Clearly I need to post less on TGO since I am inexplicably "too close to the issues" to react without partisanship. Sadly, while that is purely a sarcastic response, I find myself having less and less time lately as we bear down on the Expo event in December. Just too many irons in the fire. So really I suppose this is a self-correcting problem. I'll post less by attrition, and some people will be happier as a result. Win... Win?

I'd check into the PRI Gas Buster charging handle if I were you. It's about a $90 upgrade but it's worth it. Keeps gasses from venting into your face when you're shooting, especially if you shoot nose-to-charging handle like I do.

Hey, tell me what you invest a lot of time and energy into so that I can make spiteful comments about it and then we can compare notes.

I think I'd just build it with whatever parts you plan on upgrading to later, and be done with it. You're putting money unnecessarily into items that you're going to discard and never be able to recoup. It's not like people often buy spare milspec charging handles; they're always upgrading to better ones. Just my $0.02 worth.

I wouldn't buy a recoil-reducing anything for a .223 that cost $99. There just isn't enough recoil to be reducing.

The Mossberg is a fine weapon and will serve you well. Almost as many "toys" are available for it as there are it's Remington 870 counterpart.

I pulled the Luminova sights off of my HK45 and replaced them with Meprolights. I don't recall being this upset about them though.
