  1. I've successfully avoided Blade Forums because I know what it will do to my wallet. I wish you luck.
  2. Odd... I'll check into that for you.
  3. Merry Christmas! Hope you all find yourselves surrounded by those you love this holiday. And barring that... I hope you at least find yourselves not surrounded by people you can't stand.
  4. I'm doing what I hope you all will be doing: Spending today and tomorrow with my family.
  5. Were you using Tapatalk or just Safari? More information would be quite helpful.
  6. Over 13,000 members and only a few seem to have this problem. Clearly it's not the server. I can't be of much more help than that. Sorry.
  7. Sorry to hear of your loss, Robert. For me, it was my grandfather. It would be impossible for me to count the number of times and ways that I miss him.
  8. Honestly I think that this is just a sad fact that any Arabic advertising with a plane and a building is going to be claimed to celebrate the WTC attacks by people wanting to make knee-jerk assumptions and accusations. When I look at that picture I see a city skyline with a jet airplane overhead... nothing more, nothing less.
  9. I don't remember making any community group changes. Let me check into it.

    Hello

Glad to hear from you, man. Stay safe over there.
  11. Same. Hang in there and keep the faith.
  12. I stopped paying attention to the news a while ago. It keeps my blood pressure in check.
  13. Nice. Who is making fixed rear sights for them now? Anyone? I think that wold be the first and maybe only thing I'd change out on the PPQ.
  14. I'm far more concerned about the children that people keep cranking out and don't seem to want or be able / willing / interested in taking care of than a bunch of stray cats and dogs. But it's good that there are people out there who care about the animals too.
  15. TOR is so unpredictable. Up, down, online, offline... I don't think it will be a problem getting a small Jeep community going for the Tennessee folks. None of us over there have any misconceptions about the fact that the site will remain small. JK-Forum.com, WranglerForum.com and others have the market cornered for big sites.
  16. Well as I said, the group involved hasn't really started promoting it any yet. I think it will pick up quite a bit of activity as time passes.
  17. I've been helping put together a forum for Jeep owners in Tennessee. I know I've seen some folks with Jeeps in their avatars or who have mentioned owning Jeeps in threads here, so I figured I'd throw this out there to anyone who wants to take a look. The basic idea is to give Tennessee folks a local rallying point for organized events, trail rides, get togethers, wrench parties, etc. If you're into that sort of thing, head over to Tennessee Jeeps and take a look. It's been up and running for a few days now but the group hasn't been promoting it very much yet. Some traffic would be nice. The format of the forum will look pretty familiar to you. It was easier to just re-work and re-use than come up with something entirely different.
  18. Wait... your aim is off a little. Here's a more accurate shot: That's a moron for you. If the person had some common sense and a holster for his firearm, he would still be alive and his kids would still have a daddy. When will people learn that even guns with external safeties like a 1911 or a long DA first pull like a SIG or a Glock with three different internal safeties aren't designed to be used for concealed carry without a holster?
  19. The Official 2011 "What's On Your Christmas List?" Thread Been naughty? Been nice? What do you hope Santa brings you this year? Your answers don't have to be firearms-related but it would be cool if some of them were. And who knows... maybe Santa or one of his elves is watching TGO and might get some ideas off of what you post. Am I right?
  20. My Passport 8500 works great and has warned us to check our speed on several occasions that might have otherwise ended in an obligatory contribution to the state coffers. There are good detectors out there, but as Robert said, you have to know how to use them and what their limits are. The problem I see with the idea of networked radar detectors is that anything networked can be compromised, and that just means at some point someone will start screwing with folks who rely upon these detectors. Just a matter of time and a question of who those people will be.
  21. Being a very technical person, I would wager that this has absolutely nothing to do with TGO and everything to do with the phone. Folks, I refuse to even attempt to design the site so that it works for every browser on every platform on every device. I know it works well with the current versions of MSIE, Firefox and Safari. I'm reasonably sure it works fine with Chrome. If you're having problems using another browser, you are on your own. Sorry.
  22. As others have stated, one of the most important things for me is that I meet the person someplace public and very visible. I also make sure that I do not go alone and that both I and whomever is with me are armed. I've never had a problem but I never want to either.

    Bad news

Sorry to hear it. Been there, done that, survived it. So will you.
