Yeahhhh... that was part of the big mess that resulted. -
Hey folks. While trying to make some improvements to the forum this morning at around 6:30AM Central, I actually caused some pretty ugly problems. A bunch of user accounts got moved into different statuses which weren't accurate. After a few hours of trying to roll-back the changes, I decided that the best course was to just revert to a backup that I made of everything just after midnight. This proved successful. The bad news is that if you posted any replies or new threads between 12:01AM today and around 6:30AM today, you are going to have to redo them. The good news is that I reconciled the data that we had against PayPal and our credit card processor and there were no new Benefactor or Lifetime Benefactor memberships to true-up. *whew* I apologize for the inconvenience caused by our unexpected downtime today. This was 100% my fault. I am going to go ahead and turn the forum back on now and let you all catch up and get your fix of TGO.

I think you are maybe overlooking the obvious: Small handguns are designed and intended for "combat" purposes. They aren't designed with the bullseye plinker in mind.

@tercel89 I don't know if you've seen this already or not, but this is the video that inspired my bro-in-law to give them a try. There are several other videos on YouTube, too.

My brother in law actually went very recently and was so impressed by it that he made it a point to tell me about them. He's a foodie so... that was high praise.

I have one of these on my Staccato C2. Great little optic!

SOLD! CJRB Kicker Knife. D2 Steel Blade. Carbon Fiber Handle. This is a great little knife for someone who wants a nice blade on a budget. I originally bought it to give away as a Christmas gift but misplaced it and couldn't find it until recently. I went ahead and locked it into my KME sharpener and put a new edge with a mirror polish on it. It's new, unused and has never been carried. It comes in the factory plastic wrapper inside the factory box. Both of which you're welcome to throw away. Please don't eat the packet of dessicant granules that are included. They taste bad and might cause you to grow a tail. Specifications: Blade Length: 3.52" (89.28 mm) Closed Length: 4.75" (120.7 mm) Overall Length: 8.27" (209.98 mm) Blade Material: D2 Tool Steel Blade Thickness: 0.126" (3.2 mm) Blade Hardness: 58-60HRC Blade Style: Reverse Tanto Blade Grind: Flat Blade Finish: Stonewash Handle Material: Black G10 Liner Material: Stainless Steel Locking Mechanism: Recoil-Lock Pocket Clip: Stainless Steel (Tip-Up, Right/Left Carry) Weight: 4.66 oz. (132 g) Terms of Sale: Street price is $40 over at KnifeCenter.com (CJRB Cutlery Kicker Flipper Knife 3.52" Stonewashed Reverse Tanto Blade, Black G10 Handles - KnifeCenter - J1915-BK) Will sell for $25 mailed to you in the CONUS. Payment via PayPal Friends & Family. If you want to use PayPal Goods & Services, add 3% to the sale cost to cover the extra benefit that gives. Actual Photos:

SOLD! Holosun HE508T-RD Red Dot Sight (Fits Trijcion RMR Footprint). Lightly used. Excellent condition. What's better than a Trijicon RMR? In my opinion, the Holosun HE508T-RD sight is better, and since I have one more than I really need at the moment, this is a chance to pick one up for a good price. This optic was briefly mounted on my Zev OZ9 pistol, which I sold. The optic is in excellent condition, works flawlessly, is devoid of any scratches or damage to the lenses or the visible housing. it does have the expected "snail trail" marks on the bottom cover where it rested atop the pistol's slide. You will see those in one of the photos. Why I think this optic is superior to the Trijicon RMR is summed up by the statement that Holosun took the RMR design and furthered it with a slightly larger window, better glass, a side-loading battery compartment, and added solar power for the sake of dual-fuel and extending the life of the battery. All of these things come packaged in a rugged and durable Titanium body. Key Features: Uses the common Trijicon RMR / SRO mounting footprint MRS Multi Reticle System: Circle Dot; 2 MOA Dot; 32 MOA Circle Up to 50,000 Hours Battery Life (Setting 6) 12 Brightness Setting: 10 DL & 2 NV Compatible Complete Titanium Housing Convenient Tray Battery Compartment Parallax-free & Unlimited Eye Relief Technical Specifications: Reticle: 2 MOA Dot & 32 MOA Circle Power Source: Solar & Battery Battery Type: CR1632 Battery Life (Hours): 50000 Brightness Setting: 10 DL&2 NV Dimension (in): 1.78 x 1.15 x 1.15 Weight (oz): 2 Submersion Rating: IP67 Vibration Resistance: 5000G Terms of Sale: Includes everything that it came with from the factory. What you see in the photos. Street price on these is around $370 Will sell for $275 mailed to you in the CONUS. Payment via PayPal F&F preferred. If you want to use PayPal goods and services, add 3% to the price to cover the fees. Actual Photos: (It's hard to get a photo of the dot itself, but here it is to prove that it works.) (These are the only marks on the body. "Snail Trails" from being mounted to the slide of a gun for a few weeks.)

Here's a fun tidbit: My G45 setup with the X300UB light and the PMM compensator fits into holsters made for a Glock 34/35 with the X300UB light.

FOLKS... BE WARNED AND BE AWARE! The conversations shown above are actual messages that some of our members have received via Private Messaging from people who are attempting to scam them. These are just a few examples. The routine is almost always the same. Someone with a new account and low-to-no post count will message you privately about something you posted in our Trading Post forms, and either tell you that they know someone who has the item you want to buy, or that they know someone who wants to buy the item you are selling. REPORT ANY SUCH MESSAGES TO THE MODERATORS, IMMEDIATELY! Again, these are just examples and not every person who contacts you about your ad postings is going to be a scammer, but you should always trust your gut instincts. If something seems fishy, there is no harm in reporting it to the Staff before you take any further action. We are always glad to investigate for you! Be safe out there!

Restrict NEW members from sending private messages?
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in Feedback and Support
Update for February 7, 2022... I am making some headway on this. There are several features within our forum software that can be combined in just the right way to make it so that new members can receive and respond to private messages, but not start new private messages of their own. This would cut down on the number of scammers who sign up and then try to message people who've posted "Wanted To Buy" type advertisements, seeking to scam with them with the usual sales pitches. Stay tuned. -
I hadn't but when I saw "Makes length of G19 into G17 length, fitting all G17 holsters" they had my immediate attention.
-
Yes - the fact that it keeps the overall length of the gun the same as that of regular XL makes it a very attractive choice.
