  1. I'm building mine with matching uppers, matching limited-edition Magpul furniture, matching mags and matching ammo ... but I am using an off-brand fire selector switch finished in neon green as the pièce de résistance to show my OCD who's boss.
  2. Things like this really are proof to me that only the good die young.  I've got a growing list of people that I feel should surrender their oxygen-rights to cats, dogs and dung beetles, but then there are people like Jasen that the world seriously needs more of.   We'll be saying farewell to him later today and tomorrow morning.
  3. Pardon me for not writing another four paragraph response covering the exact same #### that's already been said by me and others in the thread, thus saving you the time and bother of reading for yourself. Get the sand out of your crack before you post nonsense like that again. No one's here to hold your hand and tell you how awesome you are for asking shit that's already been answered.
  4. Watched the pilot and thought it was pretty good.  The special effects really weren't that bad.  I hope they can steer clear of the cheese and let it become a good series with some grit.
  5. Why the fuck is someone from San Francisco posting on a Tennessee firearms forum?
  6.   When we have information.
  7.   We're just doing lowers.  I have no information about whether this company even manufactures uppers.   That being said, I think people really get too worked up over the notion of matching uppers and lowers when they build an AR because they've been conditioned to think that a BMC upper [or insert brand here] needs an upper from the same manufacturer to somehow be a quality firearm.  None of my ARs have brand matching uppers and lowers.  I built them with the best components possible and selected uppers based on my need, not on what the lower said on the side of it.   I'm really surprised that people aren't just satisfied that someone has taken it upon themselves to offer us this opportunity for billet lowers with the community logo on them.
  8.   Yeah, TDOS is going to get right on revoking Kim Jung Un's Tennessee HCP.  :bored:
  9. Welcome.  We've been known to send some Tennesseans to Texas in years past... always good to welcome one coming back the other direction.
  10. Jasen was a member here, an avid supporter of the 2nd Amendment, a fellow Jeep owner and just an all around great guy.  Some of you knew him and those who didn't really missed out.  It saddens me to report that he succumbed to the battle he had fought against cancer since last year, passing from this life to the next this last Sunday morning.   He died way too young.   If you happened to know him, feel free to PM me for memorial arrangements.  I know his wife, family and friends would love to see the memorial service packed to standing room only.   Thanks.
  11. The software shouldn't have allowed it but IPB has let me down on more important things than this.
  12.   Not here you haven't.  I've never allowed animated GIFs in avatars.  :)
  13. Probably a .300 BLK for myself and probably a 5.56 each for my "kids".  They're both old enough now that they need to have one for their own homes.
  14. Guys, these lowers are as "spec" as anything from countless other manufacturers.  The same parts that work in a Spikes, CMMG, Smith & Wesson, Sun Devil, blah bah ad infinium, lower will work in these.  This manufacturer produces lowers for themselves as well as others.  If we were at liberty yet to say who the manufacturer was, don't you think we'd have posted it by now?   :)   Information will come soon enough.  This thread was just a fact-finding mission to see if enough folks would be interested.
  15. Sorry man. Animated GIF avatars are the second-most annoying things on the Web.  The first being web pages that immediately start playing music when they load.
  16. Animated GIFs aren't allowed in avatars because they are extremely annoying.
  17. Very nice AAR.  I consistently only hear the best of things about Randy's classes.  We're very fortunate to have him here.
  18. Please note that you must be a Benefactor to post WTB ads.  Hopefully someone can answer your other question for you.
  19. Guys, there are a lot of esoteric notions floating around in this thread.  Let me squash some of this before it gets out of hand:   As stated previously there won't be a PayPal option for this.  It's against their TOS and we're not going to creatively try to skirt that and ruin a good relationship with them. We aren't going to do a logo contest to see what people like the best.  The logo will be the TGO icon that appears on our 3" circular decals.  The serial numbers will most likely start with TGO######. Nothing has been determined regarding distribution yet.  An FFL will have to be involved, obviously. We will work with our existing TGO Vendors first when the time comes.  If a Vendor is not in your part of the state, we will have to work around that. Currently the only thing on the drawing board is the standard 5.56 size lower.  We do not have any info about doing a 7.62 size lower.  If that changes, we'll make a post about it.   Thanks.
  20.   Actually... a damn good video.  Intelligently presented and very well articulated.  It'd be great to see future videos delivered with the same style and less of what his detractors have called "Roid Yeager".  Too often he plays right into the hands of the wrong people with his over the top delivery and weird twitchy behavior.   I honestly can't believe I'm saying this, but I have no problems with that video whatsoever and agree with everything he said and how he said it.  He even seems to have stopped shopping at The Buckle and is sporting a Spike's Tactical shirt this time.  :)
  21. Logo will likely be the TGO "icon" like we have on our 3" round decals.
  22.   If we do it, we're doing it with the logo.  I'm not getting into a Burger King scenario with these.  We'll offer it one way and if people want it, great.  If not, they can buy some other lower.
  23.   I ordered mine from Brian Enos a few years ago.  I can strongly second this recommendation.
