Go with one of the ceramic films if you can. It's a little more expensive but totally worth it in terms of UV/heat blocked.

Let's try to focus on the positives and not dwell so much on the negatives. Comments like this hurt more than they help. Being a moderator is a very thankless job and one that tends to burn people out, especially when they are met with a lot of animosity from certain people over and over again. I don't know that you would fare any better than Daniel has in that position. It's very easy to take comments like yours very personal sometimes.

In the metro area I would only consider "Performance Films" over on 8th Avenue. They did two of my vehicles and did a fantastic job. Highly recommended.

Wow... very cool thing to do. And just so everyone knows, Daniel did this 100% on his own. I was floored to see this in the list of new threads. I've been so busy with transitioning to a new job lately that I have spent very, very little time here. Awesome stuff.

I have friends who work for CCA but not as corrections. They seem to like the company.

Guns & Leather, The Outpost, Franklin Gun Shop... all seem to consistently have massive inventory. Hero Gear historically has had a massive inventory as well, although I have not been down there in at least a year and cannot accurately comment on how they are stocked now. Specialty Arms II has an good selection but honestly no more or less than what I've seen at other local medium-sized shops. Sometimes size is not a good indicator of quality, though. While the aforementioned are all usually outstanding, I have likewise seen many desirable things and had good customer/staff interaction at some of the smaller/new shops. D&T Arms and The Armory, etc. all fall into that category easily and I'm sure their inventory has grown since I was last at either of them. I guess the bottom line is that we are fortunate to have some really good shops around the middle TN area, many of whom are vendors here, some of whom have been and yet others who haven't. There really are few chances to "go wrong" within an hour of Nashville-proper.

My previous employer (I left on my own) employs a good number of tow motor drivers. They are based in Smyrna but have warehousing near Mt. Juliet / Lebanon. I'll try to find out who they use as their hiring agency.

Came very close to picking some of that up last night but we picked up a fifth of Laphroaig Cask Strength single malt. Holy cow. I've never been one to add a splash of water to my scotch, period, but this stuff makes it mandatory. I, my wife, and my buddy all tried a small bit of it straight and it quite literally turns to vapor before it makes it down your throat. 56.6% alcohol by volume. The description on the sleeve that it came in tells you to mix more water than scotch, so we did, and let me tell you... that stuff is a-maz-ing. I've never had a scotch so smokey and flavorful as that. We all were literally tasting the smokiness of the peat well into the evening after each having just a shot of it mixed with 1.5X as much water in a glass. Definitely a slow sipping scotch. Not something you'd want to drink for the sake of getting tipsy, but rather to savor it slowly. I'm now a huge fan.

It's pretty good stuff. We picked up some of the miniature bottles of it this evening to try with some friends. I'd be inclined to buy a fifth of it next time, but I'm sure it will take quite a while to work through that much of it.

Well, you know... he should have learned by now that if you get drunk and act like an ass, even if you sober up, you still acted like an ass. He won't be back after that little drunken tirade and frankly, the fact that he can get that plastered and lose that much control worries me considering the responsibilities incumbent upon us as gun owners and carry permit holders. That sort of lack of self restraint isn't what we need here.
