    How do i

That sounds like the problem to me as well.
  3. My M&P40 has over 5,000 rds through it with no problems.  People are dumb if they don't snap these up!
  4. Well it's October and that means Halloween and that also means Ghost Stories.   I'm not much of a believer in the idea that when a person dies their soul can remain here on Earth.  Being raised in a Christian home, my belief is that people have one of two destinations when they die and remaining on Earth isn't one of them.   That being said, I find it intriguing that there are plenty of cases where "ghosts" seem to be actually a documented phenomena.  Whether they are human souls or something else, I'm curious how many folks here have ever had a ghostly experience of their own.   Share your stories?  Or share stories you've heard?
  5. Heck yeah!  Nothing beats folks who are self sufficient and you guys have it in spades.
  6.   Welcome to the group, Eric.  And thanks for serving!  You've definitely found the right group for talking and shooting.  The pendulum swings pretty equally as to which we like to do more.  :D
  7. Just a few more days, folks.  Pricing can't be announced publicly because that's how the manufacturer wants it.  We need to respect their wishes and just be appreciative of the fact that this is being offered to us.   Trust me -- from what I've seen you're going to be glad you waited.  :)
  8. Noveske has you covered... My range of emotions: :panic:    :usa:
  9.   So don't choose between the two -- the lowers are first in line since that project has been in the works for far longer.  This may be something that makes sense for us later on this year or early next.  Joe didn't put an expiration on it.
  10. As most folks know Joe @ Battlemug (formerly of Hero-Gear) and I good friends.  Joe loves to send me pics of cool new things he's working on and lately he shared an item with me that might be of interest here.   The guys at ITS Tactical have ordered a special run of Battlemugs with their logo on them and special designations for Plank Owner, Life Member, etc. for folks who are members of their community.  Joe sent me a link to it and I thought it was really damn cool, so I asked him how we could maybe do the same for TGO Life Members.   Joe is willing to hook us up with a special run of Battlemugs as long as at least 25 Life Members are interested.  These will only be made available to Life Members as a thank you and a special perk.  Cost would be $199 which would include the special TGO Life Member edition Battlemug, a free AR-15 carry handle and free shipping.   The catch is we need 25 folks.   Anyone interested?  I'm down for one myself so we just need 24 other Life Members to jump on it.   :D
  11. I need to do a review on mine, but here's what I carry and I recommend it without hesitation: Sandpiper of California (SOC) Three-Day Pass Elite http://shop.sandpiperca.com/index.php/gear-packs/three-day-elite-black.html I have had this bag for exactly one year. I got it last September right before my dad passed away and immediately started using it for business travel and every-day gear toting. It has absolutely shrugged off a mountain of abuse. It looks as good today as it did when it was brand new. ZERO signs of wear. I've crammed it under airplane seats, in overhead compartments and stuffed it under chairs on busses. I've thrown it in and out of my Jeep, carried it daily to work, and kicked it under more desks than I can count. It's carried not one but two laptops AND an iPad simultaneously and in complete safety to the devices and comfort to me. It's the only backpack I have found yet that doesn't scream "Tacticool" but has dozens of cubbies and pockets suitable for the prepared, armed individual. The main compartment has a padded sleeve for a laptop as well as a bladder pocket for hydration. The next largest compartment is lined with three heavy duty vertical strips of velcro to which you affix three included mesh zipper packs which are perfect for holding laptop power supplies, cords, toiletries, and sundries. A series of pockets and flaps cover the front of the pack and hide several compartments sealed off from the elements, a typical pens/pencils office supplies organizer, etc. The pack is covered in various places with color-matched MOLLE loops for additional attachment points. The straps are HEAVY DUTY and padded for comfort. There's a "drag loop" at the top of the pack that works just fine for a handle. The shoulder straps have a comfortable chest-strap that can tie them together and spread even more of the load across the wearer's upper body. The back of the pack has extraordinarily comfortable and durable padding panels that are designed to comfort your back and channel air-flow to keep your back from getting sweaty. I really can't say enough good things about this pack and wish I had the sort of funds to just give them away to people. You can find them online for around $100.
  12. Oh my...  I may need a moment here to compose myself.
  13. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
  14.   This is exactly what I've heard is the reason these jobs are being cut at Vandy.  I'm surprised more people didn't know about this, but not surprised at all that VU is keeping a tight lid on it and not allowing the media to speculate.  VU is about to get their ass handed to them by the government if the claims of Medicare fraud are true.  It will cost them MILLIONS in fines and the only way they can offset it is to cut some of the fat they've accumulated over the years.   My daughter was treated at VU years ago and that place is the most bloated, disorganized, disjointed medical facility I have ever seen.  There's no doubt that they do a lot of good work for people who desperately need it, but the stories I keep hearing on the street say that the government has a pretty clear-cut case against them and it's going to take years to fully investigate and it's going to put a massive hole in their budget.   It sounds like this has less to do with Obamacare and more to do with fiscal negligence.
  15.   I like to think of the external extractor as actually fixing the one thing about the 1911 platform that really did need some evolutionary refinement applied to it.  The internal extractor frequently needs to be tuned or tweaked as your round count increases ever higher, but the external extractor really doesn't.   To each his own, of course, but an external extractor would never deter me from owning a particular 1911.  I see it as a plus in many cases.
  16.   Right on.  Will shoot you a message tonight or in the morning before 8am.  I figure it'll probably be somewhere in the 11am - 1pm range if that works OK for you?
  17. I work from home on Fridays and could meet you sometime tomorrow if that works?  TN-Popo is another option too.
  18.   Tread lightly with the sarcasm.  We've all got a good sense of humor, but snarkiness might earn a vacation.
  19.   It's not a requirement; probably a bug in the software.  I've had questionable luck getting it to parse the URL correctly no matter what post # it is if I don't enclose the URL in the media tags manually.
  20. If you can drive up to Smyrna and meet me somewhere, I can install them for you with my sight press.  It takes all of about 5 mins.
  21.   See previous comment.  Stop speaking for me, Robert.  You might be the majority in your own mind but you're not in real practice.
  22.   The problem I have with this mentality is that you don't speak for me.  My wife and I actually enjoy sitting in Starbucks drinking their coffee.  We like their coffee and we like the atmosphere of their cafes.  We like to sit there, watch people, surf the internet, and we prefer to do it armed -- much the same as we prefer to do anything else armed.  The deal is, we conceal.  Usually in a pants pocket, or under a jacket, but it's hidden and no one has ever been the wiser.   Now, because of selfish people who don't understand or refuse to understand that open carry scares people, I have to decide if I am going to continue going to Starbucks, stop going to Starbucks, or just go there and conceal even more discretely and ignore their request.   Previously, I didn't have to make that choice!  Now, selfish assholes are making Starbucks make the choice for me.   So... Thanks???

I've never seen an instance of the software telling a member that they couldn't modify their account profile.  Are you accessing from a computer or from a smartphone?   You'll find help for posting pictures in this thread pinned at the top of this forum:   FAQ - How Do I Post Pictures Here?
