  1. The Mako Group is now sole USA distributor of Meprolight Optical Sights and Self-illuminated “Night Sights.”   In a joint announcement made simultaneously in the USA and Israel, the USA shooting market learned of a change in the national distribution of the Meprolight line of self-illuminated gun sights. After a decade of distribution by Kimber USA, Meprolight Self-illuminated sights are now distributed in the USA exclusively by The Mako Group.   The Mako Group, a leading distributor of unique weapon accessories, has been distributing Meprolight Optical and Electro Optical sights in the USA since 2011.   Shay Granov, The Mako Group’s Vice President of Business Development, said “We are very pleased to be named the exclusive USA distributor of all Meprolight Optical and Self-illuminated sights. We have broad experience with Meprolight Optical and Electro Optical sights and a wide range of other weapon accessories for rifles, pistols and shotguns. This, combined with our extensive dealer network and reputation for providing the highest level of service and personalized attention, assures that the transition of Meprolight’s Self-illuminating Night Sights to new distribution management will serve the industry well.
  2. Someone should start hanging out at Wal-Mart and take pictures of these a-hole that repeatedly buy it up every day.  Start a page on the Internet called "Ammo Hoarders of Wal-Mart" and post their pics up.  A modern day Wall of Shame.
  3. I'll be waiting til this rush subsides before I send mine in.  So far it hasn't gone bang unless I've told it to go bang.
  4.     Ooo... I like the name of that forum.  :hyper:
  5.   This was absolutely my first reaction as well.
  6. It wasn't that long ago that it was unheard of for blacks to vote... or women.  We need less government, not more of it.  Let the churches decide who they will or won't marry.
  7.   I suspect a lot of people are looking at it this way too.  I know I am.  Bud was an icon in the industry but I think it's time the team had an oil-change at the executive level.
  8.   We should try to do a meet n' greet for dinner somewhere one day for the folks who are driving in from different parts of the state to pick up their lowers.
  9. Looking good.  :)
  10. So I'm likely building mine up as a high-end SPR.  It's a special lower/upper combo so I'll keep with that spirit and make it a cut above my normal rifle builds.
  11. We don't serve out anything that requires browser certificates.  Nothing via SSL.  Not sure where you'd get that message on our site.

    How do i

That sounds like the problem to me as well.
  13. My M&P40 has over 5,000 rds through it with no problems.  People are dumb if they don't snap these up!
  14. Well it's October and that means Halloween and that also means Ghost Stories.   I'm not much of a believer in the idea that when a person dies their soul can remain here on Earth.  Being raised in a Christian home, my belief is that people have one of two destinations when they die and remaining on Earth isn't one of them.   That being said, I find it intriguing that there are plenty of cases where "ghosts" seem to be actually a documented phenomena.  Whether they are human souls or something else, I'm curious how many folks here have ever had a ghostly experience of their own.   Share your stories?  Or share stories you've heard?
  15. Heck yeah!  Nothing beats folks who are self sufficient and you guys have it in spades.
  16.   Welcome to the group, Eric.  And thanks for serving!  You've definitely found the right group for talking and shooting.  The pendulum swings pretty equally as to which we like to do more.  :D
  17. Just a few more days, folks.  Pricing can't be announced publicly because that's how the manufacturer wants it.  We need to respect their wishes and just be appreciative of the fact that this is being offered to us.   Trust me -- from what I've seen you're going to be glad you waited.  :)
  18. Noveske has you covered... My range of emotions: :panic:    :usa:
  19.   So don't choose between the two -- the lowers are first in line since that project has been in the works for far longer.  This may be something that makes sense for us later on this year or early next.  Joe didn't put an expiration on it.
  20. As most folks know Joe @ Battlemug (formerly of Hero-Gear) and I good friends.  Joe loves to send me pics of cool new things he's working on and lately he shared an item with me that might be of interest here.   The guys at ITS Tactical have ordered a special run of Battlemugs with their logo on them and special designations for Plank Owner, Life Member, etc. for folks who are members of their community.  Joe sent me a link to it and I thought it was really damn cool, so I asked him how we could maybe do the same for TGO Life Members.   Joe is willing to hook us up with a special run of Battlemugs as long as at least 25 Life Members are interested.  These will only be made available to Life Members as a thank you and a special perk.  Cost would be $199 which would include the special TGO Life Member edition Battlemug, a free AR-15 carry handle and free shipping.   The catch is we need 25 folks.   Anyone interested?  I'm down for one myself so we just need 24 other Life Members to jump on it.   :D
  21. I need to do a review on mine, but here's what I carry and I recommend it without hesitation: Sandpiper of California (SOC) Three-Day Pass Elite http://shop.sandpiperca.com/index.php/gear-packs/three-day-elite-black.html I have had this bag for exactly one year. I got it last September right before my dad passed away and immediately started using it for business travel and every-day gear toting. It has absolutely shrugged off a mountain of abuse. It looks as good today as it did when it was brand new. ZERO signs of wear. I've crammed it under airplane seats, in overhead compartments and stuffed it under chairs on busses. I've thrown it in and out of my Jeep, carried it daily to work, and kicked it under more desks than I can count. It's carried not one but two laptops AND an iPad simultaneously and in complete safety to the devices and comfort to me. It's the only backpack I have found yet that doesn't scream "Tacticool" but has dozens of cubbies and pockets suitable for the prepared, armed individual. The main compartment has a padded sleeve for a laptop as well as a bladder pocket for hydration. The next largest compartment is lined with three heavy duty vertical strips of velcro to which you affix three included mesh zipper packs which are perfect for holding laptop power supplies, cords, toiletries, and sundries. A series of pockets and flaps cover the front of the pack and hide several compartments sealed off from the elements, a typical pens/pencils office supplies organizer, etc. The pack is covered in various places with color-matched MOLLE loops for additional attachment points. The straps are HEAVY DUTY and padded for comfort. There's a "drag loop" at the top of the pack that works just fine for a handle. The shoulder straps have a comfortable chest-strap that can tie them together and spread even more of the load across the wearer's upper body. The back of the pack has extraordinarily comfortable and durable padding panels that are designed to comfort your back and channel air-flow to keep your back from getting sweaty. I really can't say enough good things about this pack and wish I had the sort of funds to just give them away to people. You can find them online for around $100.
  22. Oh my...  I may need a moment here to compose myself.
  23. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
