Lower parts kits? Colt. Or check with G&R Tactical as they were putting together a quality LPK at a substantially lower cost point than Colt. Truly, you could just use a DPMS kit and be fine. I run some of their parts in my SBR lower and have had zero problems.

For the record... A new version of the forum software is coming down the pipe really soon. I'm not making any more adjustments to the forum code until I see what is included in the final version of the new stuff. There's no sense building a bunch of hacks into the existing system only to scrap it in a few months. We'll just suffer along with what we have right now until the other changes take place.

Sorry; I just have a pet peeve about these topics since they tend to ruin the "mainstream credibility" of firearms ownership when they devolve into tales of how we're all going to dig foxholes in our yards and fight the man. I think I can safely say that many of us here share the same worries. I just don't think that a public forum is the place to discuss some of the courses of action that some folks may choose to take.

A lot of these things could be resolved, much like they were on Arfcom, by using a structured classifieds system. We had that once before but people hated it.

A week's worth of food at $1.00 in some third world hole generally consists of rice, flour or corn meal (if they are lucky), powdered milk (again if they are lucky) and whatever bugs and rodent droppings may be within all of the above. A weeks worth of food in the USA is a little better quality than that, even if you're on government subsidized meal programs.

Just an update... I extended an invitation to Missouri Bullet to come and set up as a vendor or exhibitor at the Mid-South Guns & Gear Expo in December. The email that I received in kind was a simple "Not interested". After inquiring if they were not interested in December or just not in the event at all, they replied "Neither". Understanding that it's a bit of a long haul, I also view their indifference to the event in context with the number of LARGE manufacturers who are traveling from several states away to participate. In that light I feel fairly justified in saying that I will most certainly be spending my money with those who spend theirs with the local economy. I'm just throwing this out there for those of you who might feel the same away about such things and might want to shop around some at the Expo and see who is selling ammo there instead. YMMV.

I agree and I was working hard to get them here as well. However somewhere along the way signals got crossed and they committed to do an event closer to Ohio the same weekend.

I cannot believe how hard it is to get a good holster manufacturer to show up at an event that is practically guaranteed to drive business to them. I guess most of them are just one or two man operations and stay so backed up that they just don't see the point in generating more business. That said, I would really really really like to see a custom holster manufacturer present at our event December 12th and 13th. Ideally we want someone who can do either/both... I thought we had some local guys on TGO who were doing this stuff.
