Welcome! It's an easy addiction to acquire and really only gets worse the more you add to your collection.

That crap can happen outside of a church, or anywhere else for that matter. A more correct statement is that's why I don't go places unarmed and why I don't make myself look like an easy target nor do I look like someone you want to approach if I don't know you, and I've put some people who meant me no harm packing when they got closer to me in public than I wanted them. Not saying it's entirely the victim's fault, but c'mon... personal vigilance has to come into play sooner or later.

Airport gun carry case

Another absurd one-size fits all solution, eh? Let me know when you can drive to Europe. -
Thanks, I'll get it posted for you momentarily.

Interesting. My wife and I visited Arizona last year and spent some time in Sedona and neighboring areas and really liked what we saw. Of course visiting and living someplace are two totally different things.

I run one of them on my mid-length AR build. Solid equipment. No frills, very simple, does what it's supposed to do.

PM responded to. I haven't spoken or emailed him in a few weeks now and am not sure how to get in touch with him. He changes email addresses and phone numbers a lot lately. Respond to the PM that I sent you and I'll try to get the commo forwarded through my family.

FWIW... I am most likely going to enable the photo albums feature on TGO soon. I just need to make a few more tweaks to the server before I do that. Stay tuned.

NRA Convention/Trade Show: Pittsburgh PA. Anyone going?
TGO David replied to BimmerFreak's topic in General Chat
It would have been fun and one of these days I'm going to make it to an NRA national convention... but I'm covered up with crap at work right now. Just no way for me to go this year. But I am a sexy beast! -
Daryl, I think I understand what you are asking now. I had originally understood it that you wanted the three banners to be in the rotation, which is possible. What you're wanting is for them to be in an animated GIF format. If you can have your graphics person do that, I can add that to the banner rotation. Thanks!

Where to take kittens for adoption and care
TGO David replied to ironsniper1's topic in General Chat
Not near Donelson, but I'd think that Happy Tails over in Franklin would take them. -
I had a neighbors cat crawl up in the engine bay of a '76 El Camino ( I think it was a 76 ) back in high school. It didn't last very long when I cranked it up before school one morning. I think I spent $5 in quarters washing the engine bay out. That was a lot of money back then. And a lot of cat.

There simply is no excuse for not seeing the countless notices telling you why you can't post something for sale in the Trading Post forums. There are even big notices at the top of each page IN those forums telling you why, if you aren't already a premium member. If you are going to participate in an online forum where the written word is the only means of conveying thought, you might want to polish up on your reading skills. Thread closed.

I'm going to cover my head and wince after I ask this...
TGO David replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't understand the need for this thread, but whatever. The Constitution was neither written for Democrats or Republicans. It was penned by our forefathers for Americans. Granted, both parties have tried to bend and twist it and its Amendments to their own causes, but that really has no bearing on whether or not an individual can be a Democrat and pro 2nd Amendment. Where most dividing lines between parties and their constituents are drawn tend to be on social, religious and fiscal matters. And frankly, I don't believe that the job of the Government is to be involved in either of the first two and if they weren't tangled up in social morasses, then they probably wouldn't have the expenses that have caused concerns over their financial blundering. Anyway, play nice folks. -
Interesting. I can see picking one of these up for my wife sooner or later.

Hang in there man. I'm sure you have noticed already, but the members of this forum aren't going to stop praying on your behalf until you tell them otherwise. TGO'ers have a knack of standing in the gap for one another.

Glock sights are cake to install. It shouldn't cost you more than $10-15 from anyone who does it.

Mav, I'm digging the strat. I figure if baby blue is good enough for someone like Beck or Clapton to play, it's good enough for anyone.

Eh... I had friends in high school who worshipped at the altars of Satriani, Vai, Van Halen and Lynch. They burned out too. There's nothing wrong with being inspired by someone, but if all you focus on is being like someone else, you're never going to find your own place and be happy with it. Same pretty much goes with anything else in life too.

I hate gun shows. With a passion. Two years ago Joe @ Hero Gear and I tried to start something new in the area... gun shows that weren't your typical gun shows. Maybe it was poor location or just the wrong time of the year to start something like that, but the turnout wasn't all that hot from either the vendors OR the patrons. I guess I've still got a bad taste in my mouth about the whole thing, but every time I hear someone else complain about how gun shows suck I can't help but think about how bad the turnout was when we tried to do something better. I think most people are content with what they see at these local shows, honestly.

@Extremescene -- Thanks for the offer. I am always up to see new guitars. I have a Les Paul Studio Deluxe (Vintage Sunburst) and an Ibanez AEL30SE (Dark Violin) that I bought to learn on. The Les Paul was sort of my "holy grail" guitar and drives me to practice daily. I may upgrade to a higher end LP down the road, but this should end up staying with me for the rest of my life being that it's my first. The Ibanez was the result of several weeks of reading reviews, playing guitars at Guitar Center, and finally deciding on an acoustic-electric to use when I don't want to be tied to an amp. I picked it up this morning and have been pretty pleased with it so far.

Who here plays guitar and for how long? As if I really needed another hobby, I recently decided to scratch a 30-year itch and start learning to play. So far it's been a total blast and I spend at least 30 mins a day practicing, but frequently it's more like 30 mins in the morning and an hour in the evening. Feel free to post guitar porn if you've got pics of your axe(s) to show off.

There's just something warm and fuzzy about a 10/22 with a suppressor.
