Maintaining a dozen different themes means that every time I update the forum software or introduce a new feature, I have to update every theme by hand. It's a tedious process and sometimes slows down my ability to get security and stability related updates put on the forum. If I have to weigh security and stability against a Baskin Robbins array of flavors... I'm going to have to err on the side of security and stability. Two days ago we had a problem caused by a corrupted cache of the different themes that I had running on TGO. The forum was down for about 8-hours because of it. This is kind of a damned if I do, damned if I don't scenario.

GET YOUR MILF ON! Look... I don't name them, I just buy them. But this one has a great name! This is the Milspec Folder #04 or MILF-04 from Hardcore Hardware in Australia. It is a tank of a knife. A beast of a knife. It was meant for hard use and would be great for both utility and protective purposes. It features a 3.54" CPM-S30V stainless steel Wharncliffe blade with a black PVD coated finish. It's a manual folder with a blade flipper and a phosphor bronze pivot. The frame lock handle has 3D-textured black G-10 scales that have four positions for the pocket clip and a lanyard hole. It's 4.84" closed, 8.26" overall, and weighs 7.34oz. I have replaced the crappy pocket clip with a black powder coated TITANIUM pocket clip from MXG Gear, a $25.00 part on its own. This knife has never been carried. It still has the factory grind on the blade, which is razor sharp. I am parting with it because it because I just keep going back to the same two or three knives already in my rotation and it makes no sense for me to hang on to this. I've had Doug do three or four for me now. He does fantastic work, and his prices and turn-around times are very reasonable. There is a thread on TGO about my custom M&P M2.0 that he did if you want to see more of his work.

I had Doug over at DP Custom Works do the slide for me. He milled it for the optic, milled the front top cocking serrations and then had the whole slide redone in black nitride (Melonite) finish. Custom Slide Work | DP Custom Works LLC

Emerson has had them in stock quite a few times recently. He just went out of stock 2-3 days ago, but bookmark this link and check it daily and you'll catch one: The Elvia - Emerson Knives Inc. Emerson has a "notify me" type option, but a lot of times emails from manufacturers and vendors go out after the knives have already been on their website for a few hours. This is my new Emerson Knives "Elvia" If you already follow Ed Calderon of Ed's Manifesto (edsmanifesto.com) you've undoubtedly seen the Elvia in his social media. Ed is a former Mexican government anti narco-terrorism agent who spent more than a decade fighting against the cartels in Northern Mexico. He has since retired and is now an American citizen and a very well-regarded specialist in anti-abduction, escapology, unarmed combat, region-specific executive protection work, and unconventional-edged weapons work. The Elvia is named in honor of his mother and is based on the design of a kitchen knife that she once used to defend her family. Ed began carrying this type of knife in his work and found it to be incredibly practical. He approached Ernest Emerson along the way and asked Emerson if he could turn the fixed blade design into something foldable. Emerson did. This knife is held and used differently than conventional knives. It maximizes the user's biomechanics and strength to use digging and pulling motions. The result is... brutally efficient.

Oh my goodness. I had a Colt Rail Gun but not the Custom Shop version. This is pretty awesome.

I’ve got a neighbor with one of these. I’ve shot it. Arguably one of the most comfortable 10mm guns I’ve shot to date.

It seems like they should refer to the new version as the M&P 2.5 since it's an incremental improvement. I guess they could also just call it a 3.0 since Glock seems to have no trouble increasing the Generation number (3, 4, 5) for minor improvements either. Anyway, the new flat trigger is pretty nice. Mine was pretty gritty and crunchy out of the box, even after I got the gun back from S&W for service (they had to replace the slide due to an optic screw being cross-threaded from the factory). But, it has improved quite a bit from dry-fire alone. I still haven't had a chance to take it out to the range. Maybe soon.

It is my opinion that the 1911 platform is easily the best platform for 10mm, except for maybe running it in a PDW. I had a 10mm Springfield TRP Operator in 10mm. It was spicy but felt right.

Yeah, the 48 makes a lot more sense when your other options are a 17 or 19x. If you want to get really freaky, do a G43X MOS and spring for a Parker Mountain Machine Micro JTTC barrel and comp package. It will come in at the same length as the G48 but... comp'd. I am toying with this idea, myself. I think the Hellcat is now out of the running based on the fact that several TGO'ers have said the same things about the gun that I've read elsewhere. Which means I'll either do a P365XL Spectre Comp or a G43X and PMM JTTC comp package.

I considered a G48 briefly but it just doesn't feel like there is enough of a difference, dimensionally, between it and a G19 for me to not just carry my G19 instead. Maybe one hole difference when tightening up my belt. Especially when I consider that I'd probably use Shield Arms magazines for 15rd capacity, meaning that the weight of the ammo between either the G48 or G19 would be identical.

Whenever a manufacturer releases a .22LR version of one of their popular platforms, they are marketing it as an affordable option for range time toward people who already own their popular platform. If someone outside of that ecosystem buys one, or if it sways someone to that ecosystem from another, it's probably just a bonus. This gun was designed with the P320 \ P365 owner in mind, first and foremost, if I had to guess.

Just as the title says, I’d like for you to tell me about your Springfield Hellcat. Bonus points if you have a Hellcat Pro. What do you like about it? Dislikes? How does it handle compared to a conventional mid-sized 15rd handgun like a Glock 19, Sig P320, etc.? I’ve got one of the first generation P365s but I’ve also been thinking about a 365XL or Hellcat Pro for summer carry.

Just edit the first post of the thread. Scroll to where it allows you to add tags. Keep the tag "Trading Post". Add a new tag called "Ad Closed". Save the changes. The forum runs a task a few times an hour that looks for that tag and closes the thread for you.
