  1. Maybe you missed the Trademark icon next to our logo. So let me be VERY clear about this: The TGO logo and the site name are Trademarked. NO ONE may reproduce them on any stickers or clothing or any other items without my consent, and I am not giving that out. Anyone who does will not enjoy the legal consequences of doing so.
  2. It's on my list to bring back but I've got bigger fish to fry first.
  3. Bravo! Great video. Freedom of speech does not impose a cost on anyone. Defending it from people who would crush it, does. THAT is what sucks.
  4. I agree about their web site. One of our past moderators was or may still be affiliated with them. I know nothing more about them than what their web site presents, and like you said... it doesn't really give me many incentives to try them out. They could be the best kept secret for training in Tennessee, but that site needs a professional overhaul. Badly.
  5. Uh... no?
  6. I'd like to eventually make the transition the other direction... from Tennessee to the high desert. I'd love to know what prompted you to move away from such a beautiful part of the country.
  7. Glock 19 or Glock 23 depending on your preference for 9mm or .40SW The 26 / 27 give up a lot in terms of ergonomics and capacity for hardly any gain in concealability. The 17/22 give up a lot in terms of concealability for hardly any gain in ergonomics or capacity. Just my practical take on the matter.
  8. Thanks for passing this along. I've edited the title somewhat to bump up the visibility.
  9. The permit class isn't a defensive pistol class, so shooting from a ready position is adequate and possibly even the requirement. I will second CIS. Dustin does a great job and is a good dude. You're likely to learn a little more than the state minimum from him, including what parts of the course material are just wrong or outdated.
  10. *sigh* What bkelm18 said.
  11. But you've invested quite a bit of energy replying to this "big nothing" youself.
  12. You're right about that. There are some seriously misguided people when it comes to the practicality of open carry.
  13. Don't pat yourself on the back so quickly. It's only 7am on February 15th; far too soon to know if there will be any long-reaching change in policy or whether large groups of openly armed individuals even bothered showing up across the country.
  14. Somehow I missed this post but I've heard two other people comment on how good this is so I think it's going to be on my casual shopping list. If you guys haven't tried the Prichard's Double Chocolate yet, you really need to. It's quickly become my and my wife's favorite sipping bourbon after a long day. Very smooth, very mellow, and just extremely good tasting. We also picked up a bottle of 12 year old Redbreast single pot still Irish Whiskey last week and finally uncorked it on Saturday. Quite nice. I'm ashamed to say I really haven't given small-batch Irish Whiskeys a try having more or less been unimpressed with a few of the cheaper offerings in the past. Redbreast has definitely changed my opinion of that genre and I really enjoy the warm smoothness of the oven cured malt as compared to the sometimes overpowering smokiness of peat fire dried malt that comes with Scotch. If you guys get a chance to sample some Redbreast anytime soon, I highly recommend it.
  15. I approve!
  16. Wow... patience??? Between working 50+ hours last week despite taking one day off and dealing with a lot of family issues right now, I didn't see your question. I've not yet figured out a way to offer that feature on the IPB software. Sorry.
  17. If it's showing your old one, it's likely because your web browser has cached it.
  18. That was rather weird.
  19. I'm pretty sure if you pick the same package it just extends what you have currently for another 6 or 12 months. Let me know if that's not the case.
  20. No they're coming back... I'm just not done converting them yet.
  21. Guys I've been a little busy lately. No, scratch that... I've been a LOT busy lately. There's been zero movement on this from me just because it has not been a priority and likely won't be a priority for the near future. I will get more ordered, just not happening this week. I had to take a day off from my job to run 24 hrs to do the software conversion lately. THAT is how busy my schedule has been. Sorry but this just has to be put on the back burner for a while.
  22. This is such a hot button issue with me right now that my wife just leaves the room when I start losing my composure about it. Apparently our progressive society is ok with voting on the basis of race as long as it's not white people promoting it. Sorry if that strikes anyone as being politically incorrect, but it's quite obviously the truth.
  23. Couldn't tell you unless I saw the original picture you were trying to use.
  24. The "star" link that bkelm18 mentioned works perfectly. There is also a "Go to first unread post" link at the top right of each page next to the black "Reply to this topic" button. It too works perfectly. Am I just misunderstanding the questions being asked or are some of you guys just not looking very hard for the new features?
  25. For what it's worth, I do not think Starbucks has ever gone on record as stating that it is Pro Second Amendment. No where that I've searched have I been able to find any such statement from the company or any of its representatives. All I have found is the same canned response from them to the folks who have emailed praising them for not posting as carry prohibited, where Starbucks simply states that they support all local statutes and laws. This means that if it was legal for you to walk around Nashville with your penis hanging out the front of your pants, they would not prohibit you from doing that in their stores. In this case we're not talking about the right to bare your tallywhacker but rather the right to bear arms. Since Tennessee does not currently prohibit you from openly carrying your firearm, Starbucks as well is not going to restrict you from doing so. The only thing they have refused to do to so far is to post prohibited per TCA 39-17-1359. And again, I think that it is reasonable to expect that Starbucks might cave and post per TCA 39-17-1359 if enough of the sheep are frightened and complain. Their "out" would be that they are again simply supporting local laws and statutes, in particular the one that lets them tell legally armed citizens that they are unwelcome on their premises. Just something to ponder.
