  1. Well, my Macro grip module and a few 17rd mags are due to arrive this week. I'll just throw them on my Spectre Comp's guts and slide and have the best of both worlds: Gaudy gold TiN trigger and barrel and capacity. lol
  2. I had a pretty great one that I think @MacGyver owns now. It was a handful when you were squeezing off full house .357 Magnum rounds. Definitely one of those things that everyone ought to try at least once!
  3. I think I've shared it before, but this was my grandfather's duty gun when he was a police officer back in the 60's. Smith & Wesson Model 19. He left it to my dad and I inherited it when my dad passed away. This is one of those guns that my kids will inherit one day, and hopefully their kids as well.
  4. Yeah it's pretty hard to beat the SP101 and GP100. They're insanely popular for good reason.
  5. Just change the Prefix to "AD CLOSED" .
  6. I'll check on getting these made again.
  7. Summary Upgrade of forum software for October 2022. Explanation IPS Community Suite 4.7.3 Released 10/11/2022 This is our October maintenance release. 8. Nice!!
  9. Well... I recently bought another MR920 so I am back in the Shadow Systems game.
  10. Not a bad idea but I also can't tell you how many times over the years that I've seen prospective buyers of high-end pistols get worked up over the silliest of things like seeing a loaded chamber flag stuck into the breach of a Ted Yost, Ed Brown, Les Baer, etc. 1911. It's almost like the thought of anyone other than them, or the gunsmith who hand-crafted it, racking the slide somehow devalues the gun by $3,000. I doubt many people would care if someone crammed a chamber flag down the barrel of a Glock 19, though.
  11. I'm not surprised by this conclusion and rather expected it. Not because of you but because of the relationship that TGO has with Royal Range. Damned if I do, damned if I don't... so I just do. The fact remains that I'm allowed to have a personal opinion based on personal experiences. It's also probably worth pointing out that my opinion IS based on personal experiences rather than what I read on the Internet, newspaper, or heard on a news broadcast from a third party. Some folks would say that it makes my opinion a qualified opinion. The fact also remains that a negligent discharge occurred and that two people were wounded. That's not excusable, everyone was terribly lucky, and I would expect that changes in procedures will result because the folks that I've met at that range are squared away and won't ignore the fact that this happened or that there were check-points that failed to catch the loaded gun before it was handed to a customer. This is a good reminder to all of us that these tools, just like any tool, are dangerous and that skipping safety steps can and will result in injury or death. I'm just not out to crucify someone because of how the media chose to quote them.
  12. I got a chance to handle one of them today and... WOW. I'll be ordering the grip module and some mags soon to run on my Spectre XL.
  13. Look, I am going to give these folks the benefit of the doubt because I've been a customer and I got to spend about two hours with Bob Allen talking about a variety of topics for a podcast in the past and found him to be incredibly knowledgeable, professional and squared away. He's not some Paul Blart Mall Cop type. The media isn't exactly known for quoting things accurately OR in context, nor are they known for being favorable toward gun ownership issues. So bear those things in mind before we start piling onto the bandwagon.
  14. I am convinced that Ford has made a deal with the devil when it comes to legroom in the rear seating positions. They manage to squeeze out far more knee room and head room back there than any other manufacturer. My 2011 Raptor was like the damned Tardis inside. Passengers couldn't believe how much room they had in the back seat. I miss that truck.
  15. I'm going to piss off a lot of pitbull fans but... clearly the breed of peace. These stories are infuriating. That breed is quirky, prone to aggression, and very muscular. When one of them flips its ####, you're in for a fight even as an adult. Toddlers and infants? Hopeless. I wouldn't be sad to see that breed of dog become extinct.
  16. I had the 6.2L and it was a POS. Less than 100 miles and 1-day of ownership, the power steering pump failed. Of course there was a national backorder and they estimated 6-8 weeks for a part. I raised incredible hell in the middle of their showroom and they magically found a steering pump for me. Probably robbed it off of another truck. Two weeks later the rear window began leaking. The "fix" for that was to silicone the hell out of it. It kept leaking. They finally replaced the whole window. Then, as the weather got colder the rear window shattered. They replaced it again and of course it started leaking almost immediately. It took them THREE rear windows to get it sealed properly. Then we had to fight them over the headliner being water damaged. Yet another repair. And then the lifters started to fail. Another 6-8 weeks of waiting on parts and they would only replace the lifters on the bank that was having problems despite the fact that everyone knew the other bank would go soon. And it did. I traded the truck at that point.
  17. My Trail Boss was the worst decision I ever made. The turbo-diesel version may be slightly better but I'd rather let you kick me in the crotch than me ever take another chance on one of those.
  18. Bumping this back to the top. I've been super busy lately and haven't been trying very hard to sell this. BUT... I'd really like to see someone putting it to good use.
  19. You can assume that almost every hospital is going to be posted. Centennial is. I have never seen metal detectors there, but I have not gone through every entrance.
  20. January 6, 2021 is a great example of aligning oneself with groups of people that you might later regret aligning yourself with. There are a lot of people whose lives were ruined because they got caught up in the hype and excitement only to realize later that the government really does draw a line between free speech and seditious behavior. Again, it's easy to question people's patriotism on a forum and accuse them of disappointing the founding fathers, but George Washington isn't going to sit in prison with you if you get it wrong.
  21. Buddy, the smart people doing what you're wanting to do aren't talking about it on the Internet. You can insult people all you want if that makes you feel brave or more patriotic, but it also paints you as the kind of person -- too loud, no discretion -- that smart people aren't going to want to pull into their inner circle of prepared individuals. Your "tribe" ought to start with people you already know and have known for years. But do them a favor and learn how to fly under the radar.
  22. I looked at that guy's website and the gallery of work he's already done. You sure that's the route you want to go? As has already been shown in another thread, it's hard to go back to good from ... not so good.
  23. It can be done but it's generally cost prohibitive. For the Glock, you're probably better off finding someone selling just the frame and buying a new one. Rocket City Stippling has some Glock frames for sale right now, actually. Bear in mind that of course that will involve an FFL and a transfer fee since Glock frames bear the serial number for the firearm.
  24. I never really thought of myself as a "Sig guy" but... here I am. Most days it's my P320X series (3.9" barrel) with Wilson Combat compact grip, Holosun 509T optic and Streamlight TLR-7A WML. Some days it's a P365XL Spectre Comp, some days it's a Glock 19, some days it's my Staccato C2. But most days it's that P320X.
