  1. So I'm trying to figure out how we got away from the original purpose of this thread and into a discussion of where the term "slave" came from, or even slavery for that matter...
  2. Quite a jump there.
  3. Got historical references for any of that? I hate having to go look up things people say to verify accuracy.
  4. Got mine from Two Rivers Ford. I've known those guys for years so the deal I got likely won't be what you get. My recommendation is that you just negotiate as best as possible. The more cash you have toward the vehicle, the more bargaining power you will have.
  5. I'm trying to figure out why you sent me a PM asking for permission to do this and then an hour later just went ahead and did it without a reply from me.
  6. I believe you are mistaken or you're not reading what has been posted about this on numerous occasions now. I see zero Trader Feedback entries for your account post-software switch. If you had three previously, they were likely on the old software and will eventually be imported into the new software.
  7. It's gone as far as I know.
  8. That's the kind of question I'd want to get an in-writing opinion on from the BATFE. Like you I'd think it would not qualify as a forward grip, however my opinion won't keep you out of hot water either.
  9. This. You confront my wife, even not pregnant, and start yelling at her like this in a store you're going to be sucking floor tiles. You pull a gun after that, you're going to be leaving on a gurney. The deputy started it, escalated it and the husband was defending his wife. #### that guy and #### his whole department if they don't can him.
  10. This thread is so full of win I almost feel like I should pay to read it. I knew it was going to be epic when I saw the thread title and, most importantly, the time of day when it was posted.
  11. I replied to this in the other thread.
  12. Copy and paste should work.
  13. Bob Pitts Senior Policy Advisor bpitts@abctennessee.com Feel free to email him your thoughts on this. www.abctennessee.com is the organization's site. You can find other leadership emails there as well.
  14. I think it some important information was omitted. Namely, who sent that email?
  15. Just wait... it'll get even better once I get the "IP Content" feature online and can start featuring articles and such.
  16. Literally something changed it back to offline. How about now?
  17. Hah... I'm a fool. I left the Blog feature turned off after I converted them. Fixed!!!
  18. Eh?? Even this one... ?
  19. ...You probably should start. I see myself using them more and more lately, especially to talk about stuff that I'm working on for TGO.
  20. Hear hear.
  21. Opinion noted, however... that's not the route we'll be taking. For the life of me, I don't understand why this is so hard for folks to wrap their heads around. 1.) It's not entirely about the money, but most important it is about protecting intellectual property and controlling the "image" of the TGO brand. 2.) TGO is a sideline business for me. It doesn't generate a ton of revenue and isn't going to support me or my family anytime soon, but my time and effort is worth something. If you disagree and think I should take days off from my regular job to upgrade forum software, and should take time away from my family to work on forum projects in the evenings and weekends, and do all of that for free... then there's some sort of fundamental breakdown in your logic that I really can't understand nor help you with. Sorry, but this absolutely is not up for discussion. Anyway... apologies to the original poster of this thread. Hopefully they can get their business off the ground and enjoy some financial freedom as a result of it. Maybe some of this sideline discussion will have tangible benefit for them when it comes time to protect their assets.
  22. When it comes to things such as this, yes. I think it's easily understandable.
  23. Honestly I can't believe this subject comes up so much. Granted, I'd like some more TGO swag as much as anyone... and I hope to have more produced as soon as I have some free time to devote to that... but right now just is not the time for me for a variety of reasons. Yet that does not mean anyone who pleases may rush out and embroider or print or otherwise reproduce the site logo on whatever they want. I want everyone to feel at home here, but that doesn't mean folks are at liberty to steal the furniture just because they like the way it looks.
  24. Lately there have been a rash of threads where members have discussed the desire to have more TGO logo'd merchandise produced. I would like to remind everyone of the VERY important fact that our logo is my trademarked property and belongs solely to this web site. No one may reproduce it in ANY form without my consent and without license being granted to them. Further, NO ONE is licensed to use the TGO logo except for me. That is the way it will stay. Anyone who attempts to do so and offer stickers, hats, shirts or other merchandise or memorabilia will be pursued and penalized to the fullest extent of the law. This may sound harsh, but here's the deal: The TGO brand is a commodity like any other. I have worked tirelessly to grow it into what it is today. It stands to reason that I will protect the image of this site and the use of our logo through any and all legal means necessary. I appreciate your cooperation on this matter and sincerely hope that TGO's members will help me in protecting our brand by reporting anyone whom they see producing any TGO related merchandise. Thank you.
