Likely both.

The first handgun I owned was a Bersa 380 given to me by my dad. I will never part with it because of that. The first handgun that I ever bought myself was a Ruger P-85 back in the early 1990s. What a piece of crap that thing was. I promptly sold it and bought a Smith & Wesson 3913. I miss that gun!

We had "Social Groups" a few years ago but it was an add-on and not native to the software. This stuff is built in.
-
Yeah, let's try to keep the events relevant to shooting, TGO gatherings, etc. I love me some Social Distortion, though.

I'm reading that they are going to make some adjustments on the Clubs feature with the next maintenance release. It is a new feature and the first iteration of it, so I am not entirely surprised that they need to polish it up some.
-
Some clubs can be set up that way but I created all of the current initial batch of clubs and they are joinable by anyone without approval required. Ya'll would be considered as part of the Nashville / Middle-TN area in my opinion.

That's sad. I'm normally a gallows-humor kind of guy but I don't even think I can laugh about this one. Those folks really are at risk.

Is it just me or does the forum seem generally faster and more responsive to page loads since the upgrade? The new server has always been pretty quick but this is a whole other level of fast, based on what I have been seeing.

This Fall is going to be pretty insane for me with my wife and I expecting another child "any day now" but I'd like to try and organize a Meet n' Shoot for late September or early October if at all possible. Very likely on a Saturday at the Charlie Haffner Memorial Range. It's a safe but casual environment and more conducive to being able to get some shooting in and socializing without being constrained or flooded with sound the way you are at indoor ranges. Thoughts?

If you haven't noticed it yet, I enabled the new "CLUBS" feature of the forum software this morning. Right now only I can create clubs but I will look to expand that some as we all come to understand how the feature works and can be used for TGO. You can check them out here: TGO Clubs. Please feel free to use this thread to suggest new Clubs. I've started us off with some Clubs that relate to the major cities / metropolitan areas in Tennessee to act as rally points. I'm already thinking of some things like... Reloading / Casting Competitive Shooters

Tapatalk should be working now.

It is very coincidental, for sure. A post that I read stated that the new striker assembly and whatever pieces are involved were specified as part of the MHS program and just so happened to fix the drop issue. Again, coincidental. I do not typically believe in coincidences of this magnitude either. I don't see how anyone can claim it's a hoax. Several sampled firearms clearly fire when struck on the back of the slide with a mallet or on the back rear of the slide as when dropped at that 30-degree angle. Exaggerated, perhaps, but not a hoax. I'm glad that Sig is stepping up. I expected that they would! They have much riding on the P320.

I am temporarily setting us up with a slightly modified version of the canned, bone-stock IPB look n' feel while I work on some things behind the scenes. Trying to make our regular look n' feel work right with the new version of software AND mobile devices AND all web browsers including junky old MS Internet Explorer. Ya'll are just going to have to bear with me.
-
Well, go complete it.
-
I'm disabling the responsive aspects of the style since it's not working right on iOS mobile devices. It seems to be specific to the TGO layout; I cannot repeat the issue on a test installation. Will have to research that some more.
-
Seems to be working OK in Microsoft Edge, which is a terrible browser as well.
-
Ditch IE. That browser is complete garbage.

Also to note, the search index is currently being rebuilt and will take some time to complete. I would suspect that it will be done during the overnight hours. Just know that in the meantime, some items may not be returned by a search and viewing New Content might not return everything that you expect it to.

Hey, folks. The forum software has been updated today to the latest from Invision Power Board. Undoubtedly, you will find things that function a bit differently than before but I hope that the majority of those differences will be subtle and non-intrusive. Ideally, you will find those differences to be something that improves the community rather than causes you any difficulty. As always, please use this particular subforum to report any problems that you find. Many common problems are caused by cached data in your web browser, so be sure to try clearing cached data first and see if it helps your situation. Instructions on how to clear cached data can be found at the following link: How to Clear Your Cache on Any Browser

I am with you on this one. I had zero, and I mean ZERO, problems out of my P320 but I also never dropped it on concrete or whacked it on the back of the slide with a hammer while it was loaded. But this is apparently too easy to reproduce, repeatedly, which indicates that we shouldn't casually dismiss the potential that something is wrong with the design. However! Sig has a lot riding on the P320 and, as was already pointed out in this thread, is doing the right thing and issuing a voluntary recall. They will correct the problem. They have too much at stake not to.

The leather IWB holster that I ordered from Tim Thurner over at TTGunLeather arrived yesterday and fits my P10C like a glove! Of course, it was made specifically for the P10C and *should* fit like a glove. I have a long-standing practice of ordering a "Mike's Special" from Tim anytime I buy a handgun that will likely see carry duty. Consequently, I have a library of his holsters, all of the similar design, for a lot of handguns. They have always been of top quality, rugged and reliable, and extremely comfortable to wear.

The high desert is a destination many folks choose to move to when they've had enough of the humidity of the southeastern states. Of course, you guys have some scorching hot days in the summer so, I suppose everything has its upside and its downside.

The new version is a "minor" release version (going from 4.1 to 4.2) so it really doesn't change the way the forum looks. Just a few refinements and new things added.
