  1.   That's what I was hoping would start happening for some of you.  Good to hear!
  2. Welcome aboard!
  3. Welcome to TGO.  I'm digging the profile pic.  :)
  4.   Please accept my most sincere condolences.  Words seem insufficient at times like this, but know that your friends on TGO grieve with you.
  5. One of the problems we have fought with over the years has been having our forum emails blocked by various Internet Service Providers (ISPs) or email providers.   I have switched us over to a new service this morning that seems to be providing more reliable delivery of automatically generated emails from the forum.   By this I mean emails sent to help new members activate their accounts, or existing members to update with a new mail address of their own.  Also this affects notices that the forum sends out when you subscribe to a thread, or receive a PM, among other things.  All of the reasons that the forum can send you an email, and your ability to change whether or not it does, can be managed at the following link in your "My Settings" area.   My Settings: Notifications   I am curious to see how many of you suddenly start receiving email from TGO again now that I've made this change.  I am equally curious to see if any of you suddenly stop receiving them.  If that seems to be the case for you, please allow 24-48 hours for your own Internet or Email providers to update their domain records to see our anti-spam DNS records and recognize that our new mail service is "authoritative" for the TGO site.
  6. Heh.  I think 75% of the people at my wedding were carrying, including me, my best man and 3 of the 4 in the groom's party.  It would have been the wrong wedding to barge into and try to cause a ruckus.  :D
  7. Check your Chrome settings:   chrome://settings/   Is the "On Startup" option set to "Continue where you left off" by any chance?   If so, turn it to "Open New Tab Page" option and try clearing your session again.
  8. What browser and flavor of Windows are you using?
  9. I've honestly never seen that problem before; always the opposite.  Session logins are kept alive via your web browser cookies so whatever is causing this is somewhere within your machine's current setup.  :(
  10.   They offer a separate form to complete if you are the site owner.  I went ahead and did that, so hopefully it helps.

    Prayers sent.
  12. Got a canned response from them, as I expected.  Now we wait.
  13. I followed Microsoft's instructions and submitted a report to them that their Safe Screen warning is erroneous.  I would go out on a limb and say that someone has reported TGO as "unsafe" as a malicious act meant to harm the community.  I'm reading reports of other gun forums experiencing the same thing.   The really fantastic part about this is that in order to file this report with them, you have to visit the site from their browser.  They do not provide a link by which to report that your safe is site from, say, Chrome or Firefox.  Really classy of Microsoft.  Hold you hostage to installing Windows 10 and using the Edge browser to fight their claim against your site.   After submitting the fact that the site is NOT malicious in any way to them, I was shown a screen that said clearing TGO is purely up to them and that the request may or may not be granted at a time of their choosing.  I honestly suspect a Class Action lawsuit to be filed against Microsoft for, in effect, harming the business interests of many web site owners, and providing very limited recourse with no guarantee of satisfaction.  If it happens, I'll gladly pile on my claim against them.
  14. Redundant thread!   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/96104-anyone-else-getting-a-microsoft-smart-screen-warning/page-2
  15. How many threads do we need about this?     http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/96104-anyone-else-getting-a-microsoft-smart-screen-warning/page-2
  16. I'm running Windows 10 on two computers and cannot replicate this.  I'll continue to investigate.
  17. I appreciate the continued support, folks!  :)
  18. I love Sedona.  I need to go back soon.
  19.   Sadly you may be right.  Who knew that Idiocracy was going to end up being a documentary?
  20.     I use a Kydex pocket holster from Alan over at www.aholster.com.  TNPopo turned me on to their stuff years ago and I keep buying them.   :)
  21. My VP9 is one of my favorite carry guns.  I don't anticipate throwing it against a tree or dropping it into swap-mud or carrying it on a water-born insertion across a sandy beach anytime soon, so I feel pretty confident that it will go BANG whenever I need it to.   :)
  22. Anyone can check the expiration date of their Benefactor memberships by visiting the "Client Area" link which is exposed when they click their name in the top right hand corner of every screen in the header.   Direct link is here:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/index.php?app=nexus&module=clients&section=purchases
  23.   I understand the logic, but you're talking about a country of people who elected Obama twice.  As a society, we are gluttons for punishment and tend to lick the boot of those who would step on our necks with it.  While that may sound harsh and like a bit of a stretch, I posit that the viewing public who threatens "If Daryl dies, We Riot!" are as full of hot air as the folks who keep voting corrupt politicians into office and then ask why we keep getting screwed over by said same politicians.   Just my extremely pessimistic opinion on that.   :)
  24. Neil, if you need a hand give me a shout.  Like Mac, I've probably got most of the tools you could possibly need to perform those repairs.
  25. I'm going to be completely honest here.  I love it when TGO members, especially those from Tennessee, go take a solid class from solid instructors and learn valuable skills in the process.  Lord knows there are more than enough "bad" instructors out there who have no business teaching, and are instilling bad habits and useless tactics into their students.   BUT.   I am honestly getting pretty tired of folks signing up on TGO just to give an AAR for a school that was invited to help sponsor TGO and thus far has not partnered with us in any way.  I can only surmise that the school realizes the benefit that comes with promoting oneself on social media outlets, especially one that dominates the Tennessee firearms landscape the way that TGO does.  But why then the "guerrilla advertising" instead of just supporting an outlet that could easily direct a healthy amount of business their way?   So the Staff and I are left with a dilemma.  We detest censorship but we also detest people co-opting the popularity and impact that TGO possesses rather than partnering with us in a healthy, mutually beneficial relationship.   To that end, I'm seriously about to start locking down these threads when they diverge from being an AAR by long-time members and become propaganda from folks who just signed up to tell us how awesome the class was.  We know it's awesome.  We'd love to see them support TGO.   Now, I know that the OP of this thread has been here since 2014 and isn't exactly new, despite the low post-count, but I'm also seeing new folks from other states consistently in these type of threads.  See my point?
