  1. Raven Concealment Systems Outside Waistband Holsters - products new home - Belt Holster Ask and ye shall receive.
  2. I'm always open to new ideas no matter what else is cooking on the stove.
  3. I can't believe that in this day and age with so many better alternatives for not much more money, anyone seriously defends the Fobus line of holsters as being a worthwhile option. But I also can't believe that Uncle Mike's is still in the holster business either, albeit for different reasons.
  4. I am open to this, however... there is a Classifieds script that can be added to the IPB forum software and I am leaning heavily toward implementing that once we convert. It totally changes the way that classifieds are posted on the forum and allows us to incorporate fields such as location.
  5. Haven't changed servers yet but the new one is online and I'm in the process of testing it.
  6. Exactly. I'd like it if those two clowns would get together and agree on a figure so that I could sell my house soon without totally losing my ass in equity.
  7. Not surprisingly there aren't many Citrix admins looking for work out there. We have a fleet of them at my company and they rarely move to other places of business unless it's to advance themselves somehow. Good luck with your search.
  8. Thanks again guys. It's reward enough knowing people enjoy the site and find it both useful and entertaining. Gun owners are good folks, by and large, and I'm happy to be able to offer this to the community.
  9. I'll be taking the site offline briefly this evening sometime to try and repair that. Going to wait til later though, as the site seems to be doing well right now and it's pretty busy.
  10. Thanks guys. You're all very welcome and I consider it more of a labor of love than a burden. Granted, it seems kind of burdensome when the site is running slowly -- but that's because I am very picky and HATE slow web sites. As for the new software, when we go that direction, the site will look different of course, but I am going to try very hard to keep TGO's characteristic appearance intact. I don't want to throw the baby out with with wash water. And yeah, currently I'm just going to move the site to a "different plot of land". The address will stay the same.
  11. I disagree with this video's lumping Kydex holsters into the mix, particularly since Fobus are plastic and not Kydex, but you get the idea. Fobus rivet mounting is not secure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDeKtgkZKmQ
  12. I may take the server offline again tonight to repair and reindex portions of the database. That may resolve this issue.
  13. Read the announcements, folks. Nothing is going to improve until I get us moved to the new server.
  14. Fobus holsters are almost a step above carrying your firearm in a paper sack. Almost.
  15. The SERPA lock design encourages bad finger discipline when drawing your weapon. If I am going to use an active locking mechanism I would much prefer something that uses the thumb instead, because your thumb isn't going to be covering (and slapping at) the trigger once the trigger guard clears the holster.
  16. <-- Still not a fan of the SERPA holster, for carry purposes, for obvious reasons. (Although they make reasonably good holsters when screwed to permanent / semi-permanent structures for house/office/vehicle firearms stowage)
  17. Quick Reply to PM automatically quotes what you're replying to. Use the method described above if you don't want that.
  18. Man, you are getting REALLY good with your photography. Nicely done. Far better than anything I can do.
  19. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it. July is going to be very busy month for me due to family obligations, but I hope you guys have a great time and a great turnout.
  20. FWIW, I also have another Yaesu FT-7900R radio (2m/70cm) less than 6mos old that I might be willing to sell soon. I am probably going to put a different radio in my truck soon and have to go with something smaller, and sadly more expensive, because of space limitations. The 7900R is a great radio. PM me if you're interested. I'll get around to listing it for sale officially sooner or later.
  21. Hand-held is fine if you're in an area with good repeater coverage, but I would honestly recommend a 12-volt mobile (vehicle mount) radio as my first and only radio if I could have just one. Reasons: 1. Higher power output 2. Better reception / transmission courtesy of more antenna options 3. Typically easier to use courtesy of larger surface for operating controls 4. More versatile since you can mount it in a vehicle, operate it from a 120Vac to 12Vdc power supply, or operate completely off the grid with 12Vdc battery supply, possibly served from solar power. Just my $0.02 worth on the matter as someone who's been playing with amateur radio (General Class) for about a year now. As for where to buy, I have used and can recommend both Gigaparts.com and Ham Radio Outlet.
  22. I haven't been able to work on it much today. I did ask the hosting company to investigate; it seems faster to me right now. Really fast, actually.
  23. This is a pretty vague question. That's probably why you don't have any replies yet.
