  1. We have two vendors here who sell safes and likely can help you move any safe you already have. I'd try them.
  2. I tried to but they were backordered on the wheels I want. Looks like Summit may get my order.
  3. I recommend fast roping into whatever store interests you, and popping smoke once you're ready for a quick extraction.
  4. New lighter version is up, as Mike pointed out.
  5. I've done it. It also took me about 15 years after quitting retail work before I felt like shopping on a Black Friday. Time heals all wounds apparently.
  6. Totally different graphic this time; last time it was a tattered version of the flag. But yeah, the new server is doing quite well.
  7. Check with Vi-Jon in Smyrna. I strongly suggest a visit in person, and ask them either for an application or a reference for whichever temp agency they are using now. They have a massive warehouse off of Couchville Pike (Mt. Juliet area) and also a large warehouse and manufacturing facility near the airport in Smyrna. Both make heavy use of skilled towmotor drivers and both facilities run 24/7. As long as you are punctual, reliable and flexible -- meaning willing to work a lot of hours -- they will keep you very busy. My neighbor has driven a towmotor for them for years now and I worked there briefly as part of the IT department a few years ago. Not a bad company but it's not going to make you rich by a long shot. They are located at 1 Swan Drive in Smyrna. They used to use All-Pro Staffing, but I have no idea if that's still the case.
  8. Yeah, I want to fix the New Posts icon. It's a bit too subdued for my tastes as well.
  9. Yep - it's for anyone to use provided they follow the rules.
  10. Thanks; glad you like it.
  11. Quick Thanksgiving reply... First, thanks for the feedback - both the compliments and the suggestions for improvement. I actually was up til about 4am (since about 5am yesterday) taking care of an emergency at work, so I had some free time to get the new "theme" to a point where I felt it needed to be released publicly. This lets me get valuable input from you all while I continue to tweak it. I doubt very much tweaking will happen today as I'll be spending it with my friends and family. Second, as I stated previously a version with black text on a lighter background is in the works. Bear with me. It'll be at least a few days before it makes an appearance unless things just click together sooner than that. Answers about how you select the lighter version (etc) will be made clear at that point. Lastly, I am definitely making notes of the other suggestions and will incorporate as many of them as are possible. The goal, as always, is to provide a place you all WANT to hang out. Thanks again and keep the comments coming.
  12. There will be a lighter version coming but it will be a few days at least before that happens. I need to finish building it with the dark theme so that it will be easier to copy my work onto a lighter version.
  13. You know, one of the nice things about the Internet is that you can still visit us here on TGO from all the way over there in NOVA. I hope you'll continue doing so as time permits.
  14. Yep. That's the one. They have a matching top cabinet for it as well. Both of them would look GREAT in my garage.
  15. Northern Tool Black Friday Ad | 2011 NorthernTool.com Black Friday Deals Search for "Homak" within.
  16. Yep! I see what you did there.
  17. Oh wow... my plan may change. I see that Northern Tool has their big Homak 41" rolling tool chests $100 off on Friday. Do want.
  18. What'd she get?
  19. I'm almost afraid to know what pervy things you've learned from Strick. Thanks for the kind words. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving as well.
  20. Ok so... who's going to brave the crazy crowds this Friday for blow-out sales? And what are you hoping to get in the process? I'm probably going to sit this one out this year as I'm actually on call for work.
  21. Thanks for the warm wishes, Raoul. I hope you and the rest of TGO's members have a great Thanksgiving and a restful weekend.
  22. Both. Got a big group meeting here, both friends and family. Lots of mouths to stuff.
  23. I'd recommend going to Lowes, Home Depot or even a salvage store and buying some Formica counter top with backsplash and using that as your work surface. Cleans up great and the backsplash keeps small parts from rolling off the back of the table and down behind your bench where the spiders are going to take up residence. My bench is built with a double layer of 3/4" plywood as a top and then the Formica counter top is screwed down to it from beneath. I've got two six-foot sections end to end.
