So, we went-n-bought a late model charger yesterday :0)

As fate would have it, I traded my Raptor off and picked up one of the new Scat Pack edition 392 Hemi R/T Chargers this past week. Really love the car! -
True. We took ours out to LBL and ran the numbered dirt roads once and it was a fairly fun outing. When we took it down some of the narrower stuff, it got harrowing. Offroading around here means "Jeep trails" which means you need a smaller, more nimble vehicle with aggressive approach and departure angles that won't get high centered on stuff. My JK Unlimited was almost too big for a lot of trails. The Raptor just wasn't made for that sort of thing.

So... This past week I received an offer too good to pass up on my 2011 Raptor and we parted ways. 5 years was a good run, but who wouldn't take $5K less on trade than they PAID for it 60 months ago??? Our plan has been to pick up a 2018 Raptor if Ford doesn't end up screwing the first-year buyers again the way they did in 2011. The 2010 Raptors are the ugly step-kid. No crew-cab option and the 5.4L Triton motor as opposed to the 6.2L solid iron engine in the 2011+. You can't give a 2010 away; I've seen their value listed as low as $15K in some sources. Ford really gave the early adopters the middle finger and I kind of suspect they may do it again in 2018. The Ecoboost twin-turbo V6 may be impressive but truck guys want V8s. My suspicion is that 2018 will see the 5.0L Coyote come to the Raptor, maybe even in boosted form. So I cashed in on the unnaturally high resale value the old Raptor has right now, and am going to sit on the sidelines for the next two years to see what comes of the new truck. Next year I figure the current Raptor's resale value will fall quite a bit as owners dump theirs to be the cool kids with the new truck, and flood the market. Until I see what happens after year-one, I am going to be driving this beast: 2015 Dodge Charger R/T "Scat Pack" edition with SRT 6.4L 392ci Hemi

I noticed that today. What a shame. :(

That does not look like it was inexpensive. :)

I happen to have a great M&P 9mm for sale right now. :)

Diastolic heart conditions can generally be treated with medication. Of all the problems you could have had, Glenn, that's reasonably one of the "better" of them.

Mopar has really been putting out some sharp vehicles these past few years. The resurrection of the Charger nameplate ruffled some feathers initially but I tend to think it's a nice looking ride! -
I would have shot back. :D

I concur. My ZT0350 is a workhorse.

Well that's not good! Glad you had the presence of mind to go get checked out. Hoping for a speedy recovery.

We were kicking your company's ass from about 2pm - 7pm yesterday. Don't hate me for it. :)

IANAL, but... Two things generally affect people in these cases. One is a non-compete agreement. If you did not sign one, you are not bound by anything other than the second thing. The second thing being a "gentlemen's agreement" between those two companies not to actively poach employees from one another. Typically the company that is the customer is the one that benefits the most in these arrangements because the customer generally gets what the customer wants. My employer has this sort of agreement with many of our vendors/suppliers wherein they will not actively poach us for hire into their own organizations, however we have been known (on occasion) to poach their people. The vendor allowed it because it was good for business. In our case, provisions have been made in the past on case-by-case basis to allow a talented person to leave our employ and take a job with one of our vendors/suppliers. Those cases were all initiated by the employee and blessed by the company so that the vendor felt at ease to do it in those specific cases. So, if you're being held somewhere by the second thing... the best approach may be to be entirely transparent with your employer and explain what you want to do, why you want to do it, and build your case with anything that might make it advantageous to them to lower the drawbridge and allow you to cross over. Most vendors won't touch this scenario with a 10-foot pole unless you already have the blessing of your employer. Hiring you isn't worth the loss of a lucrative account, generally speaking.

Blow away the cache in your Mac's Safari browser and see if that fixes it. Safari 8.0+ (Mac) - Clearing Cache and Cookies Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab. Click the button Remove All Website Data.... Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears.

Something worth mentioning is that if you are concerned yours has been installed with Loctite (or know it has), you can strip the gun down to the frame (no need to detail strip the frame - just take your grips off) and place it on a baking sheet in your oven at 300 degrees for a 5-10 minutes to loosen the Loctite. Remove it from the oven wearing a mit, and promptly remove the bushings from the frame with a screwdriver.

Nice! We need to meet up sometime and shoot. (a.) Just because and (b.) I'd like to see that rifle! :)

I use both a Mac and a PC to manage/surf/post-to TGO. None of them are exhibiting the problems you have described, Caster. What web browser are you using?
-
The ONLY thing that has kept me from getting a Tavor or any other bullpup is the fact that I shoot rifles left handed and my wife shoots them right handed. With an AR or an AK, no adjustments to the rifles are necessary for her to pick up my rifle and run it. With the Tavor... not so much. :(

Welcome to TGO.

So much bad assery. Nice!
-
Even if the current bushings are staked, all you need is a good flat blade screwdriver to remove them and install the new ones. :)
-
Companies who stake their grip bushings should be forced to watch several repeat showings of The Sound of Music with Arabic over-dubbing as penance.

I've got a friend serving in Africa right now. Not a bad gig other than the separation from friends and family back home. Here's to a speedy and safe return.
