  1. As I recall he felt that he was spending too much time on the Internet and that it was affecting his home-life. He decided to sign off and spend more time doing other things.
  2. The funny part is, these are only the moderators that you know about. Then there are the STEALTH moderators who have that power but never let their identities be known. Anytime you think you've pulled one over on the team, you might want to look over your shoulder.
  3. I concur. Send me a PM and let me know what happened. And folks, when things start becoming "not fun anymore" be sure to use the Report This Post feature located at the bottom of every single post made on the forum. If you don't let us know, we can't act to fix whatever is going wrong. Thanks.
  4. Fixed several typos in your title. I'm guessing you were eating a Nation while trying to compose the post.
  5. No worries there.
  6. Fixed.
  7. It cost me several hours of sleep trying to undo the mistakes that the hosting company made in the name of improving our service.
  8. Oh, I appreciate the support to be sure. I just can't believe the USPS is even still around, let alone the fact that we're continuing to use it to support an online forum.
  9. Gents, this sort of thread is NOT allowed on TGO. I suggest you put your penises back into their holsters, stop posting with them, and carry on about normal firearms related business.
  10. This is why I absolutely HATE the by-mail benefactor payments. Here's the deal: -- If you don't PM me and let me know it's coming, I probably won't go look for it. -- I travel for work ... A LOT ... so even then it may be a week or two before I'm in town to get it. -- I just got back from California and am running behind on a lot of things. Making it to the Post Office is one of them. I'll go check today. Sorry and thanks!
  11. Well played.
  12. Best post in this thread yet.
  13. You'll shoot your ass off with tha... oh, wait... nevermind. Nice holster. I'm curious as to why you feel it's better than the Raven Concealment Systems holster, unless it's just the MOLLE-ability of it.
  14. Dude, I had an In and Out burger my first day here and that was one time too many. These people need a Five Guys Burgers And Fries. They have no clue what good fast burgers are.
  15. I've had a few emails, PMs and IMs from folks who knew I was traveling this week, warning me that the mice have been playing. I'm inclined to laugh, but at the same time I'm afraid to look. At any rate, yours truly is typing this presently from the amazing Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. Home of Fruits and Nuts, but also home this week of VMworld 2010. Today's the last day and I'm soon on my return flights back home. I promise everyone I'll dig into all of the various goings on that I've missed on TGO for the past week as soon as I get my feet back on the ground and have caught up with my family. Apologies if things got out of control in my absence. The mods do a great job but sometimes even they get overrun. I'll try to restore balance to the Force soon. In the meantime, feel free to use this thread for a repository (or is it suppository) of San Francisco jokes. Oh, coincidentally enough while I was riding the BART (Bay Area Rapit Transit) last night at about 11:30pm local-time, I ran into an older gentleman proudly wearing an NRA hat and carrying a Taser International duffel with an Ann Coulter book peeking out from the side pocket. I was sure to compliment him on his choice of accouterments and struck up a brief conversation with him. I think we both exited the bus happy to have found someone else with conservative leanings in such a liberal city. Just something to keep in mind, I suppose. Despite the freakishness of SanFran, there are some really good people out here. It's a shame most of them will perish when California finally slides off into the ocean.
  16. I'm staying right off of the wharf.
  17. OH MAN! TOO FUNNY! Haven't heard that one at ALLLL lately. The pepper spray is to make sure the other guy is the one experiencing a burning sensation.
  18. 100 meter long trestle would be a pretty good clip to run. Worst case scenario, he was right in the middle, 50yds from either end. And depending on how the "floor" of it was constructed, it may have been pretty open with lots of space between the ties. He should'a jumped.
  19. Shouldn't have walked into the light.
  20. I've been slacking pretty hard on my gun shop visits for the past months. Mostly due to my insane work schedule, but partially due to knowing better than to go places that would take my money in exchange for new toys that go boom. I'm still exercising discipline in the latter, but I had a need for some pepper spray for an upcoming business trip to the land of Fruits and Nuts... so I took a trip toward Christiana today. If you haven't seen the renovations going on at The Outpost, you're in for a treat. An expanded showroom is almost done and the place was literally packed with gear. Almost so much that you couldn't walk in places; but you won't hear me complaining about that and I suspect you won't hear anyone else complaining either. I'm really impressed with how the place is shaping up! Chris and Butch both said they hope to have the new expansion complete in October, and I'm looking forward to seeing the end result. Now... I just need to convince my wife that I need that Nighthawk T3 in the display case.
  21. DO WANT!!!
  22. Guys like you keep guys like you in business, Medic.
  23. Negative. I spoke with Chris Costa at length about this but I never could find a facility (or just land, for that matter) where we could have room to stretch our legs and run as many shooters side-by-side as they prefer to have on the line at once.
  24. Such a brilliant post full of common sense. Nicely done.
  25. If I change yours to "St. Anger" would you be upset?
