1. Don't take my link as being anything other than a counterpoint.  I think a lot of folks are wondering what the heck's going on and suspect that there may be some machinations behind the scenes that will only be spoke of in darkened rooms and in hushed tones.   I'm generally not a fan of conspiracy theories, but this stuff lately has really made me start to arch an eyebrow as well.
2. These guys say this isn't accurate:   http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/12/newtown-libor-hunger-games-theories.php
3. Changed the title of the thread.  It was confusing as worded.
4. The world is full of irrational, emotional, foolish people who love bandwagons because it's easier than thinking for themselves.  Add to this the problematic fact that schools teach a version of history that actually amounts to little more than indoctrination of our children, and have been doing so for the past 40-50 years, and you end up with two or three current generations of Useful Idiots who know no better than to toe the party line.   In short, we're fucked.
5. We have no way of knowing that.
6. Actually a member here on TGO at one time, to boot.  This is a fine example of why we are so quick to ban people who event hint of doing something illegal and why we strongly advocate that people use a bill of sale and perform all reasonable due diligence before buying or selling from someone.   I've said it before and I will gladly say it again:  Agencies most certainly watch private sales and sites like TGO, Gunbroker, Arfcom, etc.
7. Yep - tnx for the continued support!  I had to do this one as a hit n' run between other things today.  Didn't have a chance to reply.
8. There are details lacking in this story.  One would hope that he was not arrested merely on the basis of what he said, but on the basis of what he admitted to when questioned by the police.  Threatening statements made on Facebook certainly should be grounds to question someone, though.
9. Closing thread.  The reasons for this are best stated here:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/55255-how-to-get-started-as-a-vendor-on-tgo/
We realize that some folks may make holsters, tumble brass, fabricate knives, refinish firearms or provide other services as a sideline business. A pro-hobby if you will. However, once they engage in marketing that on TGO they simply do need to become a Vendor as they are competing [unfairly] in a space that our Vendors have the special privilege of operating within.
We have Vendors who make the very existence of TGO possible.  We are too big of a forum to operate without their support.  If someone wants to engage in something that for all practical sakes appears to be advertising (if it looks, walks and quacks like a duck...) then they are operating in that space whether they intend to or not.   Spots, no more threads like this.  If you want to share your knowledge, do so without strings attached or without the appearance of advertising.  I'm sure the members will appreciate it.  But if you want to advertise, the other Vendors would appreciate you playing by the same rules they do.
10. I have no way of troubleshooting your iPad.  Sorry.  :(
11. If you want to do a give-away just ask folks to reply to you privately, put their names in a hat and draw one. This thread as designed is going to become nothing more than guerilla marketing and we've already discussed that.
12. Clear your browser cache.  Delete everything not cookie-related.  This fixes it.
13. Congrats!
14.   Sure.  Let's pretend that you don't have a history here.
15. Looks like Aetna Mtn.
16.     Wow.  I don't think anyone in this thread has said that they plan to turn in their guns tomorrow in light of this tragic event.  Why don't you stop over-sensationalizing things (much like the media), skip the role of TGO's Internet Bully, and just treat your fellow members decently for a while?
17.   Copying a very well written post from M4C...   In the grand scheme of things, these shootings are a pimple on an elephants ass compared to the real problems facing America today. All though tragic, more people have been killed in automobile crashes today than the CT elementary school shooting. Any legislation to ban firearms in private hands will be done as merely another slight of hand to further distract us from the true problem, and that is an out of control government that can't balance a checkbook.
18.   Yes they do.
19. I can't tell from the pic... is that a 2500?  Love me some Diesels.
20. I did the Toyota FJ thing for a while and figured out pretty quick that I would never be able to get it to where I wanted it without spending 2x what the vehicle cost.  Solid front axle conversion, more power, etc.  It was a neat vehicle but just not practical.  The Jeep is loads more practical and so much cheaper to buy things for.   I'm digging the 4Runner though.  I always liked those.  :)
21. Yeah it has the electronic lockers front and rear.
22.     I contemplated 4.88 but after doing the math the 4.56's were right where I needed the RPM to be given it's a daily driver.  I like to think of it as being the same color orange as the rocks out in Moab.  I'm not a Vols fan in the least.     /me waits for the angry villagers
23.   Yeah that's the grocery getter / tow vehicle.  My wife claims it as hers.       Gear ratio isn't stock.  Came with 4.10 but it we installed 4.56 because of the bigger tires.  Wrenching on it keeps me off the streets and out of trouble.  It's almost a weekly thing.
24. They're Goodyear MT/R Kevlar.
