  1. It's a metaphor. These shots are part of a promotional for a Chinese diner.
  2. This. IMO the Pro is nice for folks who don't have the mechanical inclination to tie their own shoes and can't install the DCAEK or just prefer to let the factory do the work for some reason. If it were me I'd get a M&P 9L, drop in the DCAEK, add some Warren Tactical sights and call it a day.
  3. High probability of finding a hair your pint of ice cream.
  4. An ice cream tie in with Alec Baldwin? Does it taste like vinegar and water? I'm thinking that Summer's Eve Sherbet would have been a better choice.
  5. You laugh now, but when a zombie is eating your kidneys I'll have the last chuckle.
  6. Nah... you just have to lead them a little more than you do children or dogs. Seriously. Children and dogs are hard to photograph.
  7. I don't carry a firearm to educate people or make political statements. There are other ways to influence the political system and win friends that are far more effective than scaring the sheep. I'm down for anything civic-oriented that can paint gun owners in a positive light. I'm not down for events where morons show up wearing their Sunday-best Camouflage, My Cold Dead Hands t-shirts and hogleg revolvers strapped to their thighs thinking that it somehow will acclimate the general public to the idea that gun owners aren't a bunch of fringe lunatics. I can't tell you how many rallies I've been to where someone thought it would be awesome to bring an AR-15 and walk around with it strapped across their back. Positive-spin Failure. As someone else said, you need to flesh out your idea publicly so that folks can decide whether they want to participate.

I've had one of these for years; love it. Great pocket gun. Either it or my Kahr PM9 get routine pocket use.
  9. I'll do my absolute best to be there if you guys do this again. Not crazy about it being an open-carry-fest, but I'd definitely be concealing as usual.
  10. Sorry to hear of this. For some reason, September has historically just been a rough month for me and a lot of folks I know. Wish you could have been spared the same.
  11. I've done it in the past and it was a tremendous pain in the ass. That was back when I had a lot more free time than I do now. Short version is I most likely won't be doing it again unless I can completely outsource the entire thing and let some other organization take orders, do order fulfillment and then send whatever "royalties" might come of it to go toward the forum's overall operating expenses. No offense guys. Just telling you all like it is. If this Worx place can do all of the above, I'll consider letting them do all the grunt work but no promises.

  13. Look in to Norrell's Moly Resin. I used it a lot a few years ago and had great luck with it.
  14. I'd try to transfer with your existing employer if you can. The retail job market is still extremely competitive from what I've seen. May be a good time to consider a career change.
  15. I'd say the odds are pretty good that it's in his best interest to swear by something provided to him for free by a sponsor.
  16. I still fail to see how this is a 4th Amendment issue. My rights end where someone else's begin. If they, as the land owner, wish to refuse entry to anyone who refuses a search, both parties are within their "rights" to refuse. No harm, no foul. But if you want entry to their property, you must decide if allowing them to search your person is an acceptable trade. Seriously this has nothing to do with the 4th Amendment.
  17. Granted these are designed for squad light weapons where reloading in the heat of things is not exactly something the operator wants to have to do. However, I'm sure that there are going to be gear whores who buy them up simply because it's the most "elite" new thing you can dangle from the underside of an AR platform. I won't begrudge a man the chance to spend his money his way, but it's just going to seem extremely silly to me the first time I see one of these at a range.
  18. I've been reading bits and pieces about this mag for the past few months and thought that surely the price point would fall considerably once they hit the street. Apparently not as I've received several advertisements from various vendors who now stock them at the low low price of $170-ish. Are Surefire out of their damn minds?!? I think I'll just buy eight standard 30rd mags instead of one Surefire 60rd mag and just get proficient at swapping them, the way every other AR shooter has been doing for the course of history. Definitely not for the average shooter, nor was it meant to be I presume. SureFire High-Capacity Magazine, 60-Round
  19. Or... Or... just maybe these officers were giving everyone a courtesy check to make sure that we all knew that they were going to be sitting there watching our speed. Holiday weekend and all that. I'd rather have a cop warn me than have a cop light them up and ticket me. Just saying.
  20. Ah... someone noticed it. It's a feature I've been meaning to implement for a while now and finally had some time to do so this morning.
  21. Benefactor status was renewed by this user on 6/26 and then the charge was reversed by Paypal on 6/29. That can happen due to insufficient funds or because the user requested it from Paypal. Regardless, the user would have known that this happened. Clearly there was also a case of the user continuing to list items for sale within pre-existing threads. Ban issued. Threads removed.
  22. Benefactor status is added and removed automatically by the forum software. I'll check into this and see what's going on. That said, anyone who edits a previous thread to sell something else after their Benefactor status expires is knowingly trying to cheat the system and that's not cool.
