  1.   No, you're 14,366.  ;)
  2. ^^^^ Truth!   I did the clutch replacement once on my Mach 1 with a floor jack and block of wood at the front of the engine block like JohnC described and the engine shifted ever so slightly while we were muscling the transmission out.  Scared the bejeezus out of me because my arm was wrapped around the top of the trans loosening those bolts.  I just knew my arm was going to get crushed between the trans and the trans tunnel by the full weight of the engine.   After that, I bought the engine cross beam and never looked back.     Its seriously just gathering dust in my garage.  $300 tool for $75.  Come and get it.
  3.   That won't work.  Removing the trim bezel, outer and inner shift boot on a 2003 Mustang is a piece of cake but you're left with a hole about 6" square to work from.  There's no access to the bolts that he's trying to reach from there.   You've gotta tip the engine/trans slightly so that the tail of the transmission is angled downward in order to reach those bolts with regular extensions.  Ford installed the engine/trans as a single unit on the assembly line so they weren't really thinking about how hard they'd be to work on later.  It's the curse of the 32-vale 4.6L engine.  It's even worse if you put aftermarket headers on it the way my car was set up.  lol
  4. I used to have an '03 Mach 1. You're going to need to loosen the motor mounts and put a jack under the front of the oil pain and lift upward to tip the output shaft of the transmission DOWN, which should allow you to access those top bolts and loosen them. What color is your Mach? Mine was Dark Shadow Grey. I know it's still in the area, but haven't seen it in a few years. It'd be funny if you have it now. Also, I have an engine support beam that straddles inner fenders and will support the engine from above, allowing you to drop the K-Member and a host of other things. In fact it will work for precisely the operation you're trying to perform, as that's one of the reasons I had it. You remove the alternator and then attach the beam to the engine block using the same bolts / bolt holes that the alternator was mounted to. The benefit of this engine support beam is that it's safer than using a jack at the front of oil pan as it won't slip and allow the whole thing to come banging down on you. I'd gladly part with the dadgum thing for about $75 if you want it. I have no need for it now. It looks a lot like this:
  5. Strick, you are by far one of the most talented photographers I've had the pleasure to know.  Have you had any of your work published yet?  If not, you've got to be on the verge of it.  Your stuff is always incredible.
  6. Welcome!  What brings you to our little corner of the Internet?
  7. Looks good, Ron.  Vacuum form?
  8. I mean no disrespect, but chances are it's not the Glock that needs some fine tuning.  My Gen 4 groups plenty tight and is plenty accurate.  The shooter behind my Glock's trigger had to learn to shoot it though.
  9. Took a much-needed vacation to Colorado with the family this past week. Spent some time in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins both. Opted *not* to take my Canon 7D DSLR this time, instead just sticking with my iPhone 6. It was an experiment in seeing if I could enjoy myself more by not obsessing over taking "the perfect shot" like some sort of amateur Ansel Adams. I did. These aren't photographic perfection but they are photos of God's perfection. Enjoy. Oh yeah, and here's a flight of seasonal beers with a plate of bier cheese dip and back-wrapped pretzels for you at Fort Collins Brewery. So much 'Merica right here.
  10. I'd suggest doing a Nashville-area get together at Charlie Haffner's range some Saturday or Sunday soon.  That way folks can get some shooting in as well as socializing.   Or if you guys want, I can reach out to the local shops with indoor ranges and see if one of them would do a private early-opening for coffee and donuts one morning before their range opens, so that folks could chit chat and then go shoot.   *shrug*
  11.   Pssh... like we could tell you if it was.
  12. Hmm... I've had problems with that mail server before.  I've been out of town the past few days but will check the email tonight and see what's waiting and will reach back out to you.   Sorry for the problems!
  13.   I agree it's clearly a GMO rapeseed derivative - there's really very little way to dispute that.  But the spectrograph doesn't show everything there is to know about the product's formulation and there are enough deviations in it that hint at additives to substantiate the manufacturer's claims that it's not straight vegetable oil.  Heck, several machine shops that I have been around over the years used olive oil in their CNC cutting machines.   As for the public embarrassment, I think it's wise to consider the source of that shaming in this case.  The guy who started this whole thing is a competitor of FireClean.  :)
  14.   You're not Todd.  :)
  15. It's not Crisco.  It's obviously a vegetable based oil because they clearly state that it's NOT petroleum based and is bio-safe.  If it were Crisco, Fireclean would be facing serious patent issues submitting someone else's product as theirs and calling it something else.   The infrared spectrography  analysis also does not show a 100% match between the two.  Further, that type of testing is not ideal for determining precisely what is in a product and at what volumes.  Again, Fireclean is obviously a vegetable based oil product however the exact formulation could be significantly different between Crisco, Wesson, Fireclean, FP10, etc.   Regardless of all of this, it's pretty clear that it works well.  I've been a fan of Weaponshield for almost 10 years now but recently tried Fireclean on a few handguns and it cleans up easier than anything I've ever seen before.
  16. Next mailing of stickers will be this weekend or next Monday.
  17.   Agreed.  It'd be nice to see more gun content on a gun forum.  :(
  18. You came to the conclusion that there aren't enough gun shops because none of the ones that do exist have precisely the item you want?  That seems to make sense.   I will concede that Nashville hasn't exactly hit what I would think of as being the saturation point for gun shops yet, but the logic behind your conclusion is pretty thin.
  19. Yeah I'd read a press release from EW about 2-3 weeks ago stating that the deal fell through.  I think there are really three things we can take away from this:   1. Nothing is ever actually "done" in business until the ink is dry on the paper.   2. Everything Weapons is willing to grow by acquiring someone else.   3. Outpost Armory is willing to sell to the right buyer.     I'd say the odds are good that we haven't heard the last of this sort of thing.

  21. Do you prefer leather or are you open to having a Kydex holster molded for it?
  22.   Gen 4.  Better ergos.  There were some ejection problems early on but Glock sorted that out quickly.
  23. Oh.  My.  That is a sexy thing.
  24. I have both.  This is really sort of a Chevrolet vs. Ford decision.  Which do you prefer, which feels better in your hand, which do you shoot better, etc. questions.   The Glock 19 is *just* smaller in a few areas and has a more tactile trigger reset that some people prefer.  The M&P has superior ergonomics and the "feel" of the trigger varies wildly out of the box.  Some are good, some are horrible.  I've yet to have one that was GREAT, and I have several.   How about the H&K VP9?  Now there is a pistol for you.  I prefer mine over both my Glock 19 and my M&P 9mm.
  25. Nope... can't seem to care.
