Noveske Rifleworks Absent from SHOT 2013. Company video explains why.
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Guys, I'm throwing the marker out in the sand right now. When I die, I want a tribute video very similar to this. You don't even have to wait for that to happen. If you want to make one now, I'm OK with it. :D -

I suggest you get a pair of them. -

His passing just sucks no matter how you look at it. Too young. Too smart. Too innovative. Too good of a guy. It's never the people you want to hear about having kicked the oxygen habit; only the good ones die young. -
NSFW WARNING... Those with delicate sensibilities who don't like boobs won't enjoy this video. They tried to censor it appropriately but... the little black bar had a hard time keeping up. Seriously, if that's you - don't press play. Don't do that and then even dare complain about the content. If you do that... if you prove that you're one of THOSE people who doesn't take time to read things on a forum.... I will ban you so fast you won't even have time to say "Titty Sprinkles" But if you ever read any of John Noveske's posts on the Internet, you know that this is exactly the kind of video he would have wanted posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmD8eyy_lZo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=HSBZtl8bMh4
A year ago all the buzz in guns was about the Springfield XDS, a six round pocket .45ACP that proved to be a game changer in the concealed carry world. Everyone has asked over the past year, will the XDS be available in 9mm and .40 S&W? For SHOT Show 2013, Springfield answered for the 9mm, and the answer is yes. The XD-S 9mm is the same dimensions as the XD-S .45ACP, but it holds 2 more rounds in both the flush and extended mags, 7 and 9 respectively. We got to shoot the gun today with Rob Leatham, and as little as the .45ACP kicks in the XD-S, the 9mm is even lighter shooting. Check out our Media Day at the Range video with our host, Julie Mac. No word yet on an XD-S .40, but the 9mm is going to be a big hit. Hopefully we’ll get one soon for a full review.
Or... you could say what happened and save me from having to watch it? :)

David! How 'bout a little warning next time?
TGO David replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Don't hold your breath. Tapatalk is a horrible piece of software from the server-side and not likely to return unless they get their stuff together. -

No, it's back to being a slow piece of shit now. Counting down the days til we can move to our new server... -

The frustrating thing is, I really didn't change anything. The fact that it's running fast right now makes no damn sense to me whatsoever. -

How have you prepared for tonights ice storm?
TGO David replied to swim615's topic in Survival and Preparedness
It's almost guaranteed not to affect anyone east of I-65 if the radar data for the past several hours is any indication. Middle TN's geography is once again ensuring that everything slides north and to the east of us. -

In other news, the search feature still works. Albeit slowly. -
Please look at this petition from Ruger

I think this is a remarkable difference from the Ruger that rolled over so quickly during the last ban. -
Larry Ward - Gun Appreciation Day - Sigh
TGO David replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Our endorsement is for the event itself as a way to support the firearms industry and to get the word out that we prefer that our Second Amendment rights are not trampled by the Obama Administration. Our endorsement is not for Larry Ward or any other person. If Jesus Christ Himself would descend from the heavens and sponsor a pro-2nd Amendment event, I'd gladly choose that one to support over one organized by Larry Ward, you, or I. Barring something promoted by an infallible deity with an eloquent speaking ability, this event seems like a reasonable one to support despite the fact that the guy who came up with the idea doesn't seem to have spent very much time with Toastmasters. It's pretty simple. You're a smart guy, Oh Shoot... I'm surprised that Occam's Razor failed you and you didn't draw this conclusion for yourself. :) -
David, contact me directly via PM. Thanks.

Closing this thread to save the world from yet another Internet rumor. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/58452-walmart-ammo/page-3#entry884923 That post is all you need to know until proven otherwise.

Psych meds linked to 90% of school shootings
TGO David replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Simple request... if you're going to copy and paste something like that, at least have the decency to format it properly rather than letting your Clipboard throw up all over the forum. The mess you posted trainwrecked the way HTML was being rendered on some browsers. Thanks. -
Why all the duplicate posts on the classifieds?
TGO David replied to 221 Fireball's topic in Feedback and Support
There's no way for me to say this without sounding rude, but you need to understand that we've been working on this server issue almost 30 hours a week for the past two weeks and that's on top of my regular 45-50hr a week "day job" which routinely has me working 7am - 4pm and any number of hours between the time you likely go to bed and wake back up. Keeping that in mind, I am absolutely exhausted and know pretty damn well what's causing the problems. If you think you know something more about why double-posts are happening, I'm ready to hear it because I could use the relief that sudden insight would bring. -

Read Ben Shapiro's book Bullies. -
I'm somewhat interested in getting a small group together for occasional Saturday morning coffee and discussion at a Nashville or Franklin area restaurant. If you're interested, post up or reply privately. Keep in mind that I want this to be small and I'm not making it open to all-comers. I'm not going to publicly post where this is happening and I sure don't want folks showing up openly carrying because I don't want a lot of undue attention. Consequently, I'm going to just say right now that I am going to be picky about who I invite. Sorry if that sounds elitist or makes it seem like we're up to some sort of Forum Illuminati nonsense. It's not and we're not. If you're interested in talking about current events, the gun culture, political things, the weather, or TGO in a general sense, this might be for you. If you're looking for fellow freedom fighters who are looking to stage a coup, keep looking because this isn't it. :)

OMG... NO ONE RUSHED TO WELCOME ME SO I MUST BE THE ONLY HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, GOD FEARING PERSON HERE!!!!!1 :panic: In case you haven't noticed, this site is huge. We see an average of 60-75 new registrations a day right now because of the political climate and the fact that a lot of people are waking up and realizing that something important is at risk of being lost if folks don't get involved. Your introductory post is one of a handful that maybe got missed by the dozen or so folks who actually make it their mission to welcome new members to this community. You'll have to pardon them for not seeing that you had finally arrived and heralding it with trumpets and confetti. Welcome to TGO. Don't be high maintenance.

Burglary possibly tied to gun owner map
TGO David replied to Poor_Dog's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Changed title from "As Expected" to "Burglary possibly tied to gun owner map" ... seriously folks, use some good titles so people can find this stuff when they search. -
As busy as the server has been lately keeping up with legitimate traffic, I sure am glad we can have a thread like this where we're +1'ing a bunch of crap just to increase our post counts. Oh, and add more load to the server. :bored:
