  1. 99.999999% of the time it's something blocking the cookies from our software. Either the browser or anti-virus / anti-spyware software.
  2. Every day. M&P 40 in a TT Gunleather / Occidental Leather Stronghold Phoenix inside the waistband holster or a Raven Concealment Systems Phantom outside the waistband holster.
  3. Holy crap.
  4. Heh... I lived at the Overlook for a few months back in 1998. As soon as my lease expired, we bailed and bought a house in Rutherford Co. It wasn't so bad when we had two Metro officers living in the same bldg on opposite shifts from each other, as a squad car was always parked outside and must have acted as a good deterrent. As soon as one of them moved out, the thugs started in with the parties all night, every night, etc. Antioch should be nuked from orbit. Just make sure you're out before they do it.
  5. THAT... is badness.
  6. Panties. Out of your ass. Remove them.
  7. Couldn't care less about this one. Sorry.
  8. Hope all turns out well. Hate to hear about a beloved pet having troubles.
  9. Did I say that? I don't believe I did. I'm not even sure how you made the jump to that conclusion. I guess being pelted by plastic BB's has made you a little jumpy. As for the .MIL and LEO use of airsoft, perhaps - but I bet they don't play capture the flag and I bet you don't need to practice squad maneuvers. Like I said, the realism you take from it will depend on the realism you put into it. I hope you guys have fun. It's just not my cup of tea for the aforementioned reasons, and I guess I missed the request that we not use this thread to share opinions. Carry on.
  10. Someone will probably take offense to this, but I've avoided traditional airsoft because I have no desire to hammer bad habits into my subconscious. I quit playing army dress-up when I was a kid and the guns I carry these days have the real ability to hurt or get you hurt. Airsoft played for recreation tends to be more about reliving childhood "war stories" than being about teaching you anything worthwhile. Would it be fun? Sure. Could it be a great team building exercise or just good exercise in general? Sure. For me it's a personal decision. If I'm going to run around with a gun and shoot at things, I'd rather do USPSA, IDPA or take a defensive class. Most Softies probably spend as much on their gear as you'd spend on solid kit for a defensive carbine class anyway. Now, if someone wants to organize some force on force action where it's geared up toward teaching the individual how to clear their house at night, or how to use cover properly, etc. then that sounds worthwhile. Further, I bet the cost of kitting up for that would be a lot lower too. YMMV.
  11. Defensive anything classes in inclement weather, FTW. And I'm going to guess most of the class used Glock 19's.
  12. Nice! Bonus points for the BDS poster. What front rail is that? Looks very Barrett M107'ish with the angular leading edge.
  13. Blah blah. The guy probably has worked very hard to get to where he's at; so what if it's .gov money or .com money. It all spends the same and all comes out of our pockets.
  14. They have their time and place. Neither of which are on a carry gun.
  15. I had to do a double take as the Pachmayer grips initially made me think you had picked up a Springfield MC Operator for $350. Even still, that's a smoking deal. 5th Group I'm assuming?
  16. Everything aside from the ADM mount and Trijicon will be here next week. The Batte Comp 1.0 arrived today via USPS. Holding it in my hand, it sure as hell doesn't feel like $150 ... but we all know the magic doesn't happen til you start running rounds through it.
  17. I'll be using this thread to journal my midlength AR-15 carbine build. I have also decided to standardize on the same optic that I am using on my short barrel rifle, so I am going to skip using the Trijicon TR22 and instead use the EOTech OPMOD red dot sight. If at some point I decide to use a magnifier, it will be easy enough to implement a flip to the side magnifier behind it. Also, I am adding two photos taken this morning.
  18. Glad to hear that this review has been helpful to some of you and harmful to your wallets.
  19. Honestly, the easiest way to do this is to pick up one of the self-study books and then check out HamTestOnlineâ„¢ - Ham Radio Exam Courses for study aid if you need it. The first test is very, very easy to pass.
  20. I'm not sure why Jeff got dragged into this, but here's the situation: Member's subscription expired on Jan 6th. He claimed he paid on Jan 20th a year ago, therefore should have fourteen more days. I checked in Paypal and verified that his memory of the circumstances were incorrect.
  21. Shoot me a PM with your concerns and I'll look into it.
  22. Congrats. I can't imagine my wife not shooting with me.
