I had two 2010 models at the same time. Don't ask. They were neat vehicles but poorly executed. The 4.0 VVT really doesn't have the power needed for the vehicle's weight or aerodynamics.

All of those are pretty easy fixes. Just Empty Every Pocket comes into play when you start modifying the hell out of them, a la the Wrangler.

Head west and hit the Alpine Loop. Visit Ouray. You won't be disappointed.

This thread was going pretty good until you resorted to a personal attack. Let's not do that.

I've had some good encounters talking guns with cops.

I've always liked the SIG 1911's but just never could really embrace the external extractor despite the fact that it works. Probably a big mistake on my part.

Some of that could just easily be small talk while the cop is waiting on dispatch to come back with the check on your DL, outstanding warrants, etc. Not sure why folks get their shorts in a knot about a cop asking them where they're heading or where they've been. It's also a way for them to gauge if you're up to some ####, based on body language, so just relax and have a conversation. Unless the guy starts asking you things that infringe upon your Miranda rights, don't be a dick and they likely won't be either.

TVs are one of the first items stolen during most home robberies. I'm not so sure I'd want to hide my guns there just because the ransacking might make their presence apparent to the thieves.

As someone who has buried TWO children, I will say that I never have taken that to mean I had a blank check to be a complete douche. Further, what happened 7 weeks ago would seem to have very little bearing on the business for the past 7 years. My condolences to the family on the loss of their daughter and sister, but trying to inject that into the overall business situation is seems like an attempt to buy credit with the local gun owners by tugging at their heart strings, and assumes that we're all just stupid and bad at math. Summary: Sorry about your loss, not sorry to see the business go under.

What happened seven weeks ago really doesn't have much bearing on the business practices I've heard about for the many years prior. I'm sorry about the family's loss and say that as someone who has buried two children myself, but I never for once thought having lost my children gave me a blank check to be a douche. Glad to see the business gone. Hope a better gun shop gets the property!

I will say this, it's not the fault of the SD Deputies that their uniform has brown shirts, nor that they were sent out on this particular call in their jurisdiction. Could have easily been the Brentwood TN PD that had to serve that warrant. While the historical reference is somewhat "amusing" and makes for great sensationalism, it's a bit overboard.
