  1. Hey, you know... I'm starting to see why you got fired. It had zero to do with your bumper sticker or your gun collection. Lots to do with your people skills.
  2. Tactical Metatarsals... duh.
  3. It's a colloquial term. Honestly, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt despite all of the throwing and revenging you're doing.
  4. You need to let this just be water under the bridge and move on. Trying to get revenge by having the other guy fired, in addition to throwing crap around at work, really does paint you as having some anger issues. Do the Christian thing and just kick the Domino's flour off your shoes and go be happy somewhere else. Someone smarter than me at the time once observed that the best revenge in life is being successful and happy. Do these things and you win.
  5. FWIW... Work issued me, several colleagues and our boss iPhone 4's back a few weeks ago when they first came out. While I absolutely love the iPhone for its web browser, Cisco VPN support, millions of apps and excellent email reader, I have two major bitches about it. One of which can sort of be remedied by jail breaking it, and one of which cannot: 1. There is no way to customize your email alert tones w/o jail breaking the phone. I've tried the Pushmail and Mailtones apps but neither of them work very well. I need this functionality when I am on call for work because I do not want the phone keeping me awake all night with mail alerts unless the mail is from a certain address belonging to our on-call system. 2. The AT&T network b-l-o-w-s. It's tons better than it was back in the day, but it still drops calls at random -- even when the phone is just sitting there in the center console of my truck and I'm connected by Bluetooth. Clearly not an issue of me handling the antenna bits incorrectly. Clearly just a fact of the matter that the AT&T network still sucks bilge water. I am on the cusp of asking for a Blackberry again and just letting them issue this iPhone to someone else. At least with the BB I had a decent network (Sprint) backing it up and could customize my mail alerts. If I do get another BB for work, I'll pick up a Droid-X for personal use on my Verizon plan.
  6. I'd order it with the plain jane plastic Glock sights and replace them with some of the Warren Tactical two-dot night sights. http://www.skdtac.com/Warren_Tactical_Sight_Tritium_2_Dot_Set_p/wrt.202.htm
  7. I'd love to do this. I'm a tentative maybe, but October already has me out of town half the month.
  8. GLAD to hear it ran well for you. This is the sort of range report I'm used to hearing from Glock owners.
  9. I'll gladly take getting older to the alternative any day. I think maybe this weekend I will make time to go out and punch some holes in paper. Haven't done that in... months.
  10. It's always good to know who your friends are.
  11. But seriously... work has been kicking my ass the past few weeks. Getting to travel every so often is fun at first, but it starts to wear you down after a while. Anyway, just saying Hi.

    Is it just me?

I have several handguns in .40SW and find none of them to be snappy at all. As was pointed out by JeffSig, I think many of the posts you see about it are copy-cat posts.
  13. No, if the automated PayPal system is used it applies that credit to the TGO account of whomever used it.
  14. I get so damned tired of the "slippery slope" argument. Political correctness is a web of bull**** that just slows people down from doing what is right. Does anyone even care what is RIGHT or WRONG anymore, or are we so progressive now that we're forbidden from seeing black and white and forced to spend eternity debating shades of gray?
  15. Having owned the Droid, played with the Droid X and studied the Droid 2.0 ... I'd still go for the Droid X. Especially since he's used to and likes the features of the iPhone. The Droid 2.0 is more or less Motorola's admission that they dicked up the original Droid; plus the software keyboard is infinitely better than the physical keyboard.
  16. The Droid-X is probably the best Android OS based phone yet. Willis's comment about the Blackberry makes sense in context with the technical infrastructure at his company, but you don't have those concerns so there's really no reason to remain tethered to the Blackberry. Blackberry devices shine brightest when they are connected to a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) at corporate HQ. Unless you guys have a serious enterprise-scale network at Hero Gear now, which would be complete overkill, you don't have this concern. I'd go for the Droid.
  17. And in their eyes validates the argument that he has violent tendencies. Little kids throw things in anger, and usually get punished as a result. I'd try to modify my behavior at work so that I didn't throw things anymore ... if I wanted to keep my job or future jobs.
  18. Aren't you using the video clip icon as shown above?
  19. Just copy the URL of the Youtube video from your web browser's address bar and paste it into the post here. Nothing else is required.
  20. Sorry, but have either Southern or Westboro Baptists flown passenger jets full of terrified innocent people into buildings full of terrified innocent people?
  21. Honestly I figure a smoldering ruin will quickly be between the two joints you listed.
  22. And for the record, while JayC is hell bent on beating the Constitutional "dead horse" of religious freedoms into the ground, allow me to don my cape and play the role of Captain Obvious for the moment. Our Constitution guarantees each of us the freedom of whatever religious beliefs we find appealing to us. It does NOT, however, guarantee us the opportunity to build a church, mosque, temple or prayer shanty wherever we damn well please. That's up to local municipalities, and if the no-bulls**t attitude of the few New Yorkers I know is any indication of the general species, I doubt this plan is going to get any traction except for among the ideologues and liberal loons. The common working stiff? He's the guy who is still mad as hell about the whole 9/11 thing and not about to forget what they did to us.
  23. I don't think it is a useless caliber in the least. I have several handguns chambered in .40SW just as I have several in 9mm, several in .45ACP and so forth. While I carry my 9mm more often than not, consider these points about the .40SW 1. It is a very common police cartridge therefore you will have no problems finding good defensive ammunition for it, over the counter. 2. Most handguns chambered in .40SW give up only two or three rounds per magazine as compared to the 9mm variant of the same handgun. IF there is a tangible performance improvement in the .40SW over the 9mm, I would say that carrying two or three more 9mm is of negligible significance even to those who value capacity over caliber. In other words, would you feel better carrying 13 rds of a more potent cartridge or 15 rds of a less potent cartridge. I'm sure this point will ignite a caliber war, but whatever... it's good brain food.
  24. Jay, sometimes your devotion to the spirit of political correctness seems nothing more than the sort of ideological anal lubricant often used in the sodomy of our Constitution. Cheers.
