  1. Hah... I'm a fool. I left the Blog feature turned off after I converted them. Fixed!!!
  2. Eh?? Even this one... ?
  3. ...You probably should start. I see myself using them more and more lately, especially to talk about stuff that I'm working on for TGO.
  4. Hear hear.
  5. Opinion noted, however... that's not the route we'll be taking. For the life of me, I don't understand why this is so hard for folks to wrap their heads around. 1.) It's not entirely about the money, but most important it is about protecting intellectual property and controlling the "image" of the TGO brand. 2.) TGO is a sideline business for me. It doesn't generate a ton of revenue and isn't going to support me or my family anytime soon, but my time and effort is worth something. If you disagree and think I should take days off from my regular job to upgrade forum software, and should take time away from my family to work on forum projects in the evenings and weekends, and do all of that for free... then there's some sort of fundamental breakdown in your logic that I really can't understand nor help you with. Sorry, but this absolutely is not up for discussion. Anyway... apologies to the original poster of this thread. Hopefully they can get their business off the ground and enjoy some financial freedom as a result of it. Maybe some of this sideline discussion will have tangible benefit for them when it comes time to protect their assets.
  6. When it comes to things such as this, yes. I think it's easily understandable.
  7. Honestly I can't believe this subject comes up so much. Granted, I'd like some more TGO swag as much as anyone... and I hope to have more produced as soon as I have some free time to devote to that... but right now just is not the time for me for a variety of reasons. Yet that does not mean anyone who pleases may rush out and embroider or print or otherwise reproduce the site logo on whatever they want. I want everyone to feel at home here, but that doesn't mean folks are at liberty to steal the furniture just because they like the way it looks.
  8. Lately there have been a rash of threads where members have discussed the desire to have more TGO logo'd merchandise produced. I would like to remind everyone of the VERY important fact that our logo is my trademarked property and belongs solely to this web site. No one may reproduce it in ANY form without my consent and without license being granted to them. Further, NO ONE is licensed to use the TGO logo except for me. That is the way it will stay. Anyone who attempts to do so and offer stickers, hats, shirts or other merchandise or memorabilia will be pursued and penalized to the fullest extent of the law. This may sound harsh, but here's the deal: The TGO brand is a commodity like any other. I have worked tirelessly to grow it into what it is today. It stands to reason that I will protect the image of this site and the use of our logo through any and all legal means necessary. I appreciate your cooperation on this matter and sincerely hope that TGO's members will help me in protecting our brand by reporting anyone whom they see producing any TGO related merchandise. Thank you.
  9. Maybe you missed the Trademark icon next to our logo. So let me be VERY clear about this: The TGO logo and the site name are Trademarked. NO ONE may reproduce them on any stickers or clothing or any other items without my consent, and I am not giving that out. Anyone who does will not enjoy the legal consequences of doing so.
  10. It's on my list to bring back but I've got bigger fish to fry first.
  11. Bravo! Great video. Freedom of speech does not impose a cost on anyone. Defending it from people who would crush it, does. THAT is what sucks.
  12. I agree about their web site. One of our past moderators was or may still be affiliated with them. I know nothing more about them than what their web site presents, and like you said... it doesn't really give me many incentives to try them out. They could be the best kept secret for training in Tennessee, but that site needs a professional overhaul. Badly.
  13. Uh... no?
  14. I'd like to eventually make the transition the other direction... from Tennessee to the high desert. I'd love to know what prompted you to move away from such a beautiful part of the country.
  15. Glock 19 or Glock 23 depending on your preference for 9mm or .40SW The 26 / 27 give up a lot in terms of ergonomics and capacity for hardly any gain in concealability. The 17/22 give up a lot in terms of concealability for hardly any gain in ergonomics or capacity. Just my practical take on the matter.
  16. Thanks for passing this along. I've edited the title somewhat to bump up the visibility.
  17. The permit class isn't a defensive pistol class, so shooting from a ready position is adequate and possibly even the requirement. I will second CIS. Dustin does a great job and is a good dude. You're likely to learn a little more than the state minimum from him, including what parts of the course material are just wrong or outdated.
  18. *sigh* What bkelm18 said.
  19. But you've invested quite a bit of energy replying to this "big nothing" youself.
  20. You're right about that. There are some seriously misguided people when it comes to the practicality of open carry.
  21. Don't pat yourself on the back so quickly. It's only 7am on February 15th; far too soon to know if there will be any long-reaching change in policy or whether large groups of openly armed individuals even bothered showing up across the country.
  22. Somehow I missed this post but I've heard two other people comment on how good this is so I think it's going to be on my casual shopping list. If you guys haven't tried the Prichard's Double Chocolate yet, you really need to. It's quickly become my and my wife's favorite sipping bourbon after a long day. Very smooth, very mellow, and just extremely good tasting. We also picked up a bottle of 12 year old Redbreast single pot still Irish Whiskey last week and finally uncorked it on Saturday. Quite nice. I'm ashamed to say I really haven't given small-batch Irish Whiskeys a try having more or less been unimpressed with a few of the cheaper offerings in the past. Redbreast has definitely changed my opinion of that genre and I really enjoy the warm smoothness of the oven cured malt as compared to the sometimes overpowering smokiness of peat fire dried malt that comes with Scotch. If you guys get a chance to sample some Redbreast anytime soon, I highly recommend it.
  23. I approve!
  24. Wow... patience??? Between working 50+ hours last week despite taking one day off and dealing with a lot of family issues right now, I didn't see your question. I've not yet figured out a way to offer that feature on the IPB software. Sorry.
