  1. Agreed.
  2. Because Robinson is such a big player in the market these days. I mean... who doesn't have an XCR?
  3. I really wish you'd stop using the number zero instead of the letter O when you type Obama's name, Hex. You think it's cute I'm sure, but it ruins the ability for people to find your posts [lol] by searching the forum.
  4. Sorry, I was just commenting on how bad our reception for any signal is in our facility. Do they support WiFi?
  5. I don't know offhand. I'd have to search for it... or you could.
  6. Cool. We had to install Sprint PCS repeaters in our facility to even get signal.
  7. Just wondering if any of you have a Kindle from Amazon. I am thinking seriously about ordering one of the new DX models with the 9.7" screen as I do a ton of reading (mostly tech books for work) and I get tired of dragging two or three thick reference guides around all the time and don't really want to have to use a laptop just for reading a book. The added ability to buy a book (at a discounted rate) and have it delivered over the air, immediately, seems like it would be a huge bonus also. Just wondering if anyone here has one of the existing models and if so what you think of it. The DX isn't supposed to start shipping until the 19th of this month, so I am going to wait and see what the reviewers start saying about that model before I make a move.
  8. Rudeness of this level will not be tolerated on this forum. Master Blaster has been banned permanently.
  9. And get stuck with AT&T's horrible service? I have a Droid and a Verizon aircard. What I don't have is free time at work, or the willingness to sacrifice my job by being caught bypassing the corporate usage restrictions. I forget the particulars but I think "active" members are people who have signed on and posted within the last 60 days. The question was asked here recently and I found an exact answer and posted it in that thread.
  10. Several folks have asked about this l lately and I admit that I just have not had a chance to look. I suspected the answer based on how much tuning I've had to do to the server lately to keep it running fast, but here are the results... As you can see, we have topped the magical 1,000 members per day mark several times now. I want to thank all of you for your continued support of the site and for spreading the word. I know that TGO is far from perfect but I believe it's still the best resource for the gun owner in Tennessee and a great place to hang out with a terrific group of people. Along those lines, I'd like to apologize for my absence as of late. Sadly it doesn't look like it will improve any either. My new job has me busier than ever and my "free time" in the evenings pretty much consists of studying materials related to my job. My new foray into Corporate America includes heavily filtered Internet access so I cannot even access TGO during my lunch break or anything like that. It's a necessity for security reasons but none the less limits my presence here. Anyway, thanks again for helping TGO hit the 1,000 mark and please be easy on the moderators.
  11. Back the subject at hand... the new site design looks excellent. Kudos to the design team.
  12. Microsoft IIS will sometimes display that error when the server cannot respond to your request in a timely manner. i.e. It's overloaded with people checking it out. No, you need to think about what you're saying and how it's going to come across to the other people. If you're just jerking someone's chain, use some smilies to convey the proper attitude with your comments. I know from experience that it really blows to spend a ton of money and time on a project only to have someone point out an unexpected flaw. It's not so bad when they do it the right way. It's a real kick in the stomach when they do it the wrong way. Don't be that guy.
  13. If we charged a membership fee for every single person who signed up for an account on TGO (like the NRA does for their membership, for example) then I might consider an incentive plan like refer 10 members, get one year free or whatever. Since we don't, I can't. Benefactor memberships help pay to keep the lights on.
  14. No, they've been gone for a while now. Sorry.
  15. I've decided not to run the store for now.
  16. Folks, I'm getting out of the logo swag business for a while and am not going to license anyone else to produce it. I've had difficulty filling orders in a timely manner in the past, and now with my job requiring more of my time than it ever has before, I just don't want to take it on again. This may change in the future but for now I'm going to hold off on it.
  17. As someone who deals with servers on a daily basis, I can honestly say that comments like that really suck. No good deed ever goes unpunished.
  18. I'm not.
  19. This thread shouldn't be revived from the dead. Closing it.
  20. I guess it might be different if referring to a place as a "Smith & Wesson Dealer" meant that they were a SAW Company Owned store, a franchise, rather than just a privately owned shop that stocks Smith & Wesson firearms as a licensed dealer. Just sayin.
  21. Zero problems out of my current M&Ps. The only problems I've had in the past were speedily taken care of 100% on Smith & Wesson's dime. Just because you are having a problem with one or with their customer service, it doesn't mean they are all bad nor should it mean that anyone else should avoid buying them. Sorry for your luck, though. I'm sure that given a reasonable amount of time, Smith & Wesson will make it right.
  22. It's the tactical slippers he wears that make me happy to see him.
  23. Didn't Churchill say that history is written by the victors? So, if the Confederacy lost... this is just late coming.
  24. It would be much to your benefit to make sure you do read the rules before you go much further. Ignorance of the rules does not exempt you from following them, and we do enforce them here.
