  1. Yeah, I really wish the weather had been more cooperative.
  2. IF YOU ATTENDED the Second or None event today, I would like to hear your comments on the event -- particularly anything that might help us make the event better next year. Suggestions or constructive criticisms most gladly welcomed. I will do my best to make sure that comments harvested from this thread reach the appropriate parties. I'll leave it open for a few days then close it and compile the results. Thanks!
  3. I have a few from before the event started but once things were in full swing, I had no time to take any more. I'll try to get them posted up on Monday; taking tomorrow off.
  4. Never saw you. My wife said she never saw you at the TGO table either. What's up with that?

    Dirty Ammo

Powder that doesn't combust fully inside the chamber tends to foul more because it's still burning as the gasses propel it down the length of the barrel. This can be caused by using slow burning powder, not seating the projectile properly, etc.
  6. Folks, I want to thank all of you who turned out today and braved this wonderful Global Warming that we are enjoying today. We had a very large crowd at the event and an excellent lineup of guest speakers. Ronnie Barrett absolutely smoked the stage with his speech and got a few Amens from the back rows even. Our own Nikki Goeser did extremely well with her address and there were people back near where I was standing that were visibly moved by her tale. I wish we could have controlled the weather and provided sunshine and warmer temperatures, but sadly the Liberals get to control the weather for the next three years. Just remember that when you go vote next! When Chris Barrett and I started talking about this event back in the late Spring, we were convinced that October would give us comfortable dry Fall weather. Statistically, we would have been right. Just don't ask us to pick your winning lottery numbers anytime soon. Anyway, it was a great day and we had a great time at the TGO tent. Any rumors about me catching my pants on fire are completely false. Just putting that out there. People like to lie about stuff like that. Thanks again! I'm heading off to warm up some and thaw out.
  7. We're sitting here in the Outpost, enjoying the Global Warming and listening to Steve Gill doing his live broadcast. Come on out!

  9. The event starts at 11am but The Outpost will be keeping their normal hours tomorrow, so I'm sure they would welcome you there if you show up earlier than 11. As for Lt. Governor Ramsey, I am not sure if he will or will not be attending. Unfortunately there is some inherent fluidity in organizing an event like this when the State House and Senate are out of session and so many politicians are back in their home districts. In fact, Senator Jackson is making an extra special effort to be with us tomorrow even though he has to another appointment earlier in the morning. Yes, stop by at the TGO tent and pick up a TGO name badge! Feel free to hang around and socialize and look for other TGO members sporting badges as well.
  10. You should really hope not.
  11. Mr. Barrett isn't on our payroll so he's free to promote whatever he wants to promote.
  12. There will probably be enough firepower present to handle all but the most determined zombies.
  13. Mike, I just got off of the phone with one of my fellow event team organizers and it sounds as though the majority of the speaking engagements will occur between 11:30 - 1:30 with other activities flowing over beyond that. In light of a formal schedule of who is speaking when, I hope this helps you better plan your day.
  14. Mike, I really wish I had that schedule but I don't. It was still a "working document" as of earlier today and I may not be able to get a copy of it myself until tomorrow morning. If I can, I will post it as soon as I see it.
  15. Sorry, but I see absolutely no room for relativism in the world of customer service. I don't believe that the customer is always right, but certain behavior from representatives of a company are just absolutely unforgivable transgressions. This guy should be fired on the spot if that's his approach for handling unhappy customers and potential customers.
  16. If I were Rick, family or not, you'd be looking for a new job after posting a comment like this a site that has over 5,000 registered Tennessee gun owners on it and gets an average of 30,000+ unique visitors every month. Wow. Just wow. WAY to go!
  17. It looks like mother nature still might give us a little misting of rain tomorrow but the Second Or None event is still a GO and will be no matter what the weather dishes out... unless it's a tornado, or an earthquake or plague of locusts... The good news is that there IS a very large tent on site now and it butts up to the existing awning that covers the entrance to the Outpost Armory. This decision was made last night to ensure that the weather cannot sour the event. Many (if not all) of the corporate sponsors will also have tents erected all around the main event itself, so there will be plenty of cover if a little rain sets in at any point during the day.
  18. Gotcha. Maybe the owner will understand why good PR is so important if he gets a chance to visit.
  19. Dude, seriously... if that building had been a gangsta, you wouldn't even be reading this right now. THAT is how close you came.
  20. Anyone who says that a police department is a safe place to be, clearly has never watched the original Terminator movie.
  21. You're very likely going to miss most of what is important at tomorrow's event if you leave Nashville at 1pm.
  22. Really? Where? The one by Kroger went out of business the last I heard.
  23. I can't tell you how many times I've carried legally in Lenny's prior to this as well. The problem sort of "fixed" itself though when all of the Lenny's locations in my part of Middle TN went out of business though. Now we just go to Jersey Mike's. As far as I know, they don't post.
  24. Sorry for the inconvenience, guys. I wish it had been something that I could have fixed. Being at someone else's mercy sucks.
