  1. You might want to check the rules and cut out the inappropriate pictures before you're removed from the site. Thanks.
  2. Fathers-birthday-mas gift was a 36" H2Pro tool center I'd been wanting for the garage.
  3. There's a former Ford dealership mechanic who has started his own shop and has stayed very busy the past few years over between Smyrna and Murfreesboro. I've only heard good things about him. TFG Automotive on Old Nashville Hwy. http://tfgauto.com/
  4. So apparently there's a problem with continuity of settings. I'll dig into it and see what I can figure out.
  5. I think the reason Dolomite can see it is because as a Subject Matter Expert his account has certain privileges. I've been wanting to overhaul the Benefactor logo so that you guys get a little more recognition, and if I do that I will make it so that the member title is something you can play around with.
  6. Cool but too small for my needs. I carry too much crap, out of necessity unfortunately. John needs to make a bad-ass backpack for the weekend weenies who like tacticool toys. Tactical outside, business inside.
  7. Not to be a jerk, but it was fine for this thread to run 10 pages when you were trashing On Target and Arsenal...
  8. I'd find a new place to work. Their policy is what it is, and honestly doesn't impact their customers. It conceivably protects them. MANY companies do credit checks as part of their preliminary or promotion screening, so you need to get that squared away as best you can.
  9. Responded to your PM as well. It's been in the rotation for a few days now.
  10. Very cool. Add it to the calendar?
  11. There's a guy who is disabled and has taken quite a few Magpul Dynamics classes and has kicked massive ass each time. I want to say he's a wounded Marine. Total badass. Totally revoked any excuse I could ever have for not taking training. I can't... it's cold outside. I can't... my feet hurt. I can't... I have a headache. I can't... I need to lose weight first. Yep. All of those = total bull#### in the face of what this dude overcomes every time he gets out on the range and has the RO's lay his chair on it's side so he can practice shooting from a supine position right along with his classmates. Did I mention badass? Look the word up in the dictionary and you'll see this guy's photo, him laying on his side in the dirt, in his chair, busting caps, putting rounds on target down range. He's the first thing I thought of when I saw the pictures. I bet he'd think this is cool as crap.
  12. So my Voodoo Tactical Improved Matrix backpack arrived tonight and I am in tactical dork-kid heaven. Not one, but two padded compartments suitable for laptops. Numerous pockets for stuff. An "office organizer" for pens and the like inside. Cavernous main compartment for easy stowage of gym clothes or whatever. Yoke-style carry handle between the shoulder straps. Padded shoulder straps and a chest strap. Removable padded cummerbund for carrying heavier weights for longer periods of time. To sum it up... Laptop Backpack Bliss. Love it, love it, love it.
  13. I admire the attention to detail, but these aren't precision rifles and that's overkill. There are villages in Afghanistan where 8yr-old kids assemble these damn things.
  14. They should have at the very least had him thrown out of the show.
  15. No. What is listed is the only way.
  16. As much as I detest the landlord's attitude toward the military, I agree with this statement.
  17. So sad... CaneBreaker thinks we won't spot him with he signs up. Banned.
  18. I've been paying attention to people since about 1972. People are that stupid.
  19. No need to delete it. The thread being here may help someone else.
  20. As I stated in the announcement, that feature is coming. It's not ready yet.
  21. The "Enhanced Classifieds" software kept its posts outside of the forum post database and in a format that could not be translated over. I'd asked the author of the software if he could provide a conversion utility for us and he ignored the request entirely or just didn't see it. I'm going with the former as it's not very likely that he was going to provide a mechanism for his customers to abandon his product. I guess I can't blame him, on one hand, but it was disappointing to me on the other.
  22. This is one of the reasons why I don't and won't sell TGO logo merchandise direct anymore. I may farm it out at some point but people bitch so much about the cost of shipping that it became more trouble than it was worth. $5.00-ish to ship an item in a USPS flat rate small box. They'd complain if I charged more to ship a hat, but a hat needed to be put in a medium box in order to keep it from being crumpled to pieces. Well do you want me to fold that hat up and shove it into a small box? Really? And "handling" charges are sometimes a fuel surcharge. I never charged for handling but should have; I was having to stuff envelopes, print labels and drive crap over to the post office several times a week. That was time I could have spent with my family, and fuel out of my car to get it there. Just giving you an idea of what it's like on the other side of this argument. As consumers we tend to have an attitude of entitlement when it comes to demanding lowest cost or free shipping. I'm just as guilty. I always try to order from vendors who don't charge shipping for orders over a certain dollar amount, but I figure at that point they've done the math and know whether they are still making a profit or not.
  23. Tripping on LSD while on maneuvers in the Army... not really something I'd have included in a eulogy intended to evoke respect? Interesting. Sad, none the less. Andy should strike that other part. For me it's a turn-off. For others I suspect it might be as well, and it casts a negative light on what I'm sure was meant to be a positive commentary on a man's life.
  24. TGO Trading Post ... The Return! Back by popular demand are the TGO Trading Post Forums, our Classifieds ads section. GONE is the enhanced Classifieds software that caused a schism among the members between those who liked it, those who tolerated it, and those who utterly hated it. A lesson was learned along the way: Don't screw with the formula! So what does this mean? Here are the bullet points: The enhanced Classifieds software is gone. Any ads posted within it need to be re-created by their authors using the TGO Trading Post forums. Sorry, I realize that's a pain in the butt, however it is a necessary evil that we will get past. The Trading Post forums are now back online and available to view via Tapatalk. I know this was a big deal to a lot of folks and I'm glad we can accommodate you once again. There are also some changes that you need to be aware of. Those changes are... The Trading Post forums are now set so that only TGO Benefactor members can post publicly within them. This means new threads or replies to threads. If you want to post publicly in the Trading Post, become a Benefactor. It's not expensive and it helps me offset the cost of running and maintaining a forum the size of TGO and keeps the rest of the forum free to be used by anyone and everyone. The Trading Post forums now allow Benefactor members to upload attachments (!!!) directly to their posts. This means you can upload a photo straight to your advertisement. Right now I'm limiting every Benefactor member to 5MB worth of total attachments on the site so be sure to size your photos conservatively. This means don't upload a full high-resolution 30000000 pixel photo from your super-duper camera phone. Shrink that sucker first then upload it. If you don't, you'll run out of space quickly. As always you can still upload your photos to Photobucket or other such site and then link to them in your posts. That doesn't deduct from your 5MB limit. TGO Benefactor members will soon have the ability to moderate their own threads (!!!) in the Trading Post. Open, close, edit, delete... you get the idea. I am waiting on a software update that will let this happen. As soon as that software is released, I'll be adding it to the forum so that you guys can take care of your own Trading Post threads. MORE POWER!!! It almost makes you giddy, doesn't it? Did I mention that only Benefactors may post public replies to Trading Post threads? Yeah, I mentioned that... but it's worth repeating because I know someone is going to ask "Why can't I post in a Trading Post thread blah blah blah?" and I'm going to point them right back here to this announcement. So pay attention! Only Benefactors may post public replies from this point forward. Sorry but that's just the way it is going to be. We've had too many people try to screw the system and cheat their fellow members by sneaking items in for sale or trade within an existing ad paid for by a TGO Benefactor. That's simply stealing and I'm tired of it. So are the Benefactors and I don't blame them one bit. They support the site, so should you. If you're not a Benefactor and you want to contact a seller about an item, contact them privately. So that's where we are as of this morning, June 5th, 2012. If you have any questions or concerns let me know via the Feedback and Support forum. Thanks! --David
