  1. A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to upgrade to a newer version of the Raven Concealment Phantom holster that I have had for my Glock 19 for about ten years or so. I almost pulled the trigger (no pun intended) on one from RCS when I saw a promotion that Bravo Concealment was doing on their holsters, and opted to try them out instead. I am glad I did. This thing is legitimately as good as any of my RCS Phantoms and was half the cost.
  2. I have a love/hate relationship with my Glock 19s. I hate that I love them so much. But I do. They work great for me, carry easily, have a decent mag capacity, are reliable and parts are as ubiquitous for them as they are for a Chevy 350 engine. You can damn near buy Glock accessories at the local Quickie Mart with a Slushie and a full tank of gas for your ride. I have several others that are always vying for attention, though. HK VP9, Sig P320 and M&P 2.0.
  3. Check out MediaMonkey.
  4. All the people I've shot were done so with iron sights.
  5. Most of these things have a runtime measured in years at medium LED intensity, and many have a motion sensor to cut the LED off once you have the firearm off of your person at the end of the day. I think if it were seriously a carry gun, I'd leave it turned on. In the event that the LED croaks, you'd have your backup irons.
  6. David does some really amazing work. I'm "friends" with him on Facebook and follow along with his tactical builds as well as his fitness stuff. Not that you could tell the latter by looking at me, but I do follow him. I have a guy in Arizona working on a P320C grip module for me right now and he also offers machining services. I may take him up on milling a G19 slide if I don't scratch this itch some other way first.
  7. Do you have one? I'm seriously torn between that setup, or one milled to set the RMR even lower, or a P320C-RX.
  8. Lately, I have increasingly more been thinking about either sending a Glock 19 slide off to be milled for a Trijicon RMR, or buying a slide or perhaps even full handgun already equipped with a red dot sight. I would like to hear from those of you who already have gone down this road. I do not have problems sighting with traditional irons. I do, however, love the way my red dots work on my carbines, SBRs and PDWs. I think that I would like a red dot on a handgun equally well. One option is perhaps purchasing another Sig P320C but this time getting the RX model with the Romeo1 sight already installed. What do you guys have? Post pics of your setup, if you want. I'm sure that seeing them would push me over the edge.
  9. I am going to kick off a job behind the scenes tonight that will rebuild our Search Index. This process takes a few hours and during that time searching will be limited as will the ability to easily show new threads. It should be done by morning. I apologize for the inconvenience, but this is needed in order to clean up some of the mess left behind by removing the Classifieds software.
  10. After a very long and stressful week at work, I took a few days off and finally got around to opening the stack of mail waiting for me on my desk at home. Much to my surprise I had a box from Willis68 and within it was a beautiful ProTech Dark Angel knife! I'll post some pictures of it here in a little bit, but MAN this thing is sweet. Many thanks @willis68 !!!!
  11. There's no such thing as an unpinned ad anymore. Closing this thread.
  12. Closing this thread. If you are a Benefactor or a Lifetime Benefactor, you now have access to the new forum The Swamp to talk about this crap.
  13. Or you can put a brace on it, shoulder the heck out of it, and not pay the tax stamp.
  14. Ok guys, I think we have enough of a consensus here to predict the way this would go even if 1000 people voted. We'll switch back to the old way of doing this. I will work on it this weekend.
  15. No doubt.
  16. Folks, I need your input. The new Classifieds system is pretty slick and does a lot of things that the old forum-based format didn't let us do easily, but it also fails at sending updates out by email. I have been working to remedy that, but the fix has been elusive and so far nothing has helped correct it. I can either give it some more time and hopefully with the software's author get it corrected, or I can just move us back to the old way of using the Trading Post Forums and threads to list things to buy/sell/trade. One of those things could happen in a day or two, the other could be a week or two. What would you like for us to do?
  17. Well there is a complete upgrade to the forum software pending release soon, and the author of the Classifieds is focusing on getting his software updated to match that. I am hoping that once those two things happen, this will sort itself out. It is extremely odd that the following seems to be true: Regular forum emails are going out. I can see evidence of that in the SendGrid dashboard and am receiving them myself. The only thing not sending with any regularity are Classifieds notification emails, but for some reason "Pinned" advertisements do send. The Classifieds uses the email features of the forum software. So it should be working for all or none, but isn't.
  18. Guys, I am seriously not spending any time on this beyond waiting for the author to work down the list of bug reports and get to it.
  19. I'll set some down-time for the forum this weekend to try the things they outlined. Thanks!
  20. Oh damn. That may seriously be the best one you've had them make yet, Steve. Wow. Wow wow wow.
  21. Guess what, guys. You can talk Second Amendment issues, even political ones, in the forum set aside for it! And I do mean Second Amendment related. If it's more than one-degree of separation from a Second Amendment issue, I don't want to see it - so don't try to stretch the boundaries. Make good choices!
  22. I am very interested in buying a CZ P10C but simply don't get out enough, due to work and family obligations, to scour the local market to find them in store. I thought it might be worth a shot to put out an APB for one and see if any of you could help me in my quest.
  23. I was sorely tempted to pick up the HSL WML for my Sig MPX but ended up buying a Streamlight TLR-1 HL when they were on sale a few weeks ago. That sucker is BRIGHT. 800 lumens, bright!
  24. Yep, the wings are the buttons. More than a 1/2 second press on either side activates the light. The bezel of the light can be rotated 1/4 turn to lock it out as well.
