  1.   You don't want this funk that I've got.  :)
  2.   Is it just the Springfield Armory GI model or is it one of the others?  Specifically which one?  I ask because they have various sight cuts in the slides, so I want to actually recommend something to you.
  3. What manufacturer is your 1911?  You might want to try a rear sight that doesn't have any dots at all, or a single dot beneath the notch... and a U-shaped notch.
  4. If your wife and son won't be with you on Saturday at the convention, they might really enjoy the Adventure Science Center.  It's only a short drive away.
  5.   Seems to be working out well for them.
  6. Yep - been under the weather and just not on the forum the past two days.  I'll shoot over some info tonight or tomorrow; playing catch-up right now.
  7. Hah... I shot next to you on Sunday.  :)
  8.   ^^^ This... is funny.
  9. Great post about great folks.  Congrats to you both!
  10. Is it true that most Crown Vic owners like this buy their cars because they've had so much experience riding around in the back of one in cuffs?  :)
  11. Welcome aboard.
  12.   She can find work elsewhere.  These are people's kids that she is playing Cesar with.  There is no margin for error there.
  13. I believe you're able to walk dogs at the Lee Victory park on Sam Ridley Pkwy.   For BBQ, hit up Bob's BBQ on Enon Springs Drive.  Get a pulled pork BBQ sandwich or two, or their loaded baked potato.  Get it to go and then eat it at the Smyrna Library just down the road also on Enon Springs, outside on the benches near the fountain.  Dogs should be welcome there as well.   Or head the other direct on Enon Springs and visit the Gregory Mills Park which has a nice creek area that your dogs could splash around in while you eat your BBQ.  Be warned that as long as there's been rain lately, the water should be flowing and fresh.  If it hasn't, the water will be stagnant and tepid.   For Preds gear, definitely just visit the Bridgestone Area pro-shop.   Antique Archeology is skip-able in my opinion.  We went once.  It wasn't worth the hassle.  Very overpriced and generally speaking you're going to stand in line outside the place waiting to get in.  If you do and you end up standing in line, visit Garage Coffee Company also in the Marathon Motors building.

    HK VP9

I installed Trijicon HD's on my VP9 with my MGW Sight Pro.  Easy peasy.
  15. I don't know what their requirements are as far as how likely others are to request a certain "shoe" or not, but they say that if you're willing to send them your slide, they will machine a shoe for that make and model and then send you one for free as a thank you.

    HK VP9

P30 and VP9 mags are the same mag.  No difference in part number.  If you find P30 mags, you've found VP9 mags.  :)
  17. Myself, the missus, and MacGyver will be there with Media Passes to cover the excitement.  :)
  18. No, the mags are usually between $38-45 a piece for the 15rd variety.  Gougers are taking advantage of the popularity of the VP9 and the market shortage of mags to rape the buying public.
  19.   The school administrator responsible should be tarred, feathered, fired, and driven from town.
  20. Yes it is.  But for the average person, the cost equals that of a new handgun so I can see why most folks won't sink the money on one.  It made short, easy work of the sights on my VP9 just like all of the single-purpose MGW tools did for the other handguns I've owned.
  21.   As evidenced by there being a Gen 4 of anything.  :)
  22.   Nothing wrong with that.  Their payment to you is granting you access into the show.  The equality of that trade is really up to the individual.  :)
  23. I figure it boils down to "Why pay when you can find eager volunteers?"
  24. 30SF.   The 26/27 just don't do anything right, in my opinion.  The slide is too fat to be a pocket gun, but the grip is too short to be a primary gun.   The 30SF is longer in the grip to make it feel a bit more like a 19/23 and ... well... it's a 45ACP.  That's God's Chosen Caliber.
