  1.   What sort of problems were you having?
  2. You guys are making it awfully difficult for me to behave and not go out and buy one today.
  3. Yeah, if they bring the Diesel engine to the JK platform it will be an ideal rig as far as I'm concerned.  I ended up selling my JKU and picked up a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 so that we would have a little more usable vehicle now that we have a baby in the house.  It's got enough "cool factor" to it to keep me alive below the waist, so I was OK with the trade.  :)   Plus I can technically say I still own a Jeep.
  4. Excellent post describing it far better than I could have.  Thanks, Mac.
  5.   Yoga pants are potentially the most amazing invention ever, so it's forgivable that they have one shortcoming like this.
  6. Thanks for putting this together, Willis!
  7. Nah not yet.  I'm going to hold out as long as I can til I find a great deal on one.
  8. You know... a man could spend a whole lot less time writing round-about descriptions of what he's looking for and why, by just stating what he's looking for and why.
  9. I don't necessarily need another handgun, and I've got plenty of others to choose from, but for some reason lately I'm finding myself wanting to add an M&P Shield to the collection.  I already have a Springfield XD-S in .45ACP for pocket carry and it does that job nicely.  The Shield seems a big bigger, which means it wouldn't be right for pocket carry and if I'm going to carry inside the waistband I'm going to just tote my Glock 19, M&P 9mm or one of sundry others which have higher capacity.   So the thing is, I keep thinking about buying one, but don't exactly need one.   :squint:   This is why the wife puts me on an allowance.
  10. Ok, this has been fixed and should work for all of you now.  I'm going to make an announcement about this shortly but I need to get with IPB support and have them explain to me the proper settings in the software to avoid having this happen again.   Sorry for the headaches.
  11. This FAQ is stickied at the top of this sub-forum's main page.  :)   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/56680-faq-how-do-i-post-pictures-here/
  12.   Agree wholeheartedly.
  13. All non-firearms political / currnet events threads now belong in the Hive of Scum and Villainy forum [LINK].  This forum, the 2nd Amendment Current Events and Politics forum, is solely for the use of discussing firearms related political issues and newsworthy stories.   Things you should know:   Regarding "Cop Bashing", unless it happened in Tennessee I don't want it posted here.  Period.  Post that crap somewhere else.   The Hive of Scum and Villainy no longer shows up on searches for new threads.  Why?  Because I really could care less.  This is a firearms forum and firearms issues (Glock vs. 1911) are volatile and divisive enough to a community such as ours.  If you want to wallow in the mud and argue about politics that don't relate to firearms, then you can make the manual effort to visit that forum and see what's new.  Bad news is everywhere; I don't care to see it popping up in my TGO news feed and many other members likely agree.     That's all.  Please keep our forum clean by ensuring new threads regarding either of these topics get posted in the appropriate forum.

  14.   I have a Mossberg 590 and have had a Remington 870 in the past.  Both are great shotguns.  But I wanted to make sure and draw attention to prag's advice at the end of his post:  You won't do much better than getting some training on whatever you buy from Randy.
  15. Welcome.  I lived in Smyrna until not too long ago.
  16.   Done deal.         Likewise done deal.     Sorry to hear about the rough patch you guys are going through.
  17.     I think this is a good place to stop this thread.  I will note that Everything Weapons inquired a few times about advertising here and has yet to follow through.  Yet somehow, they've always had plenty of au-gratis mentions in threads from customers.  It's a gray area for sure, but sooner or later it seems a bit suspicious when someone registers for an account just to tell us how awesome their experience was.   I guess in the grand scheme of things, they got guerilla advertising and they got some guerilla feedback so there's now balance in the universe.  That being said, I'm now to the point where if I see Everything Weapons mentioned by anything other than a satisfied customer who's been a member of here since before 2014 and has more than 10 posts to their name, I'm going to consider it to be more spamvertising and delete it.   We've got good shops who support TGO and make it possible for us to entertain and inform our members.  The shops that don't want to support TGO shouldn't expect a free lunch.
  18.   *shrug*   It's built into every IPB installation out there, likely for this very reason.  vBulletin offers it as an "add in" but it's still available.
  19.   I need permission to log in as you so I can see what's going on.  No need to send me your password; just tell me it's OK to do so and the software will let me.
  20.   That's easy.  No one will be talking about River Monsters on Monday.  Or ever.
  21.   Lord forbid the guy used department letterhead, if he did.   I think maybe the problem here is that you and I don't jump to the same conclusions when we read things like this.  I don't automatically assume the officer was up to something, looking for a way to step on my rights.
  22.   OR...   And I'm just throwing this out there because we all know that every cop in the world is a jack-booted thug who beats citizens with a rubber hose and eats babies, but in a hypothetical world where cops were people too, the Sgt. in question maybe wanted to know for his own personal sake for his own personal firearms collection which may or may not include an AR15 pistol.
  23. You people who are discounting what Hilton Said and casually dismissing his years of experience to claim he's a "plastic gun apologist" really need to produce your resumes or get better rhetoric.
