't get you, or worse yet, you get burned out being the only one who has this mentality and leave for greener pastures. As an aside, I've been in there a few times and spoken with Brian about Franklin Gun Shop supporting the local gun owner community by becoming a Supporting Vendor here on TGO. He always seemed to dismiss it as if he was too busy to even talk about that. Perhaps a good way of making an inroad to the community would be to support the site that many of your customers and potential customers enjoy so much. Just an idea.
4. I should ban myself for setting you up so perfectly.
5. May it always be Mexican Food Night in your little fantasy world.
6. I concur.
7. I dunno, but I really hope that Chibs (Tommy Flannagan's character) isn't out for the count now.
8. Is there an account of this story somewhere on the 'Net? I Googled it but couldn't find anything.
9. I'm not sure why anyone would intentionally try to embarrass him like that.
10. I've... heard... things. Cleaning out Wal-Mart of all their ammo makes a guy feel better sometimes.
11. Here's the deal: I don't offer empty apologies. When I apologize for something, it is sincere and demonstrates the fact that I honestly believe that I did something wrong and that I am truly sorry for it. None of that stands true in this case, so I'm not going to satiate your need for recompense by giving you some sort of half-hearted "Hey buddy, I'm really sorry I pointed out some things that were pretty obvious but sadly just odd coincidences" just so that you feel better about the world. I hate it for you because you seriously seem to feel like some sort of gauntlet has been thrown here and that your honor is at stake, but the fact of the matter is that my own personal sense of honor doesn't allow me to devalue my own word by telling you something that isn't true. Namely, I'm not sorry because I didn't accuse you of anything. Get over it. Let it go. Embrace it. Go clean out a Wal-Mart of all of their ammo... Whatever helps you sleep better at night, but don't hold your breath waiting for something that isn't going to happen.
12. Add to that list the Smith & Wesson M&P15 series of rifles as well.
13. Man... if you guys knew what really went on behind those closed doors. (Not very much!)
14. You initially asked about carry with a legal HCP, which is what I will inquire about.
15. You're working your way into having even more in common with Slim than simple coincidences.
16. You know what's odd? I haven't thought about this nonsense all evening. You, on the other hand, have been obsessing over it.
17. Their property is not posted, so with proper permit and willingness to show it if asked by any present uniformed police officers, I see no reason why not.
18. A partial list that I am at liberty to disclose... Officially committed are Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey and Representative Donna Rowland from the GOP; U.S. Congressman Lincoln Davis and Senator Doug Jackson from the DNC; Tom Kovach, the chairman of the American Independent Party in Tennessee. So, we have persons representing all sides of the political aisle (all gun folks). Of course, we have Ronnie Barrett who will speak on behalf of the NRA and Mike Webb, who will represent Friends of NRA in Tennessee.
19. Nope. That is not an activity planned for the day, nor is it possible on site.

I'm going to make a minor exception for this instance, but I am not going to get into the habit of taking people's articles of clothing and having them embroidered. It causes logistical complications that neither I or the embroiderer really want to deal with.

Here is the original thread discussing hats... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/19440-tennessee-gun-owners-logo-hats-here.html I have very limited quantities on hand right now and am probably going to hold onto those for display at the October 17th event. I will be ordering some more of the black, khaki with color, and khaki subdued logo versions for the event.
22. Like I said, I didn't accuse you of anything. I asked a question and presented a scenario that could have been plausible. I'm glad to hear that it's not you, because then I'd have to ban you along with the other multiple accounts that have been made and summarily destroyed. See? It's all sunshine and puppies when you look at it like that.
23. Nope. I presented a scenario; I did not accuse. Therefore an apology is not necessary at this time, is it?
24. I have converted this article to a PDF in case the original link expires... 10 Commandments of Concealed Carry.pdf
