I just went through all the settings and there's nothing in there that should be preventing this from working properly provided you're following the correct steps.   I can sign in as you and try it out if you want me to see it firsthand.

I'm honestly very torn on the merits of Tapatalk.  From the perspective of an end-user, I do like what it brings to the user interface.  But from the perspective of a forum admin, I also see where it omits a lot of the extra features that we can add to IPB to improve the experience and add value to the site for the members.   For example, when we used the excellent Classifieds add-on for the forum, Tapatalk didn't support it and wouldn't render the pages properly.  We ditched the Classifieds in favor of Tapatalk.   In hindsight, I should have done it the other way around.

This has also been fixed this morning.  Still waiting on fixes for a few other issues.

If you clear your browser cache, this should be corrected now.  Still waiting on fixes for the other problems.

  We can't watch in real-time but the forum software does log private chats and retains them for a period of time.

I've never been asked but I'd likely just tell them to mind their own damn business.  My touchy feely side comes out in instances like this.

Tapatalk's developers focus a very large amount of their time on the VB version.

Sorry guys - have had a really busy week and stress finally caught up to me and has caused some problems.  I decided to take a few days off from the Internet.   IPB seems to have really jacked some stuff up with the 3.4.2 release including embedded videos.  They claim that 3.4.3 is forthcoming and will fix this.  I don't have a timeline.

Fixed.   Interestingly enough I had really never intended for anyone other than moderators to be able to start private chat sessions as I've seen that feature be used for lewd behavior in the past.  Provided we're all above that here, this feature can stay enabled.

  You're absolutely right.  You know what the trend is?   Screwed up people.  Mentally defective individuals who will use a knife, an ice pick, a baseball bat, a furry kitten or a ball of cotton to kill someone else if a gun is not handy.  In this case it was a former soldier suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder who had easy access to a firearm because of the philanthropic work that Chris Kyle was doing with such individuals.   It's a horrible shame but it doesn't appear that the government, a foreign interest or even space aliens had anything to do with this.
