I've got to be honest and say that nothing in that list excites me. It's kind of like the 1980's all over again... weird crap that won't be around in 20 years.

Hey, I'm just sayin... if you get some, I'd be glad to pay if you can ship. :)

I'd really like to get a bottle or two of Leadslingers.

Yeah it is. I've got some from last year upstairs. Very smooth stuff.

That summary will save people some time if they just read that and skip watching the episode. Last night was a wasted hour.

Show Of Hands -- Who would prefer to use a Credit Card over PayPal?
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Some of them might NOT be Benefactors because of their reluctance to use PayPal. Others may not be because they haven't needed to sell anything lately and only support the site when that's the case. *shrug* I'm really not worried about it. I think you're kind of driving it into the dirt, though. -
Any experience with FAS1 Safes?
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Agreed. This isn't intended to thwart a thief with nothing but time on his hands; this is meant to keep small fingers away from the gun. -
Seriously, try some of the Michter's American Unblended. I bet you'll love it. The vanilla taste on the back-end really mellows the whole thing.

That's high praise. I appreciate that! -
You should have offered to safely escort those poor women out of the building and made a big show of how protective you were being. We Southerners are known to be a friendly and helpful folk, after all.

Considering their suppressor-length safe as a way to keep small hands away from my night-stand gun. Wondering if any of you have first-hand experience with them? http://products.fas1safe.com/main.sc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuQftGggRE8

Larceny is indeed very good. You usually can't go wrong with the Knob Creek Single Barrel either; I have two bottles of that on hand. I opened a new bottle of Four Roses Small Batch last night after cleaning out the last bottle of their Single Barrel. I'll probably make my way to the store again today to see what else strikes my fancy. Need to stock up before the holiday get-togethers begin. :)

Show Of Hands -- Who would prefer to use a Credit Card over PayPal?

I think I've got Stripe working as a solid alternative right now on the test side of things. I'll probably enable it for everyone to use as an option sometime this weekend. -
S&W Performance Center 1911, Dan Wesson, or Springfield TRP?
TGO David replied to WeagleMCvet's topic in Handguns
Among my 1911's I have a Springfield Operator Long Beach, the same Colt Rail Gun that was mentioned above, and a Dan Wesson Specialist. Of the bunch, the Dan Wesson is the best by a pretty good margin. I would choose it if I could only have one of those three. -

I was shocked to see how many firearms related pieces you can buy on eBay now. For example, eBay came up in a Google search result for threaded barrels the other day. There was a time not too awfully long ago where that would have been a forbidden item on eBay. -

I don't agree with the conclusion that PayPal is exactly anti-gun. You can buy a lot of things through them that are firearms related, firearms parts, etc. but just not BATFE regulated items like serialized components, NFA items, etc. It's a fact of life that a lot of payment processing companies don't like that. Neither Stripe or 2CheckOut support serialized item sales either and many banks are cracking down on it as well. They're doing it not necessarily due to politics but also due to the fact that it's hard for them to keep tabs on jurisdictionally allowed sales which puts them at a risk of liability. Do I like that? No. But we have to deal with the world we live in. -
I'm looking for a show of hands. Who here would prefer when purchasing a Benefactor membership on TGO to use a Credit/Debit Card through a processing company like Stripe or 2CheckOut as opposed to using a credit card (or existing account balance) through PayPal? I am adding a poll to this question so if you're on TapaTalk just drop a reply in the thread or access the mobile version of this thread at http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/92050-show-of-hands-who-would-prefer-to-use-a-credit-card-over-paypal/ Edited to add: Do not cast your vote on the notion that either of these choices is more or less "pro gun" than the other. PayPal allows you to pay for a lot of things through them that are firearms related, firearms parts, etc. but just not BATFE regulated items like serialized components, NFA items, etc.

My wife and I actually did inquire about one of the TSA dogs. We'll see what comes of it.

Our forefathers faced similar oppressive taxation, albeit not in the form of "healthcare reform". They did something about it too. I wonder when the American taxpayers will finally hit the limit of what they are willing to put up with?

It's a shame that Critical Incident Strategies isn't still around. Todd and Dustin had a way of presenting good training that was applicable to 99.999% of what the average Joe needs to know about surviving an incident and they managed to do it without profanity, a boisterous YouTube channel or shopping for clothes at The Buckle. The reports that I have heard coming back from students of Randy's (Cruel Hand Luke) classes are nothing but glowing with praise and I have likewise heard excellent things about Tom Givens and Reid Henrichs. (By the way, Tom has been in the industry for about 25 years and knows a thing or two about gunfighting from first-hand experience.) We're rather fortunate in Tennessee to have reputable trainers close and accessible to us. We're also in close proximity to some folks I'm not an advocate of.

OMG... the sister's shirts comment. Nearly lost my drink. Priceless.

Very quick about shipping. I've had numerous positive experiences with them; no negative.

It's kind of sad that Halloween isn't what it used to be. Growing up as a child of the 70's and 80's, I remember neighborhoods just crawling with hundreds of kids in costumes on Halloween, having a lot of fun. We didn't have a single kid stop by last night other than some friends who brought their almost-1yr old by in costume. Granted, the neighborhood is new and there aren't even 15 houses, and we're way out in the middle of the country, but there ARE kids in the neighborhood. None of them came out. I guess I'll have to bust my own pumpkin in the middle of the street tonight.

Has anyone seen a "living" armadillo in Tennessee?
TGO David replied to K191145's topic in General Chat
I see live ones all the time when I'm out walking in Williamson.
