  1. I've tried it but wasn't very impressed. I'm so used to single barrel whiskeys that it's hard for me to enjoy blends now.
  2. Oh wow. Daniel, first and foremost I'm glad you and everyone inside was able to escape unharmed. That's the most important thing right there. The fact that you were able to rescue so much of the inventory is just icing on the cake. Prayers for you guys as you work through the following weeks and months ahead to recover and hopefully rebuild better than ever.
  3. If you are concerned about the accuracy of the gun and have had others confirm it by firing it as well, call S&W and have them send a prepaid mailer to you to that you can return it to them for service. Their customer service department is second to none.
  4. I'll just be glad when the election is over so that folks on TGO will stop arguing about whether you should vote GOP or Independent.
  5. No, which of course makes it clear that they shouldn't have moved to metered plans if they didn't have their metering technology figured out. Idiots. I installed an app called "Dataman" on our iPhones so that we can watch what our data usage is and compare it to what Verizon says it is. We'll be having a very terse conversation with them again soon.
  6. Good find, thanks for sharing! I rarely if ever use Safari on my Macs, choosing Chrome or Firefox instead. As a result of that I'd have never noticed it.
  7. It's very good to see you here again! Keep fighting the good fight; you're making a tremendous difference!
  8. TGO will be circulated via carrier pigeon after The Collapse.
  9. As part of the Rapid Deployment Program we got ours at work and had the option of installing it on my desktop. Not a chance in hell. Tried it on a co-workers and wanted to wash with a wire brush and scalding water when I got back to my desk. Microsoft released quite the sewer pickle with this one.
  10. We're in Verizon-Hell right now on their shared-everything metered data plan. We recently switched from the coveted Unlimited data plan when I added a line to our plan for my mom. Their records showed we used about 2GB per month on average and could realize significant savings with the new plan. Since then the different lines on the plan at random will suddenly report 50% data used and then almost an hour later report 90% used, then they fall back down. My wife had it out with them on the phone earlier and suddenly our reported data fell to something like 0.50 GB for the current month. Less than 6 hrs later it was back to reporting 50% used. Seriously... W T F. We've about had it with Verizon at this point. Their answer was for us to go ahead and upgrade to the next tier data plan or pay the overage and then submit to have it reimbursed to us. Um, not a chance in hell.
  11. Molest the Muslim is more like it.
  12. Received my S-pattern grip inserts from AZiator today. I'll start another thread about them but wanted to say thanks for passing the info about Chris along to me. Love the way these feel.
  13. That's an interesting design.
  14. Kudos to you for acknowledging a deficiency in your overall preparedness and then making plans to remedy them. Especially the part about doing some walk-throughs to lay some plans for the day you hope never comes. Most people don't bother! They buy a gun, slap a light on it and stuff it in a drawer and never think about "what if".
  15. Reminds me of this...
  16. Sure does. Works just like the Vickers in that respect.
  17. Sounds like a Nighthawk.
  18. I've tried that in the past but didn't really care much for it.
  19. Understood. Yes - it has a slightly rough texture however I have a baby-carrot thumb so I doubt I will be hitting it much except to drop mags.
  20. I run compact mag baseplates on my mags for carry. Less crap to snag on clothing, less crap to accidentally hook with your fingers if you carry more than one spare mag.
  21. It's a mag release lever. It won't change anything about the way it shoots, and it shoots like a tack driver.
  22. If you are serious about carrying your M&P for self defense and practice combat reloads, and if you have to break your primary grip to activate the mag release with your thumb, then I see this as a no-brainer. Spend the $30 and enjoy the benefits. You're simply investing in making better the item you carry to protect your life.
  23. Received my Costa Ludus / 21st Century Gunfighter "Catalyst" extended mag release for the Smith and Wesson M&P handguns today... Promptly installed it in my M&P 9mm and can say that despite being a just small light piece of plastic, it's almost worth the $30 it cost shipped to my door. The price is indeed a damn bit absurd but it's also the only extended mag release for the M&P and there are also only two vendors selling it on the Internet right now from what I've seen, so they can pretty much charge whatever they want for it and if you want one, you'll pay it. So what's it look like installed? I have read questions on other forums asking if it interferes with the use of Raven Concealment Phantom holsters or Comp-Tac MTAC holsters. I carry with both and the holster's trigger guard stops short of the mag release area so, no - it does not interfere and use of those holsters does not cause the mag to eject by accident. I also tried it with my TT Gunleather and my Occidental Leather Company holsters and it worked just fine with them for the same reason. Overall I am very pleased. The extended release allows me to drop the mag without breaking my primary hold on the firearm. I have short little Shrek fingers anyway, so this is a huge improvement for me. It's very similar to the Vickers Tactical extended release for the Glock series and I love that on my Glock 19, so... this is a winner. I'd like to buy about three more of these for our other M&Ps but that'd be nearly $100 in plastic and I'm not about to do it. I may pick up one a month for the next few months, but the price seriously is out of line and out of reach of most people I'm afraid. Which is a shame because it is truly a damn good upgrade.
  24. They should focus their energy on practicing propper trigger pulling technique with shotguns in their own mouths. A "respectful proximity" to the ceremony would be them, burning in hell.
  25. I'm surprised this thread still has legs like this on a gun forum. Surely there are cycling forums out there. Are they just all tired of talking about it?
