Yeah, I can do that. I'll have the software send you a custom invoice for the difference.

Force the laptop to reload all of the site files. This article explains how: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Bypass_your_cache Clearing the cache shouldn't be necessary. Just try a hard refresh of the page, as described inside that. The method is different per browser and platform, but a Shift + F5 does it on Chrome.

Chat is hosted @ IPB, not here. They may have had a problem yesterday. I'm able to get in this morning.

Many thanks!

QUESTION: I already have an active Benefactor membership. Can I upgrade for the difference in cost? ANSWER: YES! Absolutely. The forum software will give you credit for your existing Benefactor membership and only charge you an "upgrade" fee. :) Here's how to do it... At the top right of the screen click your name and then select the option for Client Area from the drop down menu. This will take you to the Store's client menu. Once at the Client Menu, click on the Purchases tab along the left-hand side of the screen. On the right-hand side of the screen you will see your active purchases. Click on the active purchase that you want to upgrade. In this example it's a 1-Year premium membership. Once you are viewing the active purchase, on the right-hand side of the screen will be several buttons. One of them is marked Change Package. Click it. You will now be shown a screen that has a list of packages (there may only be one, as in this case) that you can upgrade to. If you had a 6-month package, it would show you both the 1-Year and the Lifetime packages as options that you could choose. Select the radio button next to the option you want to upgrade to, and then click the Change To Selected Package button at the bottom of the screen. You can now proceed to the checkout. Once there, you should see that the cost of purchasing the new package reflects an "Upgrade" which only charges the difference between what you already had and what you're wanting to upgrade to. In this case the cost for the Lifetime membership has been reduced, taking into consideration the $35.00 1-Year option that the member already had. That's all there is to it. Sadly the process isn't as straight forward as I would have preferred but it's just the logic that the software follows when doing an upgrade. :)

OK, they resolved it quickly. The problem is this software sucks and isn't intuitive at all. I'm going to post a how-to here in a moment, but basically you do it via a convoluted process of upgrading your existing purchase. 1. Visit the Client Area 2. Click on Purchases to view Your Purchases 3. Click on your existing purchase in the window 4. Click on the "Change Package" button on the right hand side 5. Click the radio button next to the package you're upgrading from 6. Click the button at the bottom to "Change to Selected Package" 7. Proceed through the checkout Why they have to make it this hard to do something simple is beyond me. IP.Board really ticks me off sometimes. :wall:

Working on this with the IPB support folks now. The software is configured correctly to provide the upgrade price but it's not doing it for some reason.

CMT will do anything you want if you're willing to write them a big enough check.

Ah-ha... I think I found the problem. One tiny little check box that wasn't toggled on the store side. It should work now but reply back if it hasn't. I'll be watching this thread.

Hmmm. It should work but let me check it!

Guys, temper your expectations about things like matched uppers, sequential serial numbers, etc. Those things all add excessive overhead to the logistics and were never promised. Let's be glad we're getting a shot at some special commemorative lowers. If we can do anything beyond that it's purely up to CMT.

I'm all in.

TMF hit the target below the line on this one. In other words, I agree completely. The complaint is stupid and baseless. Learn to aim and hit what you aim at. Thread closed.

Any time I get a chance to throw some Betty White in a thread, you know it's going to happen. BAM.

I'm just glad you're still here with us. It always makes me feel good to see folks from the early days still posting and enjoying the site. :) The fact that you chose to go above and beyond that and help us keep the lights on is just icing on the cake. And thank you for that.

Changed my mind! Did some research and saw the quality of posts and drama you bring to other forums. Don't bother coming back. We don't need you here. :) Fine example --> http://www.r6messagenet.com/forums/1923712-post1.html Maybe Kentucky has a firearms forum you can sign up on. Everything's better north of the border.

This is highly threatening and would pretty much end up with the police knocking on your door and earn you a felony charge. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules 5.) Do not promote illegal activities. Members may not use these forums to promote illegal activities and are asked to hold themselves to a higher standard, not only as a firearms owner, but also as a member of these forums. We would like to remind you that there are many eyes upon these forums. TNGunOwners.com is frequently monitored by the media and various law enforcement agencies. The Internet provides an almost indelible record of everything said or done on message forums such as this. What you say here today may haunt you elsewhere tomorrow. See you in two weeks. It'll be good time to think about how to conduct yourself here.

Heh... forums. :)

I'm developing a decent list of reasons.

Start making friends on this site then. That includes the LEOs. And me. Mostly me. Because the LEOs will just kick your ass on a dark road somewhere. I'll ban you. :D

NFA Trust for $100?
TGO David replied to GlockSpock's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
You don't want to be the guy who finds out his bargain NFA trust doesn't hold water. I'd go with a local pro over a remote whomever any day of the week. -
Kids talk. Stupid kids talk more. Sooner or later you'll find out who did it.
