Try searching as "Tennessee Gun Owners". That should work.

Please Consider Becoming a TGO Benefactor or Authorized Vendor
TGO David replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
As much as I appreciate the desire for non-firearm businesses to support the TGO community, I prefer to keep the ads relevant to shooting, hunting, outdoors. It's been my own experience -- and a fairly well documented fact within the "website monetization" circle -- that people will generally not block ads at the browser level if the ads are relevant and of interest to them. If you guys started seeing a bunch of ads for things not related to our subject matter, I would not be surprised to immediately see a 75-80% drop in ad views and click-throughs. And without those two things, ads are meaningless to the advertiser. -
I love the one that Michael Dresner @ Law Enforcement Sales hooked me up with. Hands down one of my most favorite handguns. In fact, my wife liked it so much that we went and bought a new one for her as well and sold a few of our Smith & Wesson M&Ps to make room for the new platform. Enjoy yours!

Many thanks TDR. -
Why don't ALL sight manufacturers understand this??
TGO David replied to Steelharp's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Agreed. Novak sort of started the whole slanted snag-free design and then everyone piled on and followed suit, but none of them seemed to stop and think about which direction sights are going to snag in like the Honorguard folks have. -
M&P 40 HK P2000 .40SW Glock 23 Gen 3 I like the round just fine. It can be a little "snappy" but in all of the above it is more than manageable.

Welcome to TGO. You'll find that you are surrounded here by like-minded folks.

New 2016 Tennessee Laws That Go In Effect 1/1/2016
TGO David replied to runco's topic in General Chat
Slow your ass down. There, I just saved us more legislation and you some money. -
Pending Gun EO Chatter, Update See Post #114

So it's OK if they erode our rights gradually, in your mind. Surely there is some leftist Liberal hell-hole you could move to that better aligns with your views. -
Pending Gun EO Chatter, Update See Post #114
TGO David replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I can tell you guys that I'm watching this really closely and of course TGO will do whatever we need to do in order to remain legal if some new Executive Order is issued. If that means we partner up even more closely with our Vendors to provide you with a network of FFLs to deal through on private sales, then that's what we will do. In the meantime I suggest you all start bombarding your Congressmen and Congresswomen -- no matter where you live in the US -- and demand that they move swiftly to revoke whatever EO our petty little tyrant issues. You can read up on Executive Orders here: https://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/RS20846.pdf -
Happy New Year. :)

Things I'd like to do in 2016... Get my life back under control at work. Delegate more, tolerate less, reduce stress. Drop 50lbs of fat by July. This starts with the point above. Re-invest more of myself into TGO. Start moving away from making money for other people, and toward making it for myself.

Meh. I'm sure their shareholders pretty much demanded that they do something to compete in the polymer, striker-fired, pistol market. This is likely an improvement over a sharp stick, the SR and P series, but not much more.

Holy crap... I thought *I* purchased good whiskey in surprising volumes.

Pfft... it's less about eyesight for me as opposed to versatility. I can shoot fine with irons. With an RDS you can shoot from eccentric angles so long as you're not so far off center from the optic that you can't see the dot, which could be useful in a fight from a compromised position. I can also hand a gun with RDS to someone who is not as good with iron sights and tell them "Put the dot on the target, hold it there, squeeze the trigger. Repeat." and have someone else on my side in the fight with me. Running a RDS on a handgun has quite a few advantages beyond using it as a range toy or gamer gun.

You left out .40SW ... admit it. You own one. :)
-
I'm with you. I'm also of the belief that if you need something bigger than a 9mm or .40SW to do the job, you shouldn't own one either. :D

Looks like it might be the case... http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/12/24/glock-mos-g17-and-g19/ That would certainly be interesting and might cause me to order yet another Glock 19. :)

There's nothing like a back-handed seasonal greeting. My prayer for you is that God reveals Himself to you in a way that you cannot ignore or escape, and saves your soul for eternity. :)

TGO David replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Spent some time away for the holiday and came back to find this. TripleDigitRide, you are a scholar and a gentleman. I appreciate what you've done here for the TGO community immensely. :) -
Corrrect. Not all nominations are approved and an existing Squire can only submit so many nominations annually.
-
I am. Cheers, Squire.

Glad they arrived! Enjoy! :)
