  1. Diastolic heart conditions can generally be treated with medication.  Of all the problems you could have had, Glenn, that's reasonably one of the "better" of them.
  2. Mopar has really been putting out some sharp vehicles these past few years.  The resurrection of the Charger nameplate ruffled some feathers initially but I tend to think it's a nice looking ride!
  3.   I would have shot back.                   :D
  4.   I concur.  My ZT0350 is a workhorse.
  5.   Well that's not good!  Glad you had the presence of mind to go get checked out.  Hoping for a speedy recovery.
  6.   We were kicking your company's ass from about 2pm - 7pm yesterday.  Don't hate me for it.  :)
  7. IANAL, but...   Two things generally affect people in these cases.  One is a non-compete agreement.  If you did not sign one, you are not bound by anything other than the second thing.  The second thing being a "gentlemen's agreement" between those two companies not to actively poach employees from one another.   Typically the company that is the customer is the one that benefits the most in these arrangements because the customer generally gets what the customer wants.  My employer has this sort of agreement with many of our vendors/suppliers wherein they will not actively poach us for hire into their own organizations, however we have been known (on occasion) to poach their people.  The vendor allowed it because it was good for business.   In our case, provisions have been made in the past on case-by-case basis to allow a talented person to leave our employ and take a job with one of our vendors/suppliers.  Those cases were all initiated by the employee and blessed by the company so that the vendor felt at ease to do it in those specific cases.   So, if you're being held somewhere by the second thing... the best approach may be to be entirely transparent with your employer and explain what you want to do, why you want to do it, and build your case with anything that might make it advantageous to them to lower the drawbridge and allow you to cross over.  Most vendors won't touch this scenario with a 10-foot pole unless you already have the blessing of your employer.  Hiring you isn't worth the loss of a lucrative account, generally speaking.
  8. Blow away the cache in your Mac's Safari browser and see if that fixes it.   Safari 8.0+ (Mac) - Clearing Cache and Cookies Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen. In the menu that appears, click Preferences. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab. Click the button Remove All Website Data.... Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears.
  9. Something worth mentioning is that if you are concerned yours has been installed with Loctite (or know it has), you can strip the gun down to the frame (no need to detail strip the frame - just take your grips off) and place it on a baking sheet in your oven at 300 degrees for a 5-10 minutes to loosen the Loctite.   Remove it from the oven wearing a mit, and promptly remove the bushings from the frame with a screwdriver.
  10.   Nice!  We need to meet up sometime and shoot.  (a.) Just because and (b.) I'd like to see that rifle!  :)
  11. I use both a Mac and a PC to manage/surf/post-to TGO.  None of them are exhibiting the problems you have described, Caster.   What web browser are you using?
  12. The ONLY thing that has kept me from getting a Tavor or any other bullpup is the fact that I shoot rifles left handed and my wife shoots them right handed.  With an AR or an AK, no adjustments to the rifles are necessary for her to pick up my rifle and run it.  With the Tavor... not so much.   :(
  13. Welcome to TGO.
  14. Welcome!
  15. So  much bad assery.  Nice!
  16.   Even if the current bushings are staked, all you need is a good flat blade screwdriver to remove them and install the new ones.  :)
  17. Companies who stake their grip bushings should be forced to watch several repeat showings of The Sound of Music with Arabic over-dubbing as penance.
  18. I've got a friend serving in Africa right now.  Not a bad gig other than the separation from friends and family back home.  Here's to a speedy and safe return.
  19.   For being a traitorous piece of shit?
  20. Welcome!
  21. Source: http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2015/7/17/ruger-precision-rifle/ "The Precision Rifle’s upper receiver and one-piece bolt body are CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome/molybdenum alloy steel. The lower receiver is machined in two pieces, right and left halves, from 7075-T6 hard-coat anodized aluminum. That method simplifies manufacture, allows more precise control of machining in the magazine well and makes assembly of small components easier as they can be placed in position in one half before the other half is attached. Offered at this time in three short-action chamberings, the rifle is available in .308. Win. with a 20" barrel, 6.5 mm Creedmoor with a 24" barrel and .243 Win. with a 26" barrel. The weights vary by chambering, but with the lightest model starting at 9.7 lbs. sans optic, the Precision Rifle is not a light firearm. The evaluation gun provided by Ruger was chambered in 6.5 mm Creedmoor and—after being furnished with a scope, bipod and stock-mounted monopod—tipped the scales at just over 15 lbs." Click the link at the top (or below) for more on it from the NRA. Looks like a pretty neat way to get into precision shooting for those who don't want to or couldn't bare to spend big bucks on a custom rig. http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2015/7/17/ruger-precision-rifle/
  22.   Hard work accomplishes a lot, especially when a lot of people are working hard toward a common goal.  The common denominator among the groups you refer to as wielding more political power than... whoever... is the fact that they unite a lot of people behind a common goal, and those people are diligent in their pursuits and make things happen.  Dr. Martin Luther King and other true black leaders can only do so much on their own.  MLK accomplished quite a bit by unifying the people beneath a common banner, for crying out loud.  His accomplishments weren't carried along and made easier because of crisis -- he was met with opposition and persevered.     He wasn't just shuffling along alone hoping people would join him and embrace the ideals of equal rights until a fortunate, merciful tidal wave of crisis carried him swiftly across a finish line he would have never reached otherwise; he and his fellow men and women worked their asses off for it.  Their hard work magnified the crisis.  It didn't create it.  It didn't benefit because of it.  Their hard work survived that crisis only because they fought hard to see it through.   I mean, seriously, what the f--- are they teaching in schools these days if you seriously believe what you wrote???   The Religious Right (what a defaming label, by the way) , Trade Unions, Defense Lobby and the NRA understand what Dr. King and his constituents understood:  HARD WORK PAYS OFF.  HARD WORK BY MANY PAYS OFF LARGER AND FASTER.   What hard work in large numbers has modern "disenfranchised Black America" done lately except rally behind the effort to put the worst President in history into office and burn Ferguson, MO and Baltimore, MD to the ground?  Show me black leaders today who are more like Dr. King in the sense of trying to better all of America than people like Allen West or Ben Carson.  Men who worked hard and work hard and care about the people more than they care about themselves and understand that it takes a unified front to turn tides.
  23.   There is a difference between conducting war and conducting politics.  You may think you don't want rough men on the front lines doing whatever it takes to keep our country safe, but I assure you that you do.  What is truly criminal isn't that a man like Col. West would take an enemy combatant and scare him into providing valuable information that saves the lives of coalition men and women.  Valiant, honorable soldiers have done far worse than making a hadji soil his pants.  This nation was founded by men who knew how to get #### done and who did worse than that in combat.   What is truly criminal is that the media has ever been allowed to expose the dirty truth that war is Hell to a week-kneed, hand wringing public who dares to armchair quarterback what soldiers do to preserve their lives, the lives of their brothers in arm, and the lives of us back home, against an enemy who uses children to conduct suicide bombing missions, rapes women, saws the heads off of anyone who doesn't believe in their god, and throws men from rooftops to their deaths because "they might be gay".  The only effective answer to violence conducted by evil men, is violence conducted by good men.   Further, the United States did not ratify ALL the parts of the Geneva Convention and opted to reserve the right to things like capital punishment.   So yeah, I support the #### out of Col. West because he seems like a man who knows how to get #### done.   :usa:
  24. Mmm... I really must quit thinking about how good a Tavor would look in my hands at the range.
  25. This is a heck of an opportunity!  Folks need to jump in on this with you.
