Is A Race War Being Censored To Avoid White Backlash?
TGO David replied to QuietDan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think the idea that all of the ones who are itching for conflict are slothful, stupid or don't have the necessary aptitudes for being productive and self-reliant is painting them all with a pretty wide brush. I think that for some of them, they've been taught from birth to lash out at non-black races for "keeping them down" and to take whatever they want by force. You see it in crowds when you get a shoulder from one of them rather than them politely step to the side as you do to let each other pass. I'm also the guy that throws my weight into that shoulder and checks them hard when they do it. It may be a dangerous game to play, but it's all about mutual respect. Most of them time I get some mouthing in return, but they also know that they just found out where the line was with one guy and they tend to respect it, even if they mouth off a little in return. I did 12 years in a public school system where there the student body was easily 60% black and 10% of them came from rough neighborhoods and brought that crap to school. I've seen this behavior my entire life. I learned early that if you stand your ground, you get messed with less. It was all about seeing if you were "hard" or soft. The soft kids had victim mentalities and got picked on a lot. -

I'd guess the people who penned this one have enough money; what they want now is uncompromising surrender.

A person would be blind not to see what's going on. You can mistreat a caged dog for only so long before it finally snaps and bites the hand that hurts it. Sooner or later, somewhere, a group of people are going to finally have had enough and pay back the abuse they've received in spades. History is rife with such uprisings. Some people only understand violence. This is why I've taught my own children to never allow themselves to be picked on, but to choose their battles wisely and make it count when they finally decide that it's time to start swinging because there will definitely be consequences to sort out once the dust settles. I figure sooner than later we'll see racial tensions peak in this country once again. Currently it would seem that there is a very violent, perhaps minority, component of black society that is damn near demanding a confrontation. It's a shame, really. Martin Luther King would likely be appalled. Malcom X, not so much. -
I'm going to surprise you and say the Focus ST. You guys already own two thirsty vehicles, same as us. If there's one thing I'd add to our stable at the moment it would be a smaller car with better MPG for times when we just need to get from point-A to point-B and would like to save a little on fuel.

Giving credit where credit is due is always a good policy. Hopefully they'll make that the norm instead of the exception.

Was it an ad for 1911 mag(s) ? I saw one from you earlier but it looks like it's pending some sort of edit.

I had originally intended the buttons to be used as a metric of how useful a post was, sort of like the Facebook "Like" feature. It really doesn't need to turn into a popularity thing and I'd hate to have to remove it if it becomes that and people are upset by it.

Prayed like you have never prayed before
TGO David replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
A few years ago I lost my daughter. I struggled to understand how such a thing was fair or how it could possibly make sense, even to an omnipotent, omniscient God. Some time later it dawned on me while watching some of the trials that another family was going through with one of their teenagers who was greatly in trouble with the law, that our job as parents is to do whatever it takes to set our children on the right path so that when they finally stand before their creator they can do so expecting eternal reward and not condemnation. Sometimes... just sometimes... I think God sees a child that deserves that reward now and takes them ahead of our time. Sure, it's a hard pill to swallow and the rational human side of us wants to be angry. But deep down inside, I think many of us are also jealous of what she has become and where she is now. She got moved to the front of the line, and for that we should be happy. The rest of us are left here to trudge along and hopefully someday join her. -

Opinions on Rocky Williams Chrysler dealership?
TGO David replied to walton6467's topic in General Chat
I tried to buy a Jeep from them. They jerked me around. I ended up buying from Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Franklin and they weren't much better. I've heard mixed reviews about Bob Frensley so I didn't bother looking there either. The only Dodge dealership I've dealt with yet that I haven't left with a bad taste over is Beaman in Murfreesboro, and I've only used them for parts. -
From Visa's own web site... http://usa.visa.com/merchants/operations/checkoutfees.html Retailers Can Offer a Discount for Cash and Check Purchases Retailers can encourage their customers to use other forms of payment, such as cash and checks, and can discount for PIN debit and cash and checks provided that the offer is made to all respective buyers. So that seems to be the loophole. It's all the same math, just in how you choose to spin it.

Walk a mile in a retailer's shoes and a lot of comments made in this thread might be different. The consumer needs to consider that the retailer pays a fee for each credit card swipe processed and can do this one of three ways: 1. Charge the 3% as a "convenience fee" for accepting the credit card and give cash/check purchases a discount. ie "You save me some money, I'll save you some money." 2. Build the 3% additional markup into their retail prices and proudly tout that there is no extra fee for using credit cards. ie "What you don't know you're paying won't hurt you." 3. Not charge the 3% fee, not build it into their prices and lose 3% off of the profit margin of each sale. ie "I'm not in business to make money; I just like surrounding myself with pushy, hard to satisfy people all day long because it's fun."

Whether or not a gun shop takes a firearm back and issues a refund is totally at their discretion. It's On Target's prerogative to decline refunds on firearms, which is a practice that a lot of gun shops follow. Whether or not it is "good customer service" is fairly irrelevant, especially if the customer knows that this is their policy before the buy the firearm. I'd be curious if they have any signage or text on their receipts to the effect that all firearms sales are final. But we can be certain that Arsenal is not following their own claim of providing a 1-year warranty from the date of sale. One would assume that the burden of proving that the rifle had been sold over a year ago would be on them, not on the buyer. The buyer has no way of knowing and has to trust what the retailer told them. If I were On Target, I'd be pissed at Arsenal for insinuating that the firearm was used, sold as new, and making sure that they took care of my customer.

Poll Here: http://www.tngunowne...-do-we-keep-it/ And I'm closing this thread. While I appreciate the feedback, there are seriously times when I wonder why I bother with the headaches. Especially with comments to the effect that the Benefactor program is losing it's value. The Benefactor program keeps TGO online for you to enjoy. If it stops being effective, then this site goes away. The Classifieds are a perk, not the reason why you should support TGO. Support it because you appreciate it being available.
-
Tell you what... let's open it for a vote. I'll let the poll run for the next 30 days. If enough people say they miss the old way, we'll go back and the money and time and effort spent on the new classifieds will just be a loss.
-
How is it you feel that the new system is hurting Benefactors from being able to sell? It keeps a lot of of the BS out of the threads. It has absolutely ELIMINATED (since you like bold letters) all of the thread crapping from people who want to jump into a For Sale thread and post about how the item is overpriced, or not exactly what they want, or if it was $100 cheaper they'd buy it, etc. I see that as a major plus. Unless you were into that sort of thing, it appears that it's much, much better to me.

He posted that he had. It's back a page or two if you want to read it.

Testicular cancer is not anything to play around with. Get a second opinion from a urologist and ask them to consult with an oncologist. It's better to be safe than sorry. -
Guys, this really amounts to nothing more than free advertising for a shop that is not yet a Vendor and who has been asked to step up and support the site. I'm closing this thread and we're going to start deleting future such threads. As a consumer this new shop excites me. As the owner of this forum, free advertising irritates me and it's just not fair to the Vendors who do support the site. I hope you all understand where I'm coming from.

I can't believe it, She won 200,000 of our taxes
TGO David replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Locusts. But I digress. The people who really deserve our anger are the attorneys and judges who project the privileges of citizenship on these criminals who come here and live illegally. I'm convinced that there are absolutely members of the legal profession who hate our country and who won't miss an opportunity to screw it over by twisting and perverting the legal system as a form of sadistic activism. -

Man, some of you guys are really on the ball with the jokes in this thread. Gordon, best of luck to you and the plums. -
It happens. We're not going back to the "old way" anytime soon. We'll stay the course and work out the kinks.
