Do you have any friends that have a red dot setup you can at least try to see how it works for you? It does take a little getting used to based on my experience with shooting a friend's pistol, but I think the proliferation of EDC red dot's over the last several years isn't just a fad. Folks have found them to be beneficial for several reasons. While I don't currently have a an EDC red dot pistol, it's not because I don't think they are a good idea, I just haven't got one yet. Maybe some day.

One use of the drug is a heartworm preventative in dogs unless I'm mistaken.

Just about everything comes with a risk. Not taking a vaccine has a risk, just like taking the vaccine has a risk, as we will see once it becomes widely available. As we have seen with the virus to this point, unless you are in a high risk demographic group, your chance of being very ill or dying is extremely low. In that case, most likely feel there is less risk in not taking the shot until more is known. I know I have an aversion to being a guinea pig.

Wife is a nurse at a surgery center. Same at her employer with the flu shot. Nurses not taking it had to wear a mask. Now since everyone has to wear a mask regardless, it took that sigma away.

There will likely be some legal challenges on forced vaccines due to certain medical conditions. What if the employee has Guillain Barre Syndrome for example? I don't know much about it but have heard they are not advised to take vaccines like flu shots, which I would think would fall into the same category as a covid vaccine. I'm sure there are other medical conditions that limit one's ability to get a vaccine. What if the employee already had covid and has been tested and shown to have antibodies to fight the virus? That's the purpose of a vaccine, to develop antibodies, so why take it if you already have them?.

Yeah, I don't shoot there often. For clarification they only make you purchase ammo from them if you use one of their rental guns. Otherwise they just don't want you using reloads.

Thing is, unless they've changed their policy, RR doesn't allow you to shoot reloads on their range. Good thing I have empty factory boxes.

Technician at this point. Thinking about taking the General at some point to be able to get into some of the HF bands, but I want to get my "feet wet" first.

It wasn't hard I guess, but I really studied since I wanted to learn the material. Got a 100. Used both the ARRL book and an app to take the section quizzes and sample tests.

I took it down in Murfreesboro with the Stones River club since it was the closest one to Nashville at the time. I don't remember how they said they submit. They did said it would be at least the Tuesday after the test for them to submit. Checked again just now and nothing is showing up yet.

I took my exam last weekend so it will be about another 1-2 weeks before I get my call sign. I got a Baofeng BF-F8HP a couple of weeks and have gotten a few accessories/upgrades so far. Thankfully I live pretty close to a good repeater. Looking to join the Nashville ARC club since they're the ones I been listening to the most.

Take a look at some of the knives from Zero Tolerance. They are nice quality and not too expensive. A good number of them are spring assist flippers, if that makes any difference to you. (Typically these are not considered auto knives in most places, YMMV)

We got a phone message yesterday from Costco saying we bought some of the peaches that were suspect. That purchase was a couple of weeks ago so the peaches are long gone and now sitting somewhere in the sewer....

I'm hoping one of the changes to the "norm" is the permanent shift of companies to remote work were possible. Before the virus, some companies wouldn't entertain the idea on most of their jobs, but were forced to and saw that it actually worked better than expected. The reduced traffic load has been truly nice. It's reduced my 50 minute one way commute down to 40, and mental frustration is less. Unfortunately my job doesn't afford remote work, I'll take the side benefit and still enjoy it.
