  1. Watch this video and your problem is solved. https://youtu.be/ag71l93rvao
  2. Not sure that it's that much more "sketchy" to shoot as a FP-45 Liberator in my opinion.
  3. Wanted to give a shout out of thanks to @hipower for the free water filters today. It was good seeing you again and I really appreciate the filters!
  4. It didn't. AuEagle posted about this on Monday, a few posts back.
  5. I agree with others on the better choice would be 30-30.
  6. I used to carry the same with my 642 and was told, on here I believe, I was the ultimate optimist thinking I would stay in the fight long enough to require two reloads with a snubby Currently carry a P365 about 95% of the time now. (13) in the gun and (15) in a spare mag.
  7. Thanks for sharing that comment since I've never thought of it in that light. I guess that's the same issue that occurs with children take over "Daddy's family business". No matter how qualified they are to be running the company, the employees usually have that negative attitude towards the kids.
  8. It's discriminatory when anyone or group of people are not allowed to be involved with, participate in, apply for, bid on, or to be passed over strictly because of the color of their skin. I'm not saying minority owned businesses haven't gotten the shaft in certain situations, but by trying to "right" a "wrong" by reverse discrimination isn't right either. Age old saying, two wrongs don't make it right.
  9. There are targeting laws and policies that cut both ways. Two examples are affirmative action laws, and contracts for minority owned businesses only. While these are designed to give a helping hand and "level the playing field" to a certain group of people, they are still discriminatory to other groups of people.
  10. Given today's climate, I think it's prudent to set the, "a typical gun fight is less than a 3 round average" thinking to the side. So for me and whichever gun I'm carrying, I'll have a spare magazine.
  11. I was a little scared to open up the thread based on the title.
  12. So they do allow you to not accept it from the FFL if something is wrong? If so, that's better than Palmetto State Armory for example. You have to accept the transfer even if something is wrong. You have to take it up with the manufacturer.
  13. It's a bad idea to run sights since they might snag when you whip it out of your pants. Regarding running no flash hider, it helps to illuminate downrange so no need to bother with a flashlight.
  14. Yep, similar to the navigation lights on a boat, which in the boat's case, the sole reason.
  15. I think it depends on the type of pants you normally wear. Loose fitting cargo/jeans type is doable. Tighter fitting dress pants would be harder to deal with. It's on the larger side compared to what most that people would want to pocket carry. It has a pocket clip but it leaves about an inch outside the top of the pocket if you use it. I've carried it sometimes in an ankle wrap if you don't want the bulk in your pocket. It does offer a lot of performance, so if you're willing to deal with the sightly larger side, you'll be happy.
  16. One of the reasons I have hearing protection at the bedside is not from a muzzle blast, it's from the standpoint of blocking out some of the noise from the sirens. I have two internal and one external. I'm of the opinion that it's best to keep the sirens going at least for a period of time. One to alert neighbors, second to keep the intruders a little disoriented until I can react. I've been inside when they're going off and it is quite painful. So that's why I plan to not be so quick to silence the alarm until I know what's going on, hence the bedside hearing protection. Your mileage may vary.
  17. Read the thread title and thought someone got shot in Sullivan County... Good to see it wasn't what I was expecting.
  18. Don't worry, use a powerful enough round and the bullet will clear out the misalignment.
  19. That's the exact reason I went with that model. In a situation that isn't elevated to the firearm level quite yet but needs some defensive action, with 1800 lumens it's bright enough to temporarily blind somebody for a few seconds and give you some separation time to make your next move. Your mileage may vary.
  20. Yep, but some folks can't get past the thought of shooting off their junk.
  21. While it's on the larger size for EDC, I still plan on carrying it, especially in today's climate. Be sure to review the manual for setting the two mode configurations options and selection of lumen levels.
  22. I got in on the initial order and got the M2R Pro Warrior. Willis got the order processed and shipped very quickly. I received the light last night and man, I couldn't be more pleased with light. Superb build quality, features, and performance for an excellent cost. I highly recommend the M2R Pro Warrior. If that model doesn't fit your needs, don't be afraid to order something else, you won't be sorry.
  23. I seem to recall hearing/reading the merits of using FMJ's for .380 caliber SD in order to get enough penetration to offset over garments. Your mileage may vary.
  24. What I found interesting in the video is the mag reloading crew was loading by hand. Must have had some trashed thumbs by the end of the test. Now I feel bad for always wanting to use my Maglula loader.
