  1. I've received word back from the hosting company and they have made a few changes to the system. We are also going to do some performance monitoring from 6pm - 10pm CST tonight to see shows up on both the virtual server and the physical host hardware itself.
  2. You realize this is a television show... about zombies... right? If it were co-produced by Pat Robertson, a gaffe like that would be more bothersome to me.
  3. Edit... You know, I'm probably more frustrated by this than any of you are. I'm opening a support ticket with our hosting provider to see if they can provide any assistance or at least point me in the right direction. This may end up being one of those problems that we have to throw money at in order to fix it. If that's the case, a fix may not be immediate until we pick up a few more supporting Vendors.
  4. Heh... it's funny you should post that. Somehow I had read it to be Sunday as well, and had a full day of other commitments for Saturday. When I realized what happened I ended up meeting piercedan early yesterday morning to hand off the bottled water, soft drinks and chips we were going to take to the range, since I knew there was no way I could make it out there yesterday. I think I may end up going shooting today anyway.
  5. Go back to the thread where the deal was brokered and use the Report Post button beneath the post itself to report the thread to the moderating team. Explain what happened in the report and we will attempt to contact the individual. If they fail to remedy the situation, they will be banned from TGO. Depending on how expensive the item was, you may have certain legal options available to you as well such as filing a police report with their local PD and so-forth. Hopefully it won't come to that.
  6. COOL! I hadn't seen this before.
  7. Like MacGyver, I had countless training grenades and other inert ordinance growing up. I think one of my favorites was what appeared to be a 40mm tear gas grenade for an M203 launcher. War games were a regular after-school activity for me and my friends and my trips back to Baltimore, MD where they had several BIG Army Surplus stores were always highly anticipated because of the loot I'd bring back. It's hard to believe that the late 70's - early 80's were so drastically different than the year 2011. So-called Progressive Thinking has neutered our society.
  8. We picked up some bottled water, some soft drinks and some chips tonight. Will bring that and some ice tomorrow.
  9. We've kind of gotten hooked on FX's latest guilty pleasure... American Horror Story. It's worth checking out.
  10. It could have been from someone who's account was identified as a spammer account and they were subsequently deleted from the forum. When that happens it reverts the identity of the member to "guest".
  11. Quoted for truth.
  12. Kurt Sutter has stated that he is following a Shakspearean story arc and that it will draw to a close. The question is when.
  13. I'd be remiss if I didn't point out you were one of the most vocal supporters of getting this shoot organized.
  14. Today is a momentous occasion... I agree with what DaveTN just posted.
  15. Thank you! It's been a real pisser having enough gray hair popping out that people have stopped carding me when I buy booze.
  16. I'm not sure which is worse... the picture of a drunken Curry Todd or that picture of an emaciated Leann Rimes .
  17. If folks do anything to the face/sides of triggers, most of them smooth them out. Can't imagine why stippling it seemed like a good idea.
  18. I had a chance to make some changes to the database server and see if it would help speed up page loads, but didn't have enough advance notice to give you guys some forewarning. Sorry.
  19. This season looks like it's going to be the last season. It's also become very predictable and not a whole lot of fun. The only character that interests me at this point is the DA.
  20. Stippling... ok. Fiber optic front sight... meh. Slingshot fixture... oh hell no. What that handgun needs is an intervention.
  21. I've still got some Zombie targets so I'll bring those. Just make sure if you bring your own, you keep it restricted to paper targets and clay pigeons. It would be in poor form to bring out something metal, plastic, etc. and try to shoot it up on Charlie's range.
  22. If he is guilty, and it would appear that he is by all accounts, then the punishment should be swift and severe ... just as it should be for any of the rest of us were we to be dumb enough to put ourselves in this situation.
  23. Supposedly today.
  24. It seems pretty clear that that majority of the animosity toward cyclists stems from the actions or behavior of a minority of cyclists. My theory is that busy, distracted humans driving cars are far less likely to pay attention to the safe, courteous cyclist who poses no problem or inconvenience but that we quickly notice the cyclist who interrupts our drive along the roadway. When this happens, because we didn't notice the other cyclists who weren't a problem to us but only notice the few who are, we subconsciously make the generalization that all cyclists are problematic passive-aggressive rolling chicanes. Not all of them are. I would wager that the vast majority are not. And so what if a cyclist holds up a line of traffic due to having to pedal down the middle of a lane to avoid obstacles on the shoulder or where there simply is no shoulder? That guy has every same right to be on that roadway, unmolested, the same as the motorists do. Those of us in cars just need to simmer the hell down, stop being impatient, respect the safety of that person on the bicycle, and wait for the safest opportunity to pass them. I guarantee the guy on the bicycle wishes he wasn't out in front of your car slowing you down as much as you do, if not more so. Really the whole thing seems to boil down to motorists not wanting to be inconvenienced by cyclists, and cyclists not wanting to be injured or killed by motorists. Safety of another human being should trump convenience any day. As an aside, I can't help but wonder if any law enforcement agencies have ever thought to use undercover officers on bicycles to catch and ticket unruly motorists.
  25. Dan beat me to it. Those of you new to the area should come out to the shoot this Sunday.
