  1. Very cool surprise in deed. You will find you just got a new hobby to compliment your other hobby.
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong but even after the bailout, GM filled for bankruptcy. To me that's a failed company.
  3. Yep, I also thank you for taking one for the team!
  4. As others have said, steel cased ammo is fine and is what AK's live on. Regarding the missing test target, so what...Yea it might add a few dollars to the value but AK's are made to shoot, not collect IMO. Carry on but don't go Plum Crazy.
  5. Were they saying it was one of those evil COMPOUND bows?
  6. While 165 yards is definitely a long shot, it is possible with a long barrel magnum revolver. My Ruger 6" barrel .357 is deadly accurate especially when it's in single action mode. You hardly have to touch the trigger for it to fire so assuming you've got a steady rest you can reach out and touch someone. Since long barrel revolvers aren't that popular anymore, it's hard for some folks to believe it until they shoot one themselves.
  7. That's because the people that know it's a good round buy it all up when they find it.
  8. Can we reverse the ticket?
  9. I won a plane ride in a Mitchell B-25 WWII Bomber off of a $5 ticket at an airshow several years ago. I was thrilled to give the ride to my son and he had a blast. The pictures and video he took were very interesting. The bomber was called the Pacific Prowler. Very few are still flying today. Here's a link to the website if you want to take a look. http://www.b25.org/index.html
  10. A friend sent me this link on a new rifle... http://www.theblaze....-civilians-too/
  11. What I found interesting was the clerk didn't ask him why he was naked, just " how are you going to pay for the cigs?"
  12. PM the guy prior to your last post, dlm37015. He sells what you're looking for.
  13. I listened to two free podcasts on iTunes a while back on the subject. They were from Marty Hayes which runs the Armed Citizen Legal Defense Network. I tried to link them directly from iTunes but it didn't work. If you are interested go to the podcast section. Look for Practical Defense podcasts. The info is in two podcasts. The first one is episode 198, titled The Decision to use Lethal force by Marty Hayes. The second part is episode 201 titled Legal Aftermath with Marty Hayes. These were extremely informative. You will have to first listen past the info about the Armed Citizen Network "commercial" but then he goes into the details of what to do. I took notes so I could review it from time to time. It's a worthwhile listen.
  14. That Sir is funny.
  15. Yea...me too. I've been paying property taxes to help fund education for over 25 years and haven't used a dime of it for my family. Sure makes me feel good inside.
  16. + 1. From what I hear they can be difficult to find though.
  17. Agreed, but how many of those households have more than a few small boxes of ammo on hand? Most folks don't have a stock pile. As Seabeejason said, I'm guessing as well that most military folks wouldn't carry out certain orders, but there would be some that would.
  18. If the government can control the food supply, then they can control the people. It's as simple as that.
  19. 6.8 is correct, the President gets too much credit for the success or failure of the county. Congress IMO are the ones running the show. TDR it would be interesting to see which party has had the most times at controlling both the House and the Senate at the same time. Either way you can't get much traction flipping back and forth between parties each election cycle. Term limits its the only way to keep them focused on the country and not themselves.
  20. For a minute there I thought this was a Graycrait thread. That is unique.
  21. I like that. Looks cool.
  22. Tried to stop for breakfast on my way to work but had to abort due to the long line that would have made me late. I'll try again on my way home.
  23. Very nice work indeed!
  24. Nice Sig! Congrats on the job as well.
  25. Thank you kind Sir.
