This is the simple truth. Pappy is not worth the money nor the hassle. It has become legendary only due to it's controlled limit quantity nature.

Use Tapatalk. It's the easiest way to do what you're asking. We don't host photos on TGO; we couldn't afford to provide that much space to all of our members on our server. It's better to use a 3rd party service like that.

I don't think he was in Australia when this happened. He was due to be working off the coast of South Africa this month.

Hey... sometimes it's good to get it out. Just don't let it get the best of you.

Has anyone given thought about terrorists Attacks here?
TGO David replied to bersaguy's topic in General Chat
The next few weeks through the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years holidays are going to be worthy of tremendous caution on the part of anyone with common sense and even an inkling of self-preservation. As for me and mine, we definitely plan to... Avoid malls Avoid movie theaters Avoid large advertised gatherings of people Go armed everywhere we can Not go anywhere we can't Worth your consideration: Former CIA Double Agent/Al Qaeda Member: Another Attack Coming in '2 Weeks' http://insider.foxnews.com/2015/11/17/former-al-qaeda-terrorist-america-may-face-copycat-terror-attack -
First I have heard of that breed but I'd definitely be open to it!

Damn. We're going through this right now too, Todd. After the Dobie had to be put down a month ago due to kidney disease, our last Boston (and the best dog of the whole bunch - hands down) is literally dying of what we figure is a broken heart. She has all but stopped eating and refuses to, barfs up anything she does eat, and is slowly getting to the point where she won't drink. The vet said that they couldn't find anything wrong with her, but she's wasting away. We've been trying to get the local GSD rescue to return emails as we're highly interested in adopting one of their dogs, but these people just have gone completely radio-silent on us. It's really aggravating. Regardless, we may have to make the hard decision this weekend to go ahead and put the Boston down. She's hardly got any strength left at this point.

Guys, there's nothing new under the sun as they say.

I don't even know what we're talking about here.

It's a bit like aiming your shotgun behind the duck and expecting to bag him, but better late than never I guess.

You know, if it weren't for France we'd probably all be speaking the Queen's English. People seem to forget that and go straight to the fact that their gutless politicians "ran" (capitulated) in WWII and refer to them as a nation of cowards. The French have a long history of kicking ass.

Good presentation on Active Shooter response

I really need to pick one up and see how the platform works for me. I've got so much invested in the AR platform right now that it's hard for me to want to make the jump, but I am willing to test it out and see. :) -
That explains everything.

I agree 100%

I appreciate the continued prayers but the situation has had its answer delivered. At this point we are merely looking for a time of restoration and healing. Thanks again!

Show Of Hands -- Who would prefer to use a Credit Card over PayPal?
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
It's only mildly ironic to me that despite the responses in this thread favoring credit card over PayPal, only one person has used a credit card to become a Benefactor member since I made the option available -- and even he was talking to me about it long before this thread started. Maybe Oh Shoot was on to something. -
This was mentioned on M4Carbine.net last night and I have been flipping through it a bit. Some of the material is familiar to me thanks to defensive handgun and rifle courses, but there's a ton of new-to-me material that I have found beneficial as well. http://www.powershow.com/view/22c70-NGQwM/Active_Shooter_and_4th_5th_Generation_Warfare_powerpoint_ppt_presentation It'd be interesting to share the bits and pieces that stand out the most to you in this thread.

Thanks all for the prayers. Sometimes the answer we want isn't the one we get. We're a little sadder in my household tonight but recognize that God is in control and are grateful for His many blessings. I appreciate everyone who said a few words for us the past few days.

Show Of Hands -- Who would prefer to use a Credit Card over PayPal?
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Regarding credit cards... I have enabled processing of credit cards through Stripe (www.stripe.com) for TGO Benefactor membership purchases. I'll leave it enabled provided it causes no problems. Right now I've had one person successfully use it so it appears that all is well. If you've been on the fence because of PayPal, feel free to give it a shot. -
Thank you all for the prayers and responses to the thread. The responses provide encouragement; the prayers provide the unseen. This is a medical situation and right now we're just in a holding pattern. More to come tomorrow but right now we simply have no news, good or bad. I'd appreciate your continued consideration.

I'm a pretty private guy despite being at the front of TGO, so all I can say here is that this request is for me and my family and I'd appreciate any prayers you could offer today. Thanks. Update 11/13/15... Thanks all for the prayers. Sometimes the answer we want isn't the one we get. We're a little sadder in my household tonight but recognize that God is in control and are grateful for His many blessings. I appreciate everyone who said a few words for us the past few days. At this point we are simply looking for a period of restoration and healing.

When a guy who's business is forestry tells you what trees to buy... you might want to take note. :)

Why not do a Quarter Circle 10 small-frame Glock lower (9mm) SBR? A lot more practical than what you're proposing and it could be VERY light.
