  1. Man, even under your old account you'd disappear for long periods of time and then show up periodically. I was looking through the posts under the Ebow1 account and back in 2014 you had a "I've been away for a while" post then too. I'm all for helping folks and would help any of our regulars in a heartbeat... but is this just a "I want to dump a few things for sale and then you're not going to see me again until I need something else" sort of thing?
  2. It's my favorite time of the year! I had to throw up some lights.
  3. Sooooo.... do you want me to merge this account with your old account, make the email address current on ebow1 and then help you fix that stuff? And no, you can't post an Armslist ad here.
  4. I had a bottle of the Dickel in my hand yesterday and couldn't decide, so I put it back. How is it??
  5. It's far better to be "killed" in a simulation than the real thing. Sim rounds hurt, too.
  6. First, I really appreciate the candor and willingness to make yourself vulnerable to scrutiny like this. Much respect. Force on Force is an eye-opener for anyone who has never done it. I have had the opportunity to do it twice now and we ran multiple scenarios both times. In some scenarios I did fine, in others I cleared leather "too soon" and in two I got smoked by not clearing leather soon enough. Both times I got whacked were during the first time I ever did Force on Force training. The second time I did it, I cleared leather quickly on a few scenarios where it was ultimately warranted but the instructors felt like I did it prematurely. I was determined not to get shot. Honestly, it taught me that surviving any such encounter is going to be equal parts intuition, training and luck. The more of any of those that you can add to the mixture, the better off you are. The only one you really have any control over is the element of training. Intuition can be sharpened, but some people just don't have it. Luck is the cruelest of them all. The convenience store scenario is the only one that I watched given limited time, and I really don't have any constructive criticism to offer that you didn't offer on your own, on camera. When you looked away for that one moment the entire situation changed drastically for the worst. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing. But here's what I *will* say: We carry handguns, ultimately, for our own defense. We hope to be able to protect those that we love as well. To a much lesser degree we endeavor to try to protect others too. In that scenario, the shop keeper's luck ran out but you put rounds on bad-guy, saved other patrons, and "walked away" to analyze it later. That is a success in my book. I'd like to do some more Force on Force training myself, soon. Having seen the Shoot House at Royal Range in Bellevue today, I want it even more now.
  7. Thanks to all who ordered! I will be putting in the order with the vendor this morning. Ordering within our own store is now closed.
  8. Very sorry for your loss. We had to put down two dogs just a few months apart last year and both took their last breaths in our arms as well. It was difficult and emotional, but at least they knew we were there and loved them. You have my prayers.
  9. It's pricey but we started buying Sonos units last Christmas and I want to add another Play.1 and Play.5 to the mix this year. We have a few Play.1's now and one Play.5.
  10. Watching that video reminded me that a lot of gun writers really say and write stupid things. Such as pointing out the undercut of the P10's trigger guard and saying it's a popular thing that people do to Glocks. Glocks come with a healthy undercut already! Sure, people add more, but the Glocks I own came with more of an undercut than the P10 appears to have. Also such as calling the grip pattern a "grenade pattern". I guess? I wouldn't have identified it as the type of pattern that a grenade has. It looks very Glock Gen4-like. I do think it was smart to carefully copy the Glock 19/23's dimensions and configuration of the frame forward of the grip to make the P10 fit existing Glock holsters. I also wonder when Glock will file a lawsuit against them. Edited To Add: I want one.
  11. Wanted to add: I am not a fan of flavored whiskeys in the least. I generally shun people who think Fireball is a good drink. But this, this is seriously tasty stuff. You won't impress any hipsters with it, but the flavor is light and enjoyable if you like vanilla in the least.
  12. Red Dog is my go-to place. I cruise through Cool Springs any time I am in the area, though.
  13. I picked up some supplies the other day to prepare for holiday get togethers... The Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky and Iwai Tradition Japanese Whisky are both superb and my first forays into Japanese whisky. If I had to choose between one of them to buy again, it would be hard. I'd want both. The real surprise of this purchase was the Crown Royal Vanilla. I am not a Crown Royal fan but this is just extremely tasty, smooth and drinkable. Dangerously so. I will be buying another bottle of that before Christmas gets here, I can guarantee it. I also picked up a bottle of Monkey Shoulder blended Scotch. It's not shown here, but that is a fantastic bottle of Scotch and under $35. Worth your time to find it and try it if you like Scotch.
  14. I may break my rule about going to see movies AT the movie theater, to go see "Office Christmas Party" because it looks like it covers all of the bases without the awkwardness of facing co-workers the following Monday.
  15. Thanks.
  16. Welcome to the friendliest gun forum on the Internet, Rob.
  17. You guys should see the links for Unread Content and Mark Site Read at the bottom of the pages now.
  18. ORDERING IS OPEN! Click This Link Ordering closes on Friday, December 2nd in the morning. NO REFUNDS AFTER THURS 12/1. I will turn this order in on Friday the 2nd so that we can get them back in time for Christmas.
  19. Haven't gotten them set up yet. Hoping to do so today; have had some things come up that kept me away from the computer.
  20. My Asus monitors drive me nuts at times so it's not just you. Is yours a laptop or a separate Asus monitor? I am working on the TGO Darker theme this morning and am going to try to make a darker version of the new theme as well.
  21. OMG TGO IS THE BRIGHTEST WEB SITE I VISIT ANYWHERE ON THE WEBZ!!! Seriously, adjust your monitor some. There is a big difference between the appearance on my MacBook, iPhone and Samsung tablet and the appearance on my Windows 10 PC with Asus monitors *IF* I do not adust the Asus monitors so that the gamma is lower. Their setting out of the box is "hot" which blows the highlights out of everything. I am sure that all sounds like blah blah blah blah to someone who has a personal preference for darker color schemes, but it is what it is. TGO uses more dark colors than most web sites out there. Our "Darker" theme is a good compromise for someone who surfs a lot in darker rooms with minimal ambient lighting beyond their computer screen. And that's bad for your eyes, just like your mom told you it was.
  22. Try the TGO Darker theme if you need darker colors.
  23. DO NOT use the Dev theme. I didn't realize it was even showing still; I use that as a test bed and it will never ever be reliable.
  24. Must be the screen on whatever device you are using. Adjust the brightness and/or contrast. Chances are you're missing subtle colors in a lot of things.
