  1. Sam, I'm adding your account to your dad's Vendor package here on TGO as you're helping him with his business. That way if he needs you to post something biz related, no one will hassle you about it.
  2. I've got a couple things cooking. I'm also looking at having a professional designer create a whole new look for TGO's site. Everything to date has been my doing, but I'm no pro and it could use a little sprucing up.
  3. From the Trading Post FAQ forum....
  4. Sneaking in some new things as I have time to work on them. More to come.

    VEPR!!!!

    I need one of those.
  6. Hey Sam. Welcome to TGO!
  7. Now THAT is some funny stuff.
  8. We actually had this a year or two back under the old software but it's taken me some time to dig into the new software's underpinnings to find ways to reproduce it. Those three little icons were an Ah Ha! moment of mine yesterday.
  9. Correct. = Carry Permit = Law enforcement = Military
  10. Love our F150. Great trucks.
  11. Nothing sexier on a 1911 than wear. And 1911s are damn sexy all their own.
  12. My Wilson Combat Professional Bobtail (Commander size) is by far my favorite which is why I still have it. The one I sold that I wish I hadn't is my Kimber Warrior that I had Jeff Meister @ Hero Gear work over for me. MacGyver owns it now and if he's not careful I'll steal it away from him again some day. I'm thinking about building a new one off of a Springfield soon. Probably start with the Marine Corps Operator and go from there.
  13. Let's leave the off-topic commentary out of this thread. If there are any questions about TGO policies or enforcement of them, contact a moderator privately. Thanks.
  14. I carry either a full-size Smith and Wesson M&P or my Glock 19, both of which are essentially full sized pistols. I've carried 5-inch 1911s and likewise had no problems. The only handguns I've carried and didn't care for or found uncomfortable were my SIG 229, 228 and 220. I'd just as soon have tried carrying a framing hammer. Just too heavy, even with a good belt.
  15. I had some of Larry's Warthog grips on one of my Springfield or Kimber 1911s in the past. VERY grippy. I actually ended up taking very fine aluminum-oxide sanding paper to them and knocking them down a little because I found them too rough for concealed carry. They were literally tearing up my undershirts.
  16. I'm playing around with the feature that added the HCP icon. I'm going to do more with it, I just need to get my head wrapped around the logic they're using to build some of the IPB templates. As for the real name field, I will see what I can do there.
  17. vBulletin actually has a new version coming out soon that looks pretty slick and might resolve a lot of the problems I had with the vB4 family. Not saying we're going to switch, but I am saying I am watching their new software pretty closely.
  18. I'm still checking to see if this is something the app author can incorporate. Seems odd that it's missing.
  19. It does not appear that Tapatalk supports this for Invision Power Board software. The other forums you speak of probably run a different software such as vBulletin, for example.
  20. If this is a feature I can enable somehow within Tapatalk, I will. However Tapatalk is a 3rd party application and not one that I can truly provide any actual support for. It's not even technically "installed" on the forum; it's just a set of files that I copy into a special folder and the rest is taken care of by their service.
  21. At first I thought the photo of the cat inside the gutter was a cat in the breach of a large gun. Maybe it's a Freudian thing.
  22. This isn't a mob decision nor is TGO governed by mob rule. If you want to set up a blog where ArmyVet can post all of the videos he thinks are awesome, feel free.
  23. I'm sorry to hear this. I've walked through the valley of the shadow of death so many times in the past 40 years that I can say with certainty that the one common thread among all of those things for Christians is the assurance that death is not a period, but merely a comma. I hope that you find peace and dare I say even happiness thinking about all of the things John is writing about life on the other side of that comma, right now.
  24. I'm still amazed that this far post-9/11 we still have idiots forgetting about firearms in their bags, be it carry on or checked. Jesus, people... this isn't rocket science.
  25. You can never have enough rifles when the Zombies hit the fan.
