This thread revived a desire I have had, off and on, for a while to pick up one of the Sig TacOps Traditional full-size 1911s.  I may have to put that on my Christmas list and ask Mrs. Santa to either give me the OK or go pick one up for me herself.  :)

We can't have a thread ending on a happy note like this.  There was so much speculation that these folks were kidnapping dogs, whisking them away to some creepy barn out in the middle of a field full of crop circles, and slowly grinding them alive into snausages [sic] with an under-powered lumber chipper.   At least tell us that the camel had ebola or something.   :)

Well... interesting.   My wife says the guy at the very, very last scene after the credits is the guy that Rick was holed up with in the house at the very first of the series.  I can't remember what I did yesterday let alone what happened that far back in TWD. 

I enjoy the benefits of being at the top of the food chain.  If a critter I don't want near me, comes near me... I kill it with extreme prejudice.  Spider, snake, predatory zombified muskrat... doesn't matter.  Dead.

  I'm in agreement with TMF's post and likely would have done the same thing as the OP.  Call me a hot-head if you want, but society has gotten to where it is because good people have been told not to turn the other cheek, but to cower in fear of society's turds, savages and primates.

I still have a property in Rutherford Co. (house, small lot -- maybe .25 acres of lawn) that needs monthly lawn care.  Up until recently I had enjoyed very reliable mowing service from an older gentleman, but he's started having health problems and is no longer able to work.   I'm looking for someone who is "in the business" either full or part time and can simply mow and edge a residential lot for me in Smyrna once a month.  More than that isn't necessary as the grass just doesn't grow that fast.   Thanks in advance.

Welcome!  And congrats on the addition to the family.  :)   I would say that most of us here in your situation, either with or expecting children, secure our firearms with a safe of some sort.  For ease of access for you but security from curious little hands (or others), you might find a biometric bedside safe of some sort to be ideal.  There are hundreds of options that range from small enough to keep in a bedside table, to bedside tables themselves where the safe is integrated.

I've read the book.  I believe that scene is at the very first part of it as was stated previously by another member.   I can't wait to see this.
